The latch is configurable between: i) an unlocked state for insertion of the item into, or removal of the item from, the housing, in which the latch is movable between an open position and a closed position; and ii) a locked state for retaining the item in the housing, in which the latch is maintained in the closed position. Configuration between the locked state and the unlocked state is effected by a change in orientation of the retainer.

In certain embodiments, the ECU may include a condenser, a humidity controller, a liquid tank and a power source. Certain embodiments may include a warmer, temperature and/or humidity sensors, and/or a lock. Various combinations of the foregoing components and features may be incorporated, depending on the requirements of each particular implementation.

Conversely, the one-way valve may be removed from the reusable food pouch if the food product has a consistency more like thick oatmeal and/or applesauce to allow for free flow of the food product through a spout of the reusable food pouch.

The rigid cover may have a male feeding tube connector that is uniquely connectable to a female feeding tube connector of a feeding tube or may have a female feeding tube connector that is uniquely connectable to a male feeding tube connector of a syringe. With the male and female feeding tube connectors connected, the deformable receptacle and the feeding tube or syringe are in fluid tight fluid communication to allow the flowable food product to be forced out of the opening of the deformable receptacle and into the feeding tube or syringe when the deformable receptacle is squeezed.

The non-return valve includes a connection portion that is connected at the body, an extension portion for disturbing the laminar flow state of the internal liquid of the body when shaking the body, and a valve for allowing only the air outside to enter into the body, the extension portion is tapered and extends along a surface of the body toward the interior of the body, the extension portion is located at the inside of the bottom of the body, or located above the inside of the bottom of the body and in the vicinity of the inside of the bottom of the body. This design can solve the problem that the structure of the existing feeding bottle may cause flatulence to the baby due to the unbalanced pressure and may easily lead to incomplete dissolution of the milk powder.
