Disclosed is an external wound dressing formed of a bioprotein scaffolding that may include a pressure-sensitive adhesive impregnated in the bioprotein scaffolding. A method of wound treatment can include adhering an external wound dressing formed of a bioprotein scaffolding to an external injury site. Another method can include applying an adhesive to the skin of a patient, placing an external wound dressing formed of a bioprotein scaffolding over an injury site on the skin of the patient, and applying a sealing adhesive on top of the bioprotein scaffolding. Yet another method can include applying an adhesive to the skin of a patient, placing an external wound dressing formed of a bioprotein scaffolding over an injury site on the skin of the patient that has not been stitched, and applying a sealing adhesive on top of the bioprotein scaffolding.

Absorbent article with tackifier-free adhesive

A method of assembling an absorbent article having the steps of: a) providing a hot melt adhesive composition, wherein the adhesive has an amorphous polyolefin composition with more than 40% 1-butene and from about 10 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a second amorphous polymer, and wherein the hot melt adhesive composition comprises less than 5% of a tackifier; b) providing a plurality of absorbent article components; and c) joining at least one of the absorbent article components to another of the absorbent article components using the adhesive so as to assemble the absorbent article.

Multifunctional formulation comprised of natural ingredients and method of preparation/manufacturing thereof

This invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of compromised tissue such as skin wounds and ulcers in humans and animals and a method of preparation. This is a multifunctional natural matrix meant for the treatment of compromised tissues which also relates to the anti-cancer transdermal patch for melanoma therapy. Further, the invention comprises for the treatment of Alzheimer's, and multiple sclerosis also. The composition consists of water-solubilized nano-sized formulation of non-aqueous solvent extract of phyto-pharmaceuticals in herbal, animal or synthetic biocompatible gel or on matrix coated or both. The composition is used as a topical device for the treatment of compromised tissues in its preferred embodiment.

Packaging adhesives comprising low volatile tackifier compositions

A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.

Gel sheet

The present invention is intended to provide a gel sheet having a formulation providing an adhesive force on the skin side suitable for the skin (i.e., a gel having a low adhesive force and being able to withstand a tip pressure of a terminal and the like), and concurrently having a sufficient adhesive force against an electrode element on the side opposite to the skin side. The present invention is a gel sheet having a laminated structure of a layer A and a layer B, characterized in that the storage elastic modulus of the layer A at 23° C. and 10 Hz is 12,000 to 40,000 Pa, and the storage elastic modulus of the layer B at 23° C. and 10 Hz is 2,000 to 10,000 Pa.
