Disclosed are methods and compositions related to the use cannabinoids as adjuvants for the accelerated induction and production of an antibody based immune response.

NANOSTRUCTURED LIPID CARRIERS AND STABLE EMULSIONS AND USES THEREOF

Provided herein are nanostructured lipid carrier compositions, and methods of making and using thereof. The compositions comprise a nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC), where the NLC comprises an oil core comprising a mixture of a liquid phase lipid and a solid phase lipid, a cationic lipid, a sorbitan ester, and a hydrophilic surfactant, and optionally a bioactive agent. The bioactive agent can be associated with the NLC. The compositions are capable of delivery of a biomolecule to a cell for the generation of an immune response, for example, for vaccine, therapeutic, or diagnostic uses. Compositions and methods related to making the compositions and using the compositions for stimulating an immune response are also provided.

SYNERGISTIC COMPOSITIONS OF IMMUNOSTIMULATING RECONSTITUTED INFLUENZA VIROSOMES WITH IMMUNOPOTENTIATORS AND VACCINES CONTAINING THEM

The present invention is directed to a preparation of an adjuvant system to achieve required level of humoral and cellular immune response against antigen of interest. The current invention provides an adjuvant system comprising an immunostimulating reconstituted influenza virosomes (IRIVs) and immunopotentiators. The current invention illustrates that an antigen is adsorbed or incorporated into IRIVs and further formulated with lipophilic adjuvant such as MPL or glucopyranosyl lipid adjuvant (synthetic analogue of MPL).

Compositions and methods for inducing immune tolerance

Several embodiments provided in the present disclosure relate to compositions that carry an antigen to which tolerance is desired, the antigen being coupled, bound, or otherwise joined to a targeting moiety, the targeting moiety configured to direct the composition to the liver of a subject. In several embodiments, the antigen in coupled to the targeting moiety by way of a polymeric linker. In several embodiments, the polymeric linker is configured to liberate the antigen in vivo. Methods of using the compositions to reduce and/or prevent unwanted immune responses against an antigen of interest are also provided.

Hemoglobin receptor as novel vaccine for leishmaniasis

The present invention in general relates Hemoglobin receptor or its part as a novel vaccine candidate against Leishmaniasis. Specifically, the present invention envisages HbR DNA for eliciting immune response in a mammal against Leishmaniasis. Additional aspect of the present invention is related to a vaccine composition for inducing immune response against Leishmaniasis in mammals. In a preferred aspect, the present invention relates to use of HbR-polypeptide as marker for diagnosis of Leishmania in kala-azar patients.
