DEVICE FOR NON-INVASIVE NEURO-STIMULATION BY MEANS OF MULTICHANNEL BURSTS
A device is provided for the stimulation of neurons that includes a non-invasive stimulation unit to generate stimuli in multiple stimulation channels, where the stimulation unit stimulates a neuron population in the brain and/or spinal cord of a patient in different locations for each of the stimulation channels. Moreover, the device includes a control unit that controls the stimulation unit to generate repetitive bursts in each of the stimulation channels, where each of the bursts includes multiple stimuli and is designed so that they do not reset the phase of the neuronal activity of the respective stimulated neurons.
Method for treating erectile and sexual dysfunction with dual extracorporeal shockwave therapy
A medical procedure for treating human male and female patients suffering from erectile or sexual dysfunction, respectively, with extracorporeal dual shockwave therapy applied to strategic, gender-specific anatomical regions to improve sexual function. Some or all of the gender-specific anatomical regions may be anesthetized using a topical or local anesthetic, and both radial and focused extracorporeal shockwaves are applied to the anatomical regions at predetermined bar values, frequencies, and number of shockwave pulses, based on the severity of the sexual dysfunction. Radial and focused extracorporeal shockwaves may be used in additional to convention methods of treating both erectile and sexual dysfunction.
CONFORMAL VEST VENTILATOR
The Conformal Vest Ventilator (CVV) is a vest-like mechanism to cause or aid breathing in humans The Conformal Vest Ventilator consists of a series of expanding and contracting tubes that fit around the torso, similar to clothing, and which change shape in a manner that expands the thoracic cavity to create negative pressure ventilation in the lungs, similar to the natural ventilation created by the diaphragm muscle and the expanding rib cage. The CVV creates a breathing support system that is less intrusive than existing methods, and can improve the lives of people with COPD or paralyzed diaphragm muscles and is useful in other medical conditions, including sleep apnea, critical care, spinal cord injuries, and athletic training or physical therapy when the primary goal is to increase lung capacity.
FACIAL BEAUTIFYING AND CARE APPARATUS
A facial beautifying and care apparatus includes a beauty bar (1) having an air supply passage (A), a negative pressure connecting hole (132), a conductive suction nozzle (15) and a first connection port (134); an EMS generation module (20) inside the beauty bar (1) electrically connected to the first connection port (134); an external negative pressure unit (6) separated from the beauty bar (1) and having a negative pressure driving control module (62) and a second connection port (637); the negative pressure driving control module (62) having an air supply tube assembly (66) with a negative pressure communicating hole (661); a communicating tube (7) communicating with the negative pressure connecting hole (132) and the negative pressure communicating hole (661); a conductive wire (8) connected to the first connecting port (134) and the second connecting port (637). Accordingly, the effects of facial skin firming, cleaning, beautifying and caring are achieved.
VIBROTACTILE STIMULATION DEVICE
A vibrotactile stimulation device intended to be applied against a body medium (MC) to be stimulated, produced in the form of a functional unit, comprising a vibrating effector suitable for applying, to said medium, pulses of mechanical vibrational energy, and a controller for controlling the effector according to stimulation rules. The functional unit further houses a first electrode suitable for cooperating with at least one second electrode separated from the first electrode in order to supply signals representative of a cardiac activity and a muscular activity on the medium to be stimulated, said controller being sensitive to cardiac activity and muscular activity signals in order to influence the stimulation. The stimulation device may be used for body stimulation in combating sleep apnea, with improved detection.
Apparatus and method for reduction of neurological movement disorder symptoms using wearable device
A multimodal wearable band which uses mechanical vibrations to stimulate sensory neurons in the wrist or ankle in order to reduce the severity of tremors, rigidity, involuntary muscle contractions, and bradykinesia caused by neurological movement disorders and to free users from freezing induced by movement disorders. The device uses sensors to provide output used by a processing unit to determine the optimal stimulation pattern for each user and to determine when stimulation is necessary, and then uses one or more vibration motors to accordingly stimulate the user's neurological pathways to lessen the severity of a user's symptoms. The device can also be adapted to integrate with 3rd party devices.
Systems, devices, components and methods for triggering or inducing resonance or high amplitude oscillations in a cardiovascular system of a patient
Various embodiments of systems, devices, components, and methods for providing external therapeutic vibration stimulation to a patient are disclosed and described. Therapeutic vibration stimulation is provided to at least one location on or adjacent to a patient's skin (such as through clothing or a layer disposed next to the patient's skin), and is configured to trigger or induce resonance or high amplitude oscillations in a cardiovascular system of the patient. Inducing such resonance can aid in training autonomic reflexes and improve their functioning.
Pain-relieving apparatus
The pain-relieving apparatus has a housing, a stimulating surface, user inputs, and a plurality of ports, such as a battery port and a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) output connector. The stimulating surface may include a suction ring, vacuum apertures, vibration stimulators, a plate, heat and cold transducer elements, and medicinal holders to provide various approaches for relieving pain. The pain-relieving apparatus may also have a sound speaker for producing nerve stimulating sounds.
Skin care device
Provided is a skin care device including a head part brought into contact with skin of a user, a battery configured to supply power for operation of the head part, a body part having a fastening portion provided at one end to which the head part is fastened and provided with the battery therein, and a cap assembly detachably attached to one end of the body part and forming an accommodation space configured to accommodate the head part, wherein the cap assembly includes a sterilization module disposed to irradiate ultraviolet light toward the head part when the cap assembly accommodates the head part.
GYM ON A CHIP FOR SMALL ANIMAL EXERCISE
A new on chip system, named Acoustic Gym, to apply a surface acoustic wave (SAW) has been developed to control the swimming exercise of a large number of small animals such as C. elegans and Zebra fish, at desired intensities and durations. The SAW device consists of a circular chamber filled with fluid, which is placed in the center between a pair of offset interdigital transducers (IDTs) that are deposited on a piezoelectric substrate. Upon actuation from a radio frequency (RF) source, the SAW is generated and propagates along the substrate towards the microchamber. Once the SAW reaches the chamber, it induces an acoustic streaming in the fluid inside the chamber to stimulate swimming exercise of small animals. The streaming velocity can be precisely controlled via the RF signal input power, thus regulating the duration and intensity of exercise of the animals.
