SURFACE-MODIFIED ZINC OXIDE PARTICLES, LIQUID DISPERSION, AND COSMETIC
Surface-modified zinc oxide particles which have a silane coupling agent having an alkoxy group on surfaces thereof, in which d50 when measured with a laser diffraction/scattering type particle size distribution-measuring instrument by the following measurement method is 4 μm or less. (Measurement method) 10 g of the surface-modified zinc oxide particles, 88 g of cyclopentasiloxane, and 2 g of polyglyceryl-3 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone are mixed to obtain a liquid mixture, a dispersion treatment is performed on the obtained liquid mixture at 9,500 rpm for 5 minutes using a homogenizer to obtain a liquid dispersion, the liquid dispersion is diluted with cyclopentasiloxane so that a content of the surface-modified zinc oxide particles in the obtained liquid dispersion is 0.01% by mass to produce a measurement solution, and d50 is measured with the laser diffraction/scattering type particle size distribution-measuring instrument using the obtained measurement solution.
PHOTONIC STRUCTURE FOR DYNAMIC EXPRESSION OF COLORS AND EFFECTS
Photochromic formulations including a core material and a photochromic layer overlying the core material and forming a particle are provided. The photochromic layer may include a plurality of photochromic materials, including a first photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a first central wavelength from 490 nm to 520 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a first characteristic wavelength, a second photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a second central wavelength from 570 nm to 590 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a second characteristic wavelength, and a third photo-responsive pigment characterized by reversible diffuse reflectance at a third central wavelength from 450 nm to 495 nm and a fourth central wavelength from 625 nm to 740 nm in response to irradiation by photons of a third characteristic wavelength. The first, second, and third characteristic wavelengths may be different.

SURFACE-TREATED MAGNESIUM OR CALCIUM ION-CONTAINING MATERIALS AS WHITE PIGMENTS IN ORAL CARE COMPOSITIONS
The present application is related to cancer immunotherapy, e.g. stimulation of T cell mediated anti-tumor therapy. Accordingly, described herein are methods of inducing or enhancing an adaptive immune response to a cancer in a subject and methods of treating cancer in a subject. In some embodiments, the methods hyperactivate dendritic cells (DCs), which induce T helper type I (TH1) and cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses in the absence of TH2 immunity.
COMPOSITE FOR FORMING COACERVATE INTERFACIAL FILM, PICKERING EMULSION CONTAINING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Disclosed is a composite for forming a coacervate interfacial film. The composite for forming the coacervate interfacial film contains a cationic hectorite nanoplate-shaped particle structure containing a hectorite nanoplate-shaped particle and a cationic surfactant coupled to a surface of the hectorite nanoplate-shaped particle, and an anionic cellulose nanofibril containing an anionic functional group in at least a portion thereof, in which the composite may form the coacervate interfacial film at an interface of an oil phase and a water phase through electrostatic interaction between the cationic surfactant and the anionic functional group.
Agent for forming film on skin
