Mouth Appliance Devices, Systems, and Methods
A tray appliance of the present disclosure has a first dissolvable sheet and a first substance formed within a second dissolvable sheet. The first dissolvable sheet is laid on the second dissolvable sheet and is formed into a first dissolvable negative impression of a person's teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue, such that when first dissolvable negative impression is worn by a person, the first dissolvable negative impression dissolves and releases the first substance into the person's saliva, teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue.
MATERIAL SCIENCES APPLICATIONS FOR AN ORAL APPLIANCE FOR DELIVERY OF A MEDICAMENT
An oral appliance for delivering a medicament to an oral cavity is provided, the oral appliance having an interior surface and an exterior surface, the interior surface and/or exterior surface configured to contour a treatment area and deliver medicament thereto, the treatment area comprising soft tissue, hard tissue or a combination of soft tissue and hard tissue, at least a portion of the interior surface and/or exterior surface of the oral appliance being less, equal or greater in hardness, elasticity, flexibility, density, porosity, hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity relative to the treatment area. In some embodiments, the oral appliance is designed based on various material science properties to enhance medicament delivery and patient compliance.
AUTOMATED ORAL COMPOUND ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
An automated oral compound delivery system configured to be removably inserted into a patient's mouth for receiving a signal from a device for intraoral delivery of a drug comprising an oral retainer that can be configured to be removably secured in the patient's mouth wherein the oral retainer can comprise at least one attachment point. An oral delivery system can comprise a housing having top plate and a bottom plate. The housing can further comprise a first storage chamber and a second storage chamber wherein a compound can be contained within the first storage chambers. An intake valve and a release valve can be attached to the housing wherein the housing is pressurized by a pressurization system that is attached to the storage chamber. A controller for activating the device and dispensing the compound into the patient's mouth.
METHODS OF MAKING AN ORAL APPLIANCE
An oral appliance and a method of making the oral appliance for delivering a medicament to an oral cavity are provided. The method comprises forming a non-porous material into a portion of the oral appliance; and applying a porous material to one or more discrete regions of the portion of the oral appliance to make the one or more discrete regions of the oral appliance porous thereby forming the oral appliance.
SAFER AND MORE EFFECTIVE METHODS OF TRANSMUCOSAL DELIVERY FOR RAISING BLOOD PRESSURE
The present invention provides methods of non-gastrointestinal transmucosal drug delivery that secures, sheaths, and protects vasoconstricting and or adrenergic drug from mixing with saliva and being swallowed, thereby preventing both decreased bioavailability and loss of efficacy, and ensuring restoration of proper blood perfusion. In preferred embodiments, the adrenergic drug is epinephrine and the method treats hypotension associated with anaphylaxis.
Intraoral Device
An intraoral device, comprising an antiviral and/or antibacterial and/or antifungal ion releasing agent material(s) which, when said device is exposed to the oral cavity and to any gases, liquids and solids passing through the oral cavity, and is capable of inactivating viruses and/or bacteria and/or fungi penetrating into the oral cavity.
Apparatus for dispensing medicine, vitamins and/or samples
An apparatus for distributing medicines, vitamins and/or samples, including an organizer and dispensing units for medicines, vitamins and/or samples. The organizer includes seats in which to place the dispensing units. The apparatus includes an identification device connected to a data processing device and containing dispensing data on medicines, vitamins and/or samples, including detecting members controlled to a detecting state by detecting signals generated on the basis of dispensing data in the data processing device. The identification device is configured to be brought in connection with the organizer so that at least some of the detecting members are aligned with at least some of the seats of the organizer, wherein at least those dispensing units, which are aligned with at least one detecting member, can be identified by means of detecting signals generated on the basis of dispensing data in the data processing device.
Intra-oral device for treating obesity
The present invention relates to an intra-oral device including a carrier that has an outside wall, an inside wall and an occlusal wall connecting the outside wall to the inside wall. The carrier has at least one inset and at least one insert carrying a beneficial agent that is adapted to fit the inset, and the beneficial agent is capable of promoting weight loss. The intra-oral device is positioned in a user's mouth so that the intra-oral device is in contact with the user's cheeks, lips and/or tongue and the beneficial agent passes through the mucosal membrane of the user's mouth.
System and medication box for improving medication adherence
A medication adherence system and corresponding medication box for improving medication adherence. The system includes the medication box, which is transparent and has a machine-readable marker, such as a QR code, on or beneath the floor thereof. The marker is capable of being scanned and read through the transparent bottoms of individual chambers. Data embedded in the marker includes, but is not limited to, the user's medication plan, the date and time when the medication is to be ingested, and instructions for recording the date and time when the marker is scanned and read. The underlying software program/application processes this information and provides an indication as to the user's compliance with the medication plan.
Intraoral fluid delivery system and method
A system for intraoral fluid delivery comprises a rate-controlled and/or volume-controlled fluid supply device, a reservoir for holding one or more fluids to be delivered to a patient's oral cavity, a mouthpiece to be worn by a patient at least partially within the patient's oral cavity, and tubing to carry the one or more fluids from the fluid supply device to the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece comprises a fluid inlet adjacent and/or exterior to the patient's oral cavity when the mouthpiece is worn by the patient, a fluid outlet posterior to the fluid inlet, and a fluid channel therebetween.
