Automated medication disposal messaging system
Techniques are described for automated medication disposal messaging. One method includes receiving information associated with a prescription order of a user account. In some cases, the information associated with the prescription order includes a medication identifier, medication dosage indication, and medication quantity. The method may include calculating a run out date corresponding to the target medication with the disposal guideline based on the medication dosage indication and the medication quantity. The method may also include communicating a disposal notification for the target medication based on the run out date.
COMPLIANCE SYSTEM AND SMART PACKAGE SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY DISPLAYING USE CONDITIONS
There is provided a system for monitoring a package. The system comprises a scanning device and a dynamic display connected to the package and comprising a display. The scanning device scans the dynamic display and sends the scanned results to a server, which processes the results and sends the scanning device an update for the dynamic display. The scanning device then sends the update to the dynamic display and the dynamic display changes the display to show the update. There is also provided a system for monitoring compliance of a user with health related activities, assisting a user with compliance, encouraging a user to comply and detecting compliance.
Wearable devices and systems for prescription adherence
A wearable computing device for monitoring and facilitating prescription adherence by a patient is provided. The wearable computing device is in communication with an inventory management server. The wearable computing device includes a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to receive a set of prescription plan data including at least a prescription identifier and a prescription rate associated with the prescription identifier. The processor is further configured to determine an inventory level associated with the prescription identifier. The processor is also configured to determine, based at least on the prescription rate, a time value representing a period of time in which a patient is prescribed to take a pharmaceutical associated with the prescription identifier. The processor is additionally configured to present a prescription inventory indicator representing the inventory level. The processor is also configured to present a timer indicator representing the time value.
Systems and methods for treatment adherence in substance abuse treatment
Patients with substance abuse problems may be prescribed regular medication that dulls the positive effects of the substance. However, one of the largest challenges for substance abuse patients is that many do not regularly take their medication as they want to experience the high of the substance. Accordingly, systems and methods have been developed for medication sessions that distract the patient from taking the medicine by incorporating the reminder and other med actions in close temporal proximity.
Consumer medication adherence system
A medication adherence system with a pill container with 2D barcodes printed along one or more compartment stores medication to be taken. A user scans the 2D barcode using a first electronic device with a mobile app installed and the user confirms the correct medication for the appropriate day and the system synchronizes scanning and scheduling data to an Internet cloud service. Separately, proxy users and caregivers can use a second electronic device to retrieve data from the cloud and manage a patient's medication scheduling and the devices are in data communication through the mobile app and associated cloud service. Proxy users can seamlessly monitor and manage medication adherence of semi-independent persons using the described system.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING PATIENT ACCESS TO MEDICAMENTS
Methods, systems and apparatuses are provided for controlling and tracking patient access to medicaments. A patient is provided with medication in locked pill containers that must be unlocked before the patient can access medication. The patient is forced through an interactive session periodically with a master system, via a communicative intermediary, in order to obtain a valid passcode for each batch of medications. The patient may be assessed during each interaction with the master system. That assessment may include questions about status codes displayed on each medication container. These status codes may encode detail about the patient's pattern of accessing medication. A rate of medication usage can also be deduced from the rate at which the patient contacts the master system. After patient assessment, the master system may elect to not provide the patient with an access code, such as if the assessment indicates overuse of the medication.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND DISPENSING DOSES OF MEDICATION
Devices, systems and methods for monitoring medication are provided. A medication monitoring device according to one implementation includes a container configured to store a plurality of medication pills and a gating device connected at an opening of the container. The gating device is configured to electronically monitor the release of at least one of the medication pills. A system and method for monitoring the administration of medication to a patient are also provided. The system, according to one embodiment, comprises the medication monitoring device and a medication management server in communication with the medication monitoring device via a communication network.
MEASURING DEVICE AND AN EXECUTION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a measuring device and an execution method thereof characterized in that open/close status of a cover body over a can body is recognized, the cover body is unscrewed or extracted from the can body, status of the cover body separated from the can body is detected by an electronic module mounted on the cover body, and the electronic module transmits a message to an appliance with the cover body totally separated from the can body.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRACKING MOVEMENT OF AN OBJECT WITHIN A CONTAINER
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a platform for monitoring patient adherence to a medication regimen. Certain aspects of the present disclosure also proved various components that may help enable such a platform, such as a smart collar capable of detecting removal and/or insertion of objects from a container (such as a pill container).
