Method and Device for Producing an Extrudate
In a method and a corresponding device for producing an extrudate, starting products are introduced into an extrusion container, heated, and homogeneously intermixed by dual asymmetric centrifugation of the extrusion container. The extrusion container is rotated about a primary rotation axis that extends outside the extrusion container, and is simultaneously rotated about a secondary rotation axis that extends through the extrusion container and is situated at an acute angle with respect to the primary rotation axis. Lastly, the intermixed starting products are jointly extruded from the extrusion container. The method and the corresponding device are particularly suitable for processing small and very small substance quantities.
Process and Apparatus for Production of a Granular Cannabinoid Material Essentially Soluble in Aqueous Medium
A process and to an apparatus for production of a granular cannabinoid material essentially soluble in aqueous medium, wherein a matrix liquid composed of a first liquid that dissolves a cannabinoid or composed of a first liquid that dissolves a cannabinoid and a second liquid that forms an emulsion with the first liquid and a cannabinoid dissolved in the first liquid or emulsion is produced. The matrix liquid is dried by convection, and wherein the apparatus has a vessel system having an inlet and a matrix liquid outlet for production of the matrix liquid and a drying apparatus fluidically connected to the matrix liquid outlet of the vessel system.
PRODUCING EROSION-CONTROLLED RELEASE DEVICES
In an example implementation, a method of producing an erosion-controlled release device includes accessing erosion-controlled release input data, and translating the input data into an erosion-controlled release print file. The method includes executing the erosion-controlled release print file to control a 3D printing system to produce an erosion-controlled release device that comprises an active ingredient release profile based on the erosion-controlled release input data.
Production line for the production of medicinal products and production plant comprising such a production line
A production line is, suitable for the production of medicinal products that include at least one active ingredient. The production line includes an extruder for producing an extrudate from the active ingredient and at least one excipient intended to form an encapsulating matrix of the active ingredient, and a cooling member for cooling the extrudate at the outlet of the extruder. The extruder includes a barrel and at least two parallel screws housed in the barrel and interpenetrating with one another to mix the or each active ingredient with the or each excipient. The barrel is oriented vertically and the footprint occupied by the production line is less than 0.5 m.sup.2.

DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a drug delivery system (1) comprising a core (2) made of a first polymeric material (3) and comprising a first active ingredient (4), and a sheath (5) made of a second polymeric material (6) and comprising a second active ingredient (7) dispersed and/or incorporated in the second polymeric material in a concentration of above 10 wt % based on the weight of the sheath (5), and below the percolation threshold of said second active ingredient in the sheath (5). Using the drug delivery system according to the present the inventors have found that it is possible to attain independent and optimal release of two active ingredients without the need for complex assembly of parts and without the need to use sophisticated multi-layer extrusion technology.
