Antimicrobial personal cleansing compositions
The invention provides an antimicrobial personal cleansing composition comprising: (i) an aqueous continuous phase including one or more anionic cleansing surfactants; (ii) a dispersed phase including dispersed particles of zinc pyrithione (ZPT); (iii) a structuring polymer for the aqueous continuous phase which is selected from crosslinked alkali-swellable acrylic emulsion (ASE) polymers; and (iv) from 3 to 20 wt % niacinamide based on the total weight of the composition, wherein the structuring polymer is selected from crosslinked copolymers of (meth)acrylic acid with one or more C1 to C5 alkyl esters of (meth)acrylic acid.
COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING METALLIC COMPOUNDS FOR PROLONGED DISINFECTION OF SURFACES AND THEIR USES
The present invention is related to the field of liquid disinfectant formulas, specifically with obtaining disinfectant compositions applicable to hard and smooth surfaces, porous surfaces and for human use; particularly with disinfectant compositions that allow the surface or surfaces where it is applied, a disinfection with a prolonged effect, for periods greater than 24 hours. More particularly with the use of long-lasting disinfectant compounds, some of them approved by international agencies such as the EPA, and which are also approved by the FDA for cosmetic use due to their low or null toxicity. More particularly, the present invention relates to the formulation of said compositions.
Hair care composition
This invention relates to a hair care composition more particularly to a wash-off composition, especially preferred being a shampoo or a conditioner, which provides the desired anti-dandruff efficacy with enhanced stability of the active materials on hair/scalp during use. This is achieved through a judicious combination of an organic UV filter, a zinc compound and selective anti-dandruff agent. The composition comprises 0.01 to 3% by weight zinc pyrithione, an organic UV filter and 0.1 to 5% by weight additional zinc compound. The weight ratio of zinc compound to zinc pyrithione is over 3:1.

Enhanced stability of zinc pyrithione in oxidative environments, such as scalp sebaceous fluid
The present invention discloses a personal care composition comprising: (a) A polyvalent metal salt of pyrithione; (b) A metal complex selected from the group consisting of: ##STR00001## wherein Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2, Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2 are selected from the following groups: —NH.sub.2, —NHR.sub.11, —NR.sub.12R.sub.12, —NHCO—R.sub.20, —SH, —OR.sub.13, —O(C═O)—, phosphate. and wherein at least one of Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 of compound I is —SH, and wherein at least one of Y.sub.2 and Z.sub.2 of compound II is —SH R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8, R.sub.9, R.sub.10, can independently be H, alkyl, substituted alkyl, phenyl, aryl; R.sub.14 is —NH.sub.2, —NHCO—CH.sub.3, —NHR.sub.17, or —NR.sub.18R.sub.18 R.sub.15 is —COOH, —COOR.sub.19 R.sub.11, R.sub.12, R.sub.13 R.sub.16, R.sub.17, R.sub.18, R.sub.19 can be independently be alkyl, substituted alkyl, phenyl, aryl. and wherein the metal of the complex is selected from the group consisting of zinc, copper, and iron.
PROCESS FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF COMPOUNDS WHICH ABSORB ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION IN FLOW CONDITIONS AND FORMULATIONS COMPRISING SAME
The present invention generally relates to a chemical process under flow conditions for manufacturing compounds which absorb ultraviolet (UV) radiation and protect biological materials as well as non-biological materials from damaging exposure to UV radiation. The present invention further includes formulations and compositions comprising such compounds for use in absorbing UV radiation, as well as methods for protecting biological materials as well as non-biological materials from damaging exposure to UV radiation.
METHOD OF TREATING THE SCALP
A method of strengthening the skin barrier by application of a composition comprising at least one mRNA biomarker and/ or mRNA biomarker group enhancement compound in which the mRNA biomarker/mRNA biomarker group is involved in comified envelope formation.
AMPHIPHILIC SUSPENSION AND STABILITY AGENT FOR ANTIDANDRUFF HAIR CARE COMPOSITIONS
A hair care composition comprising: i) at least one crosslinked nonionic amphiphilic suspending polymer; ii) at least one anionic surfactant; iii) at least one particulate antidandruff agent; and iv) water. The suspending polymer is a pH independent nonionic, amphiphilic emulsion polymer that is crosslinked with an amphiphilic crosslinking agent and effectively suspends water insoluble particulate antidandruff agents.
