PROFRAGRANCE CONJUGATES
The present invention relates to profragrance compounds and their preparation. Also disclosed are delivery systems and consumer products containing the profragrance compounds.
TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY COMPOSITE USING COVALENT ORGANIC FRAMEWORK AND POLYMER
The present invention relates to a transdermal delivery composite comprising a cyclodextrin-based covalent organic framework and polymer. In addition, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the transdermal delivery composite, and a method for preparing the transdermal delivery composite.
FUNCTIONAL SKIN COATING POLYMER
Film-forming polymers that contain covalently-attached or non-covalently bound light-filtering, e.g., UV-absorbing, compounds and their use as a skin-protectant coating, such as a sunscreen, are disclosed.
Oral care compositions
Described herein are oral care compositions comprising a crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone complexed with hydrogen peroxide, together with particular co-polymers as additional excipients; including some embodiments which further comprise a calcium abrasive.
TRANSPARENT COLORED COSMETIC INGREDIENT FOR COSMETIC PRODUCTS, POSSIBLY CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY CHANGING COLOR WHEN IRRADIATED BY ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
A cosmetic ingredient for cosmetic products has a polymer structure which includes an emollient or film-forming cosmetic polymer which is transparent to light. An organic chromophore molecule is inserted and chemically linked into the polymer, which can be a fixed color molecule or a photochromic molecule capable of rapidly switching from one color to another. The colored or photochromic molecule is inserted and chemically linked by transesterification into a cosmetic oil provided with functionalities which are suitable for the chemical anchoring of the molecule and chemically linked to said oil. The cosmetic oil may be a silicone macrodiol functionalized with a photochromic derivative designed so as to ensure the transition between a colorless state and a colored state following irradiation with ultraviolet light.
PHOTOCHEMICALLY STABLE, NON-LEACHING, BRIDGED POLYSILSESQUIOXANE BASED SUNSCREENS
Bridged polysilsesquioxane based sunscreens prepared as nanoparticles via oil/water microemulsion polymerization, sol-gel polymerizations, or a modified Stöber process. Minimized leaching and decreased levels of photo-degradation were achieved with covalent incorporation, with bridged incorporation necessary to ensure isolation of the sunscreen and any photo-products from skin. SPF values were found to be comparable to existing commercial sunscreens. Furthermore the bridged polysilsesquioxane based sunscreens can be classified as broad-spectrum, and rated from moderate to superior in terms of UVA protective ability.
Medical product comprising a bioactive molecule immobilized to nanofibrillar cellulose, and a method for preparing thereof
The present application provides a method for preparing a medical product for covering tissue, the method comprising providing nanofibrillar cellulose, providing a bioactive molecule, and covalently bonding the bioactive molecule to the nanofibrillar cellulose. The present application also provides a medical product for covering tissue comprising a bioactive molecule covalently bound to nanofibrillar cellulose.
A POLYMER AND A TOPICAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE POLYMER
The present invention relates to a polymer of formula I, a cosmetic composition comprising the polymer of formula I, a method of synthesizing the polymer of formula I; and use of the polymer of formula Ito provide a benefit in a photoresponsive way.
PALMITOYL TETRAPEPTIDE-20 CONJUGATED NANOSILVER PARTICLE AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides a nanocomposite material comprising a palmitoyl tetrapeptide-20 conjugated nanosilver particle. The nanocomposite material of the present invention has good stability and does not easily deteriorate, and it also exhibits the effects of excellent cutaneous penetration ability, reduced free radical damages, and promotion in melanin synthesis in hair, thereby restoring original hair color and thus solving the problems of premature or mid-aged hair graying.
Compositions systems and methods for conferring durable shaping of keratinous fibers
Cosmetic compositions, systems and methods for conferring responsive durable shaping of keratinous fibers employ at least one shape memory polymer that includes a three-armed branched polyethylene glycol (PEG) based polymer that is functionalized with one or more metal-coordination active groups. The shape memory polymer forms a crosslinked network coating on a substrate, for example a substrate selected from keratinous substrates, for example, hair. Hair coated with the shape memory polymer and treated with an oxidizing agent can be shaped, locked into shape, and reprogrammed by modulation of pH. The coated hair retains durable shaping properties through at least one shampoo treatment. The cosmetic compositions, systems and methods provide durable and reprogrammable durable shaping of the keratinous substrate, for example for styling hair.
