COMBINATION AND METHOD FOR TREATING SUBJECT USING ALGINATE
Realized is reliable fixation of a material in a fluid state containing a monovalent metal salt of alginic acid when the material is applied to a subject. A combination of compositions comprising a first material composition containing a monovalent metal salt of alginic acid and a second material composition containing a cross-linking agent having an action of cross-linking the monovalent metal salt of alginic acid, wherein the combination is to be used in such a way as to apply the first material composition to a subject in a fluid state and contact the second material composition with the first material composition applied to the subject to gel at least a part of the first material composition, wherein the first material composition further contains a coloring component so that a formation state of a gel coat on a surface of the first material composition applied to the subject can be evaluated.
WOUND CARE COVERING
Wound care coverings include a pad comprising a pad material, a lactate-based enzyme crosslinked with the pad material by a crosslinker, and a dye that changes color when H.sub.2O.sub.2 is present. In examples, an enzyme layer comprises a pad material crosslinked with a sugar-based enzyme by a crosslinker, a sugar-containing layer comprises a sugar in a hydrogel, and a rupturable barrier is between the enzyme layer and sugar-containing layer. In examples, a first enzyme layer comprises a first pad material, a lactate-based enzyme and a dye that changes color when H.sub.2O.sub.2 is present; a second enzyme layer comprises a second pad material crosslinked with a sugar-based enzyme by a second crosslinker; a sugar-containing layer comprises a sugar in a hydrogel, where the second enzyme layer is between the sugar-containing layer and the first enzyme layer; and a rupturable barrier is between the second enzyme layer and the sugar-containing layer.
Hydrogel composition for mucosal lifting procedures within lumenal anatomical structures
An injectable medical composition includes an acrylate and a solvent. The composition has a first viscosity at temperatures below body temperature and a second viscosity at body temperature. The first viscosity is lower than the second viscosity.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THERAPEUTICS
Compositions may include a therapeutic that is released from the composition to treat any number of ailments or conditions (e.g., pain, infection, cancer, osteoporosis) or to help accelerate local tissue regeneration (e.g., growth hormone, bone morphogenic protein) or to assist with surgical or therapeutic treatment (e.g., imaging modality), or any of a combination thereof.
Chemiluminescent wetness indicator for absorbent products
Disclosed herein are fluff pulp compositions, absorbent articles comprising the fluff pulp compositions, and related methods. The fluff pulp compositions comprise a chemiluminescent system configured to produce visible light upon contact with an aqueous system. Representative absorbent articles include disposable diapers and adult incontinence products. Representative chemiluminescent systems include bioluminescent systems.
Methods and compositions for consistent intracoronary administration of a biologic
Some embodiments provided herein relate to methods, systems and kits for providing consistent intracoronary administration of a biologic to subjects having diverse coronary anatomies. In some embodiments, the biologic is an adeno-associated virus serotype 1 (AAV1) vector encoding sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum ATPase 2a (SERCA2a) protein.
CITRIC ACID COATED WOUND DRESSING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
The present disclosure relates generally to wound dressing compositions and methods of manufacturing the wound dressing compositions of the present technology. The wound dressing composition includes a mixture of a collagen and/or chitosan and oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) with a layer of citric acid disposed therein. Also disclosed herein are methods of manufacturing such wound dressing compositions as well as kits including such wound dressing compositions.
COMPOSITION FOR FORMING ARTIFICIAL SKIN, AND USAGE METHOD THEREFOR
There is provided a composition for forming an artificial skin that can shorten the cross-linking time while maintaining excellent application performance and coating performance.
A composition for forming an artificial skin of the present disclosure comprises a first agent and a second agent, wherein the first agent comprises: (a) a polymer A composed of one or more organopolysiloxanes containing at least two carbon-carbon double bonds or at least one carbon-carbon triple bond in the molecule; (b) a polymer B composed of one or more organopolysiloxanes containing at least two Si—H units in the molecule; and (c) a silicone having a viscosity of 1.5 mPa.Math.s or less at 25° C., and wherein the second agent comprises a catalyst that promotes cross-linking of the polymer A and the polymer B.
LIGHT-ACTIVATED COATING AND MATERIALS
A surgical type face mask having a substrate forming an outer layer. The outer layer being treated with a water-based polymer containing at least one photosensitizer in sufficient quantity to impart a characteristic color. In the presence of visible light, the water based polymer generates therapeutically useful quantities of singlet oxygen for treatment, by inhalation thereof, of respiratory infections and cancers.
Medical device
The disclosed medical device has high visibility on non-woven fabric having a color such as green, blue, or the like, excellent identifiability from other medical devices having colors such as green, blue, or the like, and also a high adhesion property and strength of a coating. The medical device comprises an elongated body and a resin layer covering at least a proximal portion of the elongated body. The resin layer is comprised of a first layer which includes a first fluororesin, an organic pigment and titanium oxide, and a second layer which is formed on the first layer and includes a second fluororesin.
