A process for producing particles of at least one PHA, the particles having an average diameter (d50) greater than or equal to 0.1 μm and less than or equal to 100 μm, may include: atomizing an aqueous suspension of the at least one PHA by spray drying the aqueous suspension.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POWDERED SOLID COSMETIC
An objective of the invention is to provide a production method for a powdered solid cosmetic that, while having a texture similar to that in the case in which an elastic spherical powder is blended, also has excellent powder dispersibility and high impact resistance. The production method for a powdered solid cosmetic according to the present invention comprises a slurry preparation step of preparing a slurry by mixing a powder component and an oil-based component, as a binder, in a volatile solvent, wherein: the powder component includes a spherical powder, and the spherical powder contains (A) a non-elastic spherical powder having a crushing strength per particle of 30 MPa or higher; the oil-based component contains (B) a gel-type partially crosslinked organopolysiloxane polymer; the (A) non-elastic spherical powder constitutes 6% to 25% by mass of the powdered solid cosmetic; and 90% by mass or more of the spherical powder contained in the powder component is constituted by the (A) non-elastic spherical powder.
HYDROXYAPATITE-SUPPORTING POROUS SILICA PARTICLES, METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROXYAPATITE-SUPPORTING POROUS SILICA PARTICLES, AND COMPOSITION COMPRISING HYDROXYAPATITE-SUPPORTING POROUS SILICA PARTICLES
The present invention relates to a hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle, in which hydroxyapatite is supported on a surface a spherical porous silica particle and inner surfaces of pores of the spherical porous silica particle, and in which the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle has a circularity of 0.760 or larger, a method for producing the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particles, and a composition containing the hydroxyapatite-supporting porous silica particle.
SOLID COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A solid cosmetic composition including 12 to 50% by weight of a non-volatile liquid fatty phase and 40 to 85% by weight of a pulverulent phase including spherical fillers that are surface-treated with a metallic soap. Also, a process for preparing such a solid cosmetic composition and a method for making up the skin or lips using such a solid cosmetic composition.
INORGANIC SUNSCREEN ACTIVE AGENTS IN COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Inorganic sunscreen active agents in cosmetic compositions and methods are provided and feature micronized metal oxide inorganic particles selected from the group consisting of zinc oxide, titanium oxide, cerium oxide and mixtures thereof, the inorganic particles being coated with: (i) a poly[C8-C20 hydroxycarboxylic acid], the coated particles measured at a 10% loading in dodecane and at 1 minute elapsed time having a Zeta Potential ranging from 2 to 10 mv, particularly from 2 to 5 mv, amounts of the poly[C8-C20 hydroxycarboxylic acid] to the inorganic particles being in a relative weight ratio of 1:100 to 1:10; or alternatively (ii) an adduct of a hydroxy cinnamate and a silanol, amounts of the adduct to the inorganic particles being in a relative weight ratio of 1:200 to 1:4; or alternatively (iii) mixtures of (i) and (ii).
Organic-inorganic composite particles, manufacturing method therefor, and cosmetic
There is provided a spherical organic-inorganic composite particle having good biodegradability. The organic-inorganic composite particle according to the present invention includes 1 to 79% by weight of a silica component and 21 to 99% by weight of a biodegradable plastic. The organic-inorganic composite particle has an average particle diameter d.sub.1 of 0.5 to 25 μm, a true density of 1.03 to 2.00 g/cm.sup.3, and a sphericity of 0.80 or more. A cosmetic product including the organic-inorganic composite particle having such properties has excellent texture properties.
