The use of powdered or gelled hypochlorous acid (HOCI) in the treatment or prevention of viral and bacterial infection is disclosed.
KIT FOR CHLORINE DIOXIDE FUMIGATION
The present invention relates to a kit for chlorine dioxide fumigation, a method for manufacturing same, and a method for using same. When the kit of the present invention is used, a high concentration of chlorine dioxide can be generated within a short time period without combustion and explosion. In addition, the kit is conveniently produced and packed as compared to existing disinfection kits, is easy to use, and produces a large amount of chlorine dioxide gas which is safer and has high purity, and thus can be effectively used in space disinfection.
ODOR CONTROL SYSTEM FOR LANDFILLS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
An odor control system for landfills includes a vapor device configured to generate an odor neutralizing chemical mixture, and at least one fan directed at a working face of a landfill. The at least one fan includes a fan housing having an inlet opening and a discharge opening connected by a passageway therethrough, a blade assembly positioned within the passageway of the fan housing and configured to rotate to generate an airflow from the discharge opening in a first direction, and a motor coupled to the blade assembly. The system includes at least one nozzle in fluid communication with the vapor device and proximate the discharge opening. The at least one nozzle is configured to disperse an odor neutralizing chemical vapor in the same first direction of the airflow from the discharge opening.
HYDRATION AND SANITIZATION SYSTEM FOR AN INDOOR GARDENING APPLIANCE
An indoor gardening appliance includes a grow module positioned within a grow chamber for receiving one or more plant pods. The indoor gardening system includes a hydration and sanitization system that includes a water supply for providing a flow of water into a mixing tank that is periodically discharged through a discharge nozzle to hydrate and provide nutrients to plants. A sanitization assembly includes an electrolytic hypochlorous acid generator that is fluidly coupled to the mixing tank for selectively generating hypochlorous acid that helps sanitize plants within the grow chamber.
Method and apparatus for sterilizing sterilization filter unit
To sterilize a sterilization filter unit with heated steam, minimize the heat load on the sterilization filter unit and extend the service life of the sterilization filter unit. Heated steam is supplied to a sterilization filter unit that sterilizes supplied air, the temperature of the heated steam discharged from the sterilization filter unit is measured at predetermined time intervals, the F value is calculated from the measured temperature, and sterilization of the sterilization filter unit is ended when the F value reaches a target value.
Information processing apparatus and method for controlling information processing apparatus
An apparatus includes a notification unit configured to notify a user of information, and a controller configured to identify at least one unit based on an operation performed by the user among a plurality of units included in the apparatus, wherein the notification unit can notify the user of first information indicating the identified at least one unit and second information regarding disinfection of the identified at least one unit.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR DISINFECTING AIR AND/OR SURFACES
To provide a method for disinfecting air and surfaces which provides a continuous protection of people and/or animals from pathogens a given volume, in particular for essentially 24 hours a day, and which can be conducted with people and animals present, a method for disinfecting air and surfaces is proposed, wherein a disinfectant is dispersed into a volume to be disinfected, wherein the disinfectant comprises electrolyzed and/or sterilized water containing hypochlorous acid, and wherein a dispersion rate of the disinfectant is adjusted such, that a concentration of the hypochlorous acid in the volume is continuously between 0.05 mg/m.sup.3 and 10.0 mg/m.sup.3.
SYNERGISTIC CLEANING DISINFECTANT SOLUTION WITH ENHANCED STABILITY, AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A method of cleaning and disinfecting a surface comprises producing a diluted cleaning disinfectant solution from a concentrated cleaning disinfectant solution, and contacting the surface with the diluted solution. A concentrated cleaning disinfectant solution is stable at freezing temperatures and comprises antimicrobial acid, surface cleaning acid, solubilizing agent, hydrotrope, and surfactant. The antimicrobial acid comprises a synergistic combination of (i) salicylic acid, derivative of salicylic acid, or a combination thereof, and (ii) gluconic acid, derivative of salicylic acid, or a combination thereof. The surface cleaning acid comprises at least one acid selected from mineral acid, methane sulfonic acid, formic acid, or sulfonic acid having an alkyl group with no greater than three carbon atoms. The surfactant selected from anionic surfactant, non-ionic surfactant, or a mixture thereof.
Infectious Agent Air Treatment System, Apparatus, and Method
An infectious agent attenuating or inactivating personal protective equipment device, such as a surgical mask, multilayer mask or respirator having at least one porous filtering layer impregnated with an infectious agent attenuating or inactivating solution that tries to leave behind an infectious agent attenuating or inactivating attenuator composed of an organic acid that preferably is a citric acid, a humectant that preferably is a gelling humectant that preferably is sorbitol which produces or forms a self activating or self replenishing infectious agent attenuator gel and infectious agent attenuating and inactivating air treatment media having a pH of no greater than 5, preferably no greater than 4 and more preferably no greater than 3.5 which is kept moist and activated at or below the desired pH by moisture in the breath of a person wearing the mask. The solution can include a surfactant, such as preferably a rhamnolipid biosurfactant that reduces surface tension both during impregnation of the solution thereby more uniformly impregnating the solution into the at least one porous filtering layer producing an air treatment media having infectious agent attenuating gel more uniformly distributed throughout. The surfactant remains in the gel and reduces surface tension of aerosols and droplets containing viruses and bacteria entrained in the air flowing through the air treatment media contacting the infectious agent attenuating gel more rapidly and efficiently attenuating or inactivating the viruses and bacteria preferably also destroying them by lysing them.
Liquid atomization device and air cleaner using same
A liquid atomization device includes: an inlet; an outlet; and a liquid atomization chamber. The liquid atomization chamber is provided in an air passage between the inlet and the outlet. The liquid atomization chamber includes a rotary shaft, a pumping pipe, a collision wall, a reservoir, and a drain port. The rotary shaft is rotated by a rotary motor and is disposed in the vertical direction. The pumping pipe includes a lower portion having a pumping port and an upper portion fixed to the rotary shaft, and is rotated in coordination with rotation of the rotary shaft to pump up water through the pumping port and centrifugally discharge the water. The pumping pipe generates, inside the pumping pipe, a whirlpool in the water in the reservoir by the rotation, and forms, at the center of the whirlpool, a void providing communication between the pumping port and the drain port.
