ATTENUATED AVIAN REOVIRUS STRAINS 94826 C140 AND 97139 C140
Attenuated isolates of avian reoviruses associated viral arthritis/tenosynovitis in poultry are presented, including avian reovims strain 94826 C140 deposited at the ATCC under Patent Designation PTA-126077 and progeny or derivatives thereof and avian reovims strain 96139 C140 deposited at the ATCC under Patent Designation PTA-126078 and progeny or derivatives thereof. Compositions and methods for administering the isolates or compositions as vaccines to control of reovims-induced viral arthritis/tenosynovitis in birds of the order Galliformes are also presented.
Vaccine for prevention of necrotic enteritis in poultry
In certain embodiments, the present invention provides a poultry vaccine comprising an antigenic protein comprising a PlcC protein unit that is operably linked to a peptide linker that is operably linked to a NetB protein unit, where the vaccine is effective in stimulating a protective cellular and/or humoral immune response to C. perfringens. Methods are also provided for making the vaccine and for vaccinating poultry by administering such a vaccine.
STEM CELLS FOR TRANSPLANTATION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
It is intended to provide MSCs for transplantation that have an improved post-transplantation cell survival rate and engraftment rate and are highly safe with fewer adverse reactions, and a method for conveniently producing MSCs for transplantation having a high cell survival rate and engraftment rate. As means therefor, the present invention provides a stem cell for transplantation comprising an MSC capable of overexpressing IL-10.
Immunostimulator, pharmaceutical composition, and food or beverage
Provided is an immunostimulator containing: chitosan and/or a chitosan derivative each having a weight-average molecular weight of 10k to 1000k; and an anionic surfactant, the immunostimulator being in particulate form. Also provided are a pharmaceutical composition and an alimentary product, each containing the immunostimulator as an active ingredient.
Oil-based adjuvants
The instant invention provides various formulations comprising combinations of immunostimulating oligonucleotides, polycationic carriers, sterols, saponins, quaternary amines, TLR-3 agonists, glycolipids, and MPL-A or analogs thereof in oil emulsions, use thereof in preparations of immunogenic compositions and vaccines, and use thereof in the treatment of animals.
Porcine Circovirus Type 3 (PCV3) vaccines, and production and uses thereof
The present invention relates to the use of an immunogenic composition that comprises a porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) antigen for treatment of several clinical manifestations (diseases). Preferably, the clinical manifestations are associated with a PCV3 infection.
CRYPTOSPORIDIOSIS VACCINE
The invention is based on the finding that incubating a Cryptosporidium gp40 protein with an aziridine, significantly increases its immunogenicity. When used as a vaccine, this allows a reduction of the dose, which improves economic feasibility and safety. Consequently the aziridine-treated gp40 can now be used as a safe and effective subunit-vaccine for humans or non-human-animals against Cryptosporidiosis. Specifically for new-born ruminants a vaccination by way of colostral transfer was found to be very effective in reducing clinical signs of Cryptosporidiosis, especially diarrhoea.
Hyperimmunized egg product for treatment or prevention of coronavirus infection
In one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a method for preventing or treating a coronavirus infection in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a hyperimmunized egg product obtained from an egg-producing animal, thereby preventing or treating coronavirus infection in the subject, wherein the hyperimmunized egg product comprises a therapeutically effective amount of one or more antibodies to the coronavirus. The present disclosure is also directed to hyperimmunized eggs and egg products produced by an animal that has been hyperimmunized with an antigen selected from i) a spike (S) protein, an S1 subunit protein, an S2 subunit protein, a receptor binding domain (RBD), and an immunogenic fragment thereof; ii) a nucleocapsid (N) protein, and an immunogenic fragment thereof; iii) a human ACE2 receptor protein, and an immunogenic fragment thereof; and iv) a human coronavirus selected from the group consisting of SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, HCoV-HKU1, HCoV-NL63, HCoV-OC43 and HCoV-229E. Methods of preparing the hyperimmunized eggs and egg products are also disclosed.
RECOMBINANT PROTEIN FOR NEUTERING OR SPAYING ANIMAL, AND VACCINE COMPOSITION COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a vaccine composition which is form neutering or spaying an animal and comprises a recombinant protein in which cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) are fused. More specifically, provided are: a recombinant protein for neutering or spaying an animal and for inducing antibodies against GnRH; a recombinant vector for producing the recombinant protein; a vaccine composition for neutering or spaying an animal, the vaccine composition comprising the recombinant protein; and a method for neutering or spaying an animal by using the vaccine composition. The vaccine composition according to the present invention induces antibodies against GnRH in an individual, thereby atrophying the ovaries or testes thereof. Therefore, the present invention can, at low cost, a high level of safety, and with minimal side effects, replace surgical procedures for neutering and spaying, and be beneficially used to neuter or spay an animal.
Cocktail Vaccine of Recombinant African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) Antigen and Use Thereof
The present disclosure relates to a cocktail vaccine of a recombinant African swine fever virus (ASFV) antigen and use thereof, and belongs to the field of biotechnology pharmacy. The cocktail vaccine is prepared by combination of recombinant proteins p30-modified p54, p72 epitope-N-segment amino acid sequence of pE248R, and N-terminal amino acid sequence of CD2v-C-terminal amino acid sequence of pEP153R with an adjuvant. The present disclosure provides a method for expressing and purifying the three recombinant proteins, as well as a ratio of each recombinant protein and the adjuvant for preparing the cocktail vaccine.
