RETAINING DEVICE FOR A URINARY CATHETER AND ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A RETAINING DEVICE WITH A CATHETER
The retention device is configured to be coupled to the end outer part of a urinary catheter or feeding catheter of the type having a “T” shaped valve, the retention device comprising a body with: a first portion extending in a longitudinal direction “X” and having an inner recess for receiving and accommodating an end part of a urinary catheter or feeding tube where the first portion is closed above by an upper portion comprising an anti-leakage element of the open end of the catheter or tube connecting the catheter, a second portion extending in a second direction “Y”, transverse to the longitudinal direction “X”, wherein the second portion comprises an inner recess extending along the transverse direction “Y”, and wherein the second portion is open at one of its ends, while at the opposite end it comprises an anti-opening wall, and a fastening element, configured to releasably fasten the retention device to an element external to the user's body.
This allows the user to perform any type of sports activity with the catheter fitted and placed inside the support without any risk of accidental action.
The invention also concerns the assembly formed by this retention device and a catheter.
Enteral Nutrition Gastronomy Access Device
The present invention is an enteral nutrition gastrostomy access device. A permanent or semi-permanent stoma liner is adjustably positioned within a stoma channel extending through a patient's abdominal and stomach walls. The stoma liner is characterized by an adjustable bladder capable of applying variable torsional force to one or more pinch points along the interface between the stoma liner and the stoma. The stoma liner is configured to receive a plug with a central threaded channel, into which a cap or enteral feeding device may be wholly or partially inserted. The central threaded channel is characterized by requiring application of a linear push force to apply but requiring application of both a linear pull force and a torsional force to remove.
Tube securement system
The invention relates to systems for securing a tube (e.g. feeding tube) and/or a patient interface or a dermal patch to a user. One embodiment comprises a holder, an interface side of the holder attachable to the patient interface or the dermal patch for securing a feeding tube to the patient interface or the patch, the holder comprising at least a first channel or recess for receiving the feeding tube to couple the feeding tube to the patient interface. Another embodiment comprises a patient interface itself comprising a backing for positioning on a patient's face, a dermal patch having a patient side and an interface side, the patient side of the patch attachable to the user, the patch comprising at least a first flap portion attachable to the tube for affixing the tube to the patch, a two-part releasable connection arrangement for releasably securing the patient interface to the patch.
Respiratory mask with nasogastric tube path
A respiratory mask can be used to provide therapy to patients who also require a nasogastric (NG) tube. The mask seal can include a path that is designed to deform around an NG tube or other without lifting the mask away from a patient's face. The deforming path can help to minimize gaps that form between the patient's face and the mask seal as a result of the tube, thus reducing leaks and improving the efficacy of the treatment.
TUBE SUPPORT
A support for supporting a portion, external to a patient, of a tube partly embedded in the patient. The support includes a torso embracing portion for embracing a torso of the patient. The support also includes one or more tube holding portions for holding the tube. The tube holding portion(s) are fixable to, or part of, the torso holding portion.
PROTECTIVE VEST DEVICE AND RELATED METHOD THEREOF
A protective vest device that will adequately secure an infant from the ability to self-dislodge medical life-sustaining supply lines or equipment, while also supporting proper body alignment. The protective device mitigates self-dislodgement while allowing for free movement and proper alignment of infants arms and hands and which are allowed to touch one another, thereby not inhibiting the ability to explore and expand brain development through tactile stimulation and therefore fostering healthy neuronal pathways of the infant. The fostering healthy neuronal pathways is provided by, for example, allowing the hands to touch one another as the infant develops a sense of where it is in space and time as it continues to grow outside of the womb. By maintaining proper body alignment of infant in the device and the configuration of the device, the device supports healthy musculoskeletal development with a stretchy womb like material to mimic the spring back effect of the uterine wall when a fetus pushes against a uterus.
Multifunction oxygen mask
A multifunction oxygen mask comprises a mask body and a gas delivery adapter. A nasal chamber is formed in the upper portion of the mask body. An access aperture is formed through and adjacent to a lower portion of the mask body. The access aperture permits access to the mouth of a patient. The gas delivery adapter includes a first end coupled to a gas delivery adapter aperture of the mask body. An oxygen supply port radially extends outward from the gas delivery adapter. The oxygen supply port includes an external inlet portion, an outlet portion positioned within the gas delivery adapter, and a diverter member adjacent to the outlet portion. The diverter member is configured to direct a flow towards the first end of the gas delivery adapter. A meter-dose inhaler port radially extends outward from the gas delivery adapter. The gas delivery adapter includes a nebulizer port.
SAFETY CLASP AND GARMENT CLIP
The invention concerns a safety clasp (10) comprising a clasp base (22); a securing element (32) with a sharp end (33), a piercing section (34) and a support (36); and a clasp body (12) comprising first and second body sections (12A, 12B) and a recess (13) defined therebetween, the body being adjustable relative to the clasp base and the securing element such that in an open configuration the recess is clear and only the first body section houses the sharp end and in a closed configuration the piercing section bridges the recess and only the second section houses the sharp end. The invention further relates to a garment clip (100) comprising said safety clasp.
