The present disclosure relates to a process for obtaining and formulating functional silica particles and other materials with active ingredients/compounds for use in polymers, paints, mortars, ceramic, cement, textile, pharmaceutics, varnishes, paper, clays, cosmetics, sensors and effluents.
The present disclosure describes a functional particle for binding to a substrate comprising:
a granule comprising oxide or hydroxide of an element selected from the following list: silica, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, silver, aluminum, gold, titanium, or mixtures thereof having a size between 90 nm-500 nm;
a binder comprising silane-based compounds which binds the outer granule to the substrate;
a functional compound/active compound bound to the surface of the granule, to the binder, or to both;
wherein the functional compound is at least one of the following compounds: anti-mosquito/repellent/anti-insect, fungicide, antimicrobial/bactericide, antimycotic, anti-fire, UV protectors, larvicides, hydrophobics, vitaminics, moisturizers, cosmetics, drugs, mechanical properties, magnetic properties enhancement, or mixtures thereof.
METHOD FOR PREVENTING ADHESION OF ATMOSPHERIC TOXIC SUBSTANCE
Disclosed is a method for suppressing adhesion of air harmful substances, including applying an external preparation to skin to suppress adhesion of air pollutants to the skin, wherein the external preparation contains the following component (A) and component (B), and the ratio by mass of the content of the component (A) to the content of the component (B) in the external preparation [(A)/(B)] is 0.30 or more and 5.0 or less. Component (A): a metal oxide having an average primary particle diameter d.sub.A of 800 nm or less. Component (B): non-disintegrable particles having an average particle diameter D.sub.B of 1 μm or more and 10 μm or less.
SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION COMPRISING SURFACE-DEFECTED CERIUM OXIDE PARTICLES, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a sunscreen composition containing surface-defected cerium oxide particles and a method for preparing the sunscreen composition. The sunscreen composition containing surface-defected cerium oxide particles has excellent ability to kill bacteria, may have a high sun protection factor (SPF) and a high PA index, and may exhibit excellent dispersion stability since the layer separation thereof does not occur even after a long period of time elapses.
ULTRAVIOLET RAY-SHIELDING AGENT COMPOSITION ABSORBING RADIATION IN UVA RANGE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a sunscreen composition that absorbs light in the UVA region and a method for preparing the sunscreen composition. Light in the UVA region is light in the wavelength band that affects skin aging and penetrates to the dermis inside the skin. Hence, when the sunscreen composition is used, the sunscreen composition absorbs the light and an effect of preventing skin aging is thus obtained.
COMPOUND COMPRISING A FUNCTIONAL AGENT AND A WAXY MATRIX INCLUDING AN ORGANOSILICON MATERIAL, AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
The invention relates to a compound (1) comprising at least 50% by weight of a functional agent, characterized in that it also comprises a waxy matrix (3) having at least one organosilicon material, which organosilicon material forms the greater part by weight of said waxy matrix (3) and preferable the entirety thereof, within which said functional agent, formed by solid particles (3), is dispersed. Said compound (1) is solid at room temperature and intended to be dispersed by fluidization and/or solubilization within a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition of integrating said functional agent therein. The invention also relates to the formulation of cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions.
Nanoparticles as delivery vehicles of active ingredients and methods for the production thereof
A nanoparticle comprising a keratin polypeptide and at least one lipophilic active ingredient, wherein the at least one lipophilic active ingredient is non-covalently bound to the keratin polypeptide and can be e.g. a therapeutic or diagnostic agent, a nutraceutical, a cosmetic ingredients, a dye or a cosmeceutical, the keratin polypeptide being water-soluble; optionally, the nanoparticle further comprises at least one hydrophilic active ingredient non-covalently bound to the keratin polypeptide, which can be e.g. a therapeutic or diagnostic agent, a nutraceutical, a cosmetic ingredients, a dye or a cosmeceutical.
HAIR CARE OR HAIR CLEANSING COMPOSITION OR SKIN CARE OR SKIN CLEANSING COMPOSITION
Disclosed are hair care and hair cleansing compositions as well as skin care and skin cleansing compositions comprising a fibrous material of natural origin and obtained from plants. The fibrous material comprises micro-scaled and/or nano-scaled fibril agglomerates. Such compositions show pleasant skin feel and comfort during and after application, as well as fast drying and fast absorption into skin. The compositions obtained are also particularly well suited for the topical delivery of cosmetic and pharmaceutical active substances into skin. Additionally, a method to obtain said hair care or hair cleansing composition or said skin care or skin cleansing composition is disclosed.
ULTRAVIOLET SHIELDING AGENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING CERIUM OXIDE PARTICLES HAVING SURFACE MODIFIED WITH POLYHYDROXYSTEARIC ACID
Disclosed are a sunscreen composition containing cerium oxide (CeO.sub.2) particles having surfaces modified with polyhydroxystearic acid and a method for preparing the sunscreen composition. The sunscreen composition containing cerium oxide (CeO.sub.2) particles having surfaces modified with polyhydroxystearic acid exhibits excellent dispersion stability even after a long period of time elapses.
NOVEL ENCAPSULATED COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Embodiments herein provide a cosmetic or dermatologic composition comprising a plurality of multiparticulated particles, wherein the multiparticulated particles comprise a plurality of coated active ingredient particles, each coated particle comprising at least one active ingredient having a core and a coating thereon. The multiparticulated particles further comprise a plurality of uncoated active ingredient particles, the uncoated particles comprising at least one active ingredient having a core.
