Ultraviolet radiation sun protective compositions are reported which feature micronized metal oxide inorganic particles selected from zinc oxide, titanium oxide and mixtures thereof, the inorganic particles being coated with poly[C.sub.8-C.sub.20 hydroxycarboxylic acid], the coated particles measured at a 10% loading in dodecane and 1 minute elapsed time having a Zeta Potential ranging from 2 to 10 mv, amounts of the poly[C.sub.8-C.sub.20 hydroxycarboxylic acid] to the inorganic particles being in a relative weight ratio of 1:100 to 1:10.

The present invention relates to a composition in the form of a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion comprising an oily phase and an aqueous phase, comprising: (a) at least one oil; (b) at least one organic lipophilic gelling agent; (c) at least one pigment coated with isopropyl titanium triisostearate; and (d) water; wherein the amount of the (b) lipophilic gelling agent is greater than 0% by weight and less than 5% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition, and the amount of the aqueous phase is at least 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition.

A skin tightening composition including about 2 to about 35 wt. % of at least one thickener selected from polyamide-8, styrene ethylene/propylene copolymer, nylon-611/dimethicone crosspolymer, VP/EICOSENE copolymer, fumed silicas, hydrophobically modified silica, silica silylate, clays and a combination thereof; about 1.5 to about 13 wt. % of at least one filler; about 5 to about 45 wt. % of at least one hydrophobic film former; and about 20 to about 85 wt. % of at least one volatile hydrocarbon, wherein a weight ratio of the at least one hydrophobic film former c) to the at least one thickener a) is 1:2 to 8:1 (hydrophobic film former c):thickener a)), and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the skin tightening composition.

The present invention provides a salicylic acid aqueous solution comprising salicylic acid, tromethamine as a dissolution-enhancing agent to enhance dissolution of salicylic acid, and water for dissolving salicylic acid.

This water-in-oil emulsion-type stick-shaped deodorant composition contains: (A) a volatile component having a boiling point of 250° C. or less, where the total amount of water and ethanol in the (A) component is 83-100 mass %; (B) component (B-1), component (B-2), or a combination of components (B-1) and (B-2), wherein component (B-1) is an antiperspirant and component (B-2) is a fungicide; (C) a crosslinked silicone surfactant; (D) a non-crosslinked silicone surfactant; and (E) an oily component which has a solid phase at 25° C.

A method for reducing muscle contraction of a facial muscle or reducing the appearance of a fine line or wrinkle is disclosed. The method can include topical application of a composition to facial skin and/or to the fine line or wrinkle. The composition can include an effective amount of Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract, an effective amount of Lavendula stoechas extract, and an effective amount of Acmella oleracea extract. Topical application of the composition to facial skin can reduce muscle contraction of the facial muscle. Topical application of the composition to the fine line or wrinkle can reduce the appearance of the fine line or wrinkle.

A mascara packaging set includes a container with a wiper having an aperture and a mascara composition stored within the container. The mascara composition includes a wax emulsion, at least one polymer, and fibers and has a viscosity in a range of 10,000 cps to 20,000 cps. At least one of the bristles is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a hardness in the range of 32 shore D to 38 shore D. The bristles form rows along the core in an axial direction, wherein rows of a first pair of adjacent rows are spaced farther apart from each other in a circumferential direction than a second pair of adjacent rows. The first pair of adjacent rows define a reservoir.

Nanoemulsions and a method for making the same are described. The nanoemulsions comprise a skin benefit agent in the water phase and they are made from two macroemulsions that have non-identical pH values.

A low-viscosity water-in-oil cosmetic emulsion preparation gives a smooth use feeling, lightly spreads when applied, and has excellent dispersed-powder stability. The cosmetic emulsion preparation has (A) a polar oil which is liquid at 25° C. and has an IOB value exceeding 0.1, (B) a hydrocarbon oil, (C) a polyoxyalkylene; and alkyl-modified organopolysiloxane represented by general formula (I), and (D) a powder surface-treated with both an N-acylamino acid and methylpolysiloxane.
