Compositions for reducing hair loss and/or increasing hair regrowth
The invention relates to a composition comprising 2% to 5% minoxidil, 0.01% to 15% of a 5α-reductase inhibitor or an androgen receptor antagonist, and 0.01% to 15% of a prostaglandin analogue. In one embodiment, the prostaglandin analogue is latanoprost. In a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises 5% minoxidil, 0.1% finasteride and 0.03% latanoprost. The invention also relates to the use of the said composition to reduce hair loss and/or increase regrowth of hair in a human subject.
Sprayable high viscosity cosmetic formulation
The invention relates to an anhydrous cosmetic or dermatological formulation comprising a viscose lipid-containing preparation and propellant gas consisting essentially of one or more substances selected from hydrofluorocarbons, n-butane, isobutane and propane. The formulation permits application to the skin by spraying of an otherwise nonsprayable preparation. The formulation is free from readily volatile solvents, surfactants, and preferably free from silicones.
Oral care composition
The present disclosure provides an oral care composition including a water-miscible base component, an amorphous calcium phosphate remineralizing component including a water-soluble or partially water-soluble calcium component and a water-soluble inorganic phosphate component, and a tartar control component, wherein the oral care composition provides enamel fluoride uptake activity and tartar control activity.
Magnolia bark extract as a hydrophobic ligand for preferential removal of gram negative bacteria from the oral cavity
The present disclosure relates generally to oral compositions and methods for freshening breath and oral cleansing, and more particularly, to oral compositions comprising a combination of an extract of magnolia and a hydrocarbon. The oral compositions are useful for improving oral health, including freshening breath and reducing the adherence of plaque to teeth.
5a-REDUCTASE INHIBITOR
A 5α-reductase inhibitor contains saw palmetto extract and seaberry extract as an active ingredient in a synergistic compounding ratio, wherein the compounding ratio by weight of the saw palmetto extract and the seaberry extract is 3:1˜2. The 5α-reductase inhibitor containing the saw palmetto extract and seaberry extract or just the seaberry extract as a 5α-reductase inhibitor can be administered to the human body in order to inhibit 5α-reductase. The 5α-reductase inhibitor is useful as a prostate enlargement inhibitor, an androgenic alopecia inhibitor, and an acne prevention and amelioration agent. The 5α-reductase inhibitor can be part of a food or drink composition or a cosmetic composition.
RESHAPING COMPOSITION FOR KERATIN FIBERS
Reshaping compositions, methods or processes, and kits-of-parts reshape keratin fibers. The reshaping composition is an aqueous non-reducing, non-oxidizing reshaping composition for keratin fibers having a pH in the range of 7 to 12 and comprises a) one or more alkalizing agents, b) one or more lipophilic compounds being liquid at 25° C. and atmospheric pressure, at a total concentration in the range of 10% to 80% by weight, calculated to the total weight of the composition, c) one or more surfactants, and d) one or more thickening agents being soluble in or mixable with the one or more lipophilic compounds according to b).
Oral care compositions
This application provides, among other things, novel aqueous monophasic compositions useful for combining and delivering poorly compatible ingredients, for example to deliver effective levels of cationic antibacterial agents in combination with anionic polymers, e.g. that protect against erosion and staining, by addition of a stabilizing amount of a polyamine, e.g. lysine, and methods for making and using the same.
Methods of increasing solubility of poorly soluble compounds and methods of making and using formulations of such compound
The subject invention relates to novel soluble forms of planar ring structured organic compounds including flavonoids, and their production. The invention also includes the use of these novel formulations of planar ring structured organic compounds in the preparation of formulations and products. The invention also relates to a wide variety of applications of the formulations of the invention. The subject invention includes novel soluble forms and various formulations of flavonoids. Further, the invention includes novel methods of manufacturing the flavonoid formulations. The invention also relates to a wide variety of applications of the flavonoid formulations.
Dermal composition comprising chelator and base
The present invention relates to non-toxic consumable compositions and formulations comprising chelator and base having synergistic effects on microbial metabolism and/or growth and/or pathogenic effectors and their use to promote and maintain health in mammals. The current invention also relates to non-toxic consumable compositions comprising more than one chelator and/or more than one base. The present invention further relates to methods for selecting said chelator and base composition and methods for detecting conditions in which selected compositions may be used. The present invention relates to the synergistic compositions and methods of their use for maintaining health, promoting health and treating diseases.
Topical cream-based cosmetic and wound healing formulations and methods of use
A cream formulation or topical use made of a mixture of naturally occurring biologically active phytochemical compounds that possess a variety of beneficial animal and human health effects. An extract from an aqueous extraction process or other active ingredients could be used in the cream formulation. The present invention generally provides for the preparation of cream formulations containing active ingredients that contain individually, or in combination, an analgesic, natural product extracts, or a protein or proteins from the tripartite motif family of proteins (TRIM). The analgesic will provide mitigation of pain during the healing process.
