An objective of the invention is to provide a solid lip cosmetic that imparts a highly lustrous finish, while also being resistant to bleeding in the finish after being applied, having excellent stability over time, and further thereto, having a pleasant sense of resilience when applied, being light to spread and providing a high sense of adhesion after application. The solid lip cosmetic according to the present invention contains (A) fatty acid polyglycerides; (B) silicic anhydride having an average particle size of 1 μm or smaller; and (C) a colorant; wherein the component (A) includes (a1) a fatty acid polyglyceride having a viscosity of 5000 mPa.Math.s or higher at 25° C., and (a2) a fatty acid polyglyceride having a viscosity lower than 5000 mPa.Math.s at 25° C.; the component (a1) content is 0.1% to 20% by mass; the mass ratio between components (a1) and (a2) satisfies (a1):(a2)=1:0.5 to 1:5; and the component (B) content is 0.25% to 4% by mass.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITING HAIR GROWTH
A method for inhibiting hair growth in mammals using compositions containing FP receptor antagonists (e.g., prostaglandin F analogs that are block activation of the FP receptor). The compositions can be applied topically to the skin and/or hair. The compositions can arrest hirsutism or hypertrichosis, reverse hirsutism and hypertrichosis, and further prevent hair growth. These compositions can also be used to protect hair from chemical or radiation-induced alopecia or hair loss. These compositions can also be used to inhibit pigmentation of the hair or skin.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A cosmetic composition including a solvent A, a solvent B, a polymer C and a colorant. The solvent A is at least one selected from the group consisting of ethanol, n-propanol and isopropanol. A boiling point of the solvent B is 150° C. or higher. The solvent B is compatible with the solvent A, and the polymer C is soluble in the solvent A and insoluble in the solvent B. A content of the solvent B is 5% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less, and a ratio by mass of a content of the solvent A to a content of the solvent B [solvent A/solvent B] in the cosmetic composition is 1 or more and 15 or less.
Colored particles
The present invention relates to color particles from an extrudate, the production thereof, color particles produced by the process and the use of the color particles for the production of foodstuffs, beverages, cosmetics, in particular oral hygiene products, pharmaceuticals and consumer articles, in particular washing and cleaning agents in liquid, gel-like or powdery form, animal food or animal care products and foods, beverages, cosmetics, in particular oral hygiene products, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, in particular detergents and cleaning agents in liquid, gel-like or powdery form, animal food or animal care products comprising the color particles.
PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITION COMPRISING A SILICON GLYCAN
A personal care composition is provided, including: a cosmetically acceptable carrier; and a silicon glycan of formula (I):
##STR00001##
wherein each A comprises an independently selected saccharide moiety; wherein each W is an independently selected beta-amino alcohol moiety; wherein each Y comprises an independently selected organosilicon moiety; wherein each R is independently selected from substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl groups, ether moieties, amine moieties, and H; wherein each R.sup.1 is independently selected from substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl groups and H; wherein each Z is an independently selected ether moiety; wherein each subscript a is independently 0 or 1; wherein subscripts x and y are each independently from ≥0 to <1; wherein subscript z is selected from >0 to 1; with the proviso that x+y+z=1; and wherein moieties indicated by subscripts x, y, and z may be in randomized or block form in the silicon glycan.
Multi-chrome cosmetic hair composition
A multi-chrome cosmetic hair composition is disclosed. The composition includes a base formula suitable for hair and an interference pigment providing a colored background exhibiting interference colors that are observable at different angles of observation. The formula is sufficient to enable a homogenous suspension of the interference pigment. The formula includes a propellant, denatured alcohol, neutralized octylacrylamide/acrylates/butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer 4, a neutralizing agent sufficient to neutralize the octylacrylamide/acrylates/butylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer 4 to a range of 80% to 100%, and a plasticizer. The interference pigment includes an opaque-type interference pigment consisting of particles ranging from 5 microns to 60 microns in size to fill in gaps on hair shaft surfaces and create a smooth, chrome-like effect on the hair. The interference pigment includes an inorganic layer that specularly reflects incident light and semi-transparent inorganic layers that refract the reflected light such that the interference colors are observable.
OILY SOLID COSMETIC
The present invention relates to an oily solid cosmetic comprising (A) candelilla wax, (B) a plant-based and/or animal based wax with a melting point of 70° C. or higher, (C) a monoester of a monovalent straight-chain saturated fatty acid and a monohydric straight-chain saturated aliphatic alcohol, having a total of 40 to 48 carbon atoms, and (D) at least one selected from the group consisting of (polyglyceryl-2 isostearate/dimer dilinoleate) copolymer, hydrogenated castor oil dimer dilinoleate, hydrogenated castor oil isostearate, phytosteryl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate, octyldodecyl stearoyl stearate, polyglyceryl-10 isostearate, polyglyceryl-10 diisostearate, polyglyceryl-10 decaisostearate, and polybutene, or 8 mass % or less of dimer dilinoleyl diisostearate and/or dimer dilinoleyl dimer dilinoleate with respect to the total amount of the oily solid cosmetic.
