The present disclosure relates to a terminally heat-sterilized ready-to-use parenteral nutrition formulation comprising all macronutrients and micronutrients required to meet the clinical guidelines for parenteral nutrition, wherein all said micronutrients and macronutrients are provided in one multi-chamber bag (MCB). The disclosure is also directed to a parenteral nutrition formulation comprising all such macronutrients and micronutrients. More specifically, the present disclosure is directed to a MCB comprising at least five chambers containing a carbohydrate formulation in a first chamber, an amino acid formulation in a second chamber, a lipid formulation in a third chamber, a fourth chamber comprising a vitamin formulation and a fifth chamber comprising a trace element formulation, wherein the carbohydrate formulation, amino acid formulation and/or the lipid formulation may also contain certain vitamins and certain trace elements that can be stably accommodated therein.

A compact pill holder for pills for combating heart attacks, comprising a two-part hinged receptacle suitable for containing aspirin and nitroglycerine tablets. Seals protect the tablets from contamination. The receptacle is compact, and may have length of about eighty millimeters, width of about fifty millimeters, and overall thickness of about five millimeters. The pill holder may include printed information relating to expiration dates of the tablets, CPR instructions, and medical history of the user. The receptacle may have a tether enabling the user to suspend the pill holder from the neck for example.

It is an object of the present invention to provide an object collating device and an object collating method that enable matching of images of a dividable medical article with desirable accuracy and easy confirmation of matching results. In the object collating device according to the first aspect, when the object is determined to be divided, the first image for matching is collated with the image for matching (the second matching image) for the objects in the undivided state, so that the region to be matched is not narrowed, and matching of the images of the dividable medical article is achieved with desirable accuracy. In addition, since the first and second display processing is performed on the images for display determined to contain the objects of the same type, matching results can easily be confirmed.

One embodiment provides a pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) including a base portion (810) and a counting tray (830) provided on the base portion (810). The counting tray (830) is tilted about a first axis to empty medications into a first package and tiled above a second axis to empty medications into a second package. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) also includes a camera system (950) to capture images of the counting tray (830), the packages, and a label on the packages. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) verifies whether a correct number and type of medications are received on the counting tray (830).

A container forming apparatus includes a plurality of forming members that have outer forming surfaces, which are shaped to form pockets in a sheet of material. A plurality of actuators are in mechanical connection with the forming members. The actuators are able to extend and retract the forming members. A controller is in electrical communication with the plurality of actuators. The controller is able to simultaneously extend any one or any combination of the forming members to create a plurality of pockets in a determined pattern in the sheet of material to produce a customized blister pack.

A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. The reservoir is suitable for mixing a topical formulation of multiple constituents using an electronic mortar and pestle and is closed using the applicator cap. Alternatively, the reservoir may be prefilled with a ready-to-use cream and medicament formulation, then sealed with a removable seal. The topical applicator can also include a one-way ratcheting feature to prevent reverse movement (repel) of the metered dosing system. The system includes a control system comprising or being connected to a database comprising data objects corresponding to available objects. An input area is provided to receive batches of unsorted medical instruments or pharmaceutical product containers, and an identification area having an identification unit. A temporary sorting area is also provided, including a plurality of storage positions provided with visual indications capable of visually indicating one of the storage position at a time, and an output area, possibly being overlapping with the input area, arranged to receive medical instruments and/or pharmaceutical products as assembled sets. The controller is arranged to receive information from the identification unit obtained when an item is arranged on the identification area, and to identify the item in the database.
