Systems and methods for in-situ, bottom-up tissue generation
Embodiments of the present disclosure encompass systems and methods for in-situ/in vivo, bottom-up tissue generation for wound repair, repair of tissue defects, and the like. Embodiments of the systems of the present disclosure include modular scaffolds seeded with cells (modular tissue forming units (MTFUs)) for packing a tissue defect, such that these MTFUs are able to fill the wound bed with cells of one or more needed tissue types supported by the modular scaffolding particles.
Traditional Chinese medicine composition and preparation method and application thereof
A traditional Chinese medicine composition, made from cassia twig, poria, Cortex moutan, Radix paeoniae alba, peach kernel in equal proportions. The traditional Chinese medicine composition comprises paeoniflorin, amygdalin, benzoylpaeoniflorin, cinnamic acid, paeonol, and cinnamaldehyde. The composition has the advantages of high production efficiency, high content of effective ingredients, high transfer rate of poria acid, reduced hygroscopicity, and improved dissolution of index ingredients.
Pharmaceutical or food supplement preparation based on alpha-lactalbumin
Pharmaceutical or food supplement preparation including alpha-lactalbumin and at least one short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) or a precursor or derivative thereof for use in the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system; the SCFA or its precursor or derivative may be contained in at least one first dosage unit together with a carrier acceptable from the pharmaceutical or food standpoint and the alpha-lactalbumin in at least one second dosage unit together with a carrier acceptable from the pharmaceutical or food standpoint, and said dosage units may be distinct units intended for simultaneous or separate administration or the preparation may consist of a pharmaceutical or food supplement composition comprising the at least one short-chain fatty acid or a precursor or derivative thereof and alpha-lactalbumin together with a carrier acceptable from the pharmaceutical or food standpoint.
MODIFIED RELEASE FORMULATIONS CONTAINING DRUG-ION EXCHANGE RESIN COMPLEXES
A particulate, modified release barrier coated drug-cation exchange resin complex comprising a core composed of a drug complexed with a pharmaceutically acceptable ion-exchange resin is provided. Methods of making and products containing this coated complex are described.
HOMOGENOUS CANNABIS COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are new cannabis compositions. In one embodiment, these new cannabis compositions are beverages, such as tea. In one embodiment, these new cannabis compositions are dehydrated beverages, such as powders or crystalline forms, which can be mixed with other components, like tea, and added to water.
COMPOSITIONS FOR SUPPLEMENTING PRODUCTS WITH THERAPEUTIC AGENTS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Some embodiments pertain to nanoparticle-based compositions and their use in methods for the delivery of therapeutic ingredients to subjects. In some embodiments, the compositions are stable for prolonged periods of time and provide enhanced bioavailability.
NANOFORMULATION WITH DIVERSE FUNCTIONAL MOLECULES FROM TURMERIC AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF THE SAME
The present invention relates to a nanoparticle or nanoformulation comprising two or more bioactive phytochemicals from turmeric. The nanoparticle or nanoformulation preferably comprises curcumin or curcuminoids and water-soluble peptides comprising turmerin. The waster-soluble peptides comprising turmerin are preferably present in a water-soluble extract of turmeric which comprises turmerin. Methods for producing the nanoparticle or nanoformulation are also disclosed.
STABILIZED FORMULATIONS OF 4-AMINO-3-SUBSTITUTED BUTANOIC ACID DERIVATIVES
Pharmaceutical compositions including an active ingredient and a stabilizer, as well as methods of manufacture of the compositions, and methods of their use. The composition may include the active ingredient dispersed throughout a matrix of the stabilizer. In some embodiments, the active ingredient and the stabilizer are intimately mixed in a matrix formulation. In some embodiments, the active ingredient is selected from 4 amino-3-(4-chlorophenyl)butanoic acid) (“baclofen”) and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts.
Composition having improved flowabilty and methods for making and using the composition
Disclosed compositions comprise a therapeutic agent and a carrier selected, or processed to have, an acceptable composite flow index, a granular particle size of 18 mesh to 80 mesh, or both, such as processed granular wheat middlings. The composition may also comprise an oil and/or micro tracers. Suitable granular wheat middlings may have a size range of from 18 mesh to 80 mesh, such as 20 mesh to 80 mesh. The composition has improved flowability characteristics, compared to a composition where the carrier, such as processed wheat middlings, are powdered and/or flakey. Certain embodiments concern a composition comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of, nicarbazin, granular wheat middlings, soybean oil and micro tracers. The composition may be administered to an animal, for example, to treat or prevent coccidiosis. Also disclosed herein are methods for making and using the composition.
Method and Composition for Increasing Muscle Protein Synthesis
A method and composition for increasing muscle protein synthesis in mammals is disclosed. In one embodiment, the mammals are administered a protein building composition comprising at an amino acid component including L-carnitine and a nitrogenous organic acid including creatine. In a particular embodiment, the creatine is in a solution with L-carnitine. The ratio of L-carnitine to creatine can be from about 10:1 to about 1:1. The protein building z composition can be administered in a monolithic enteric capsule.
