ANTI-HEMORRHAGING COMPOSITIONS

Composite materials made of a citrate, a calcium carbonate-containing material and an association moiety which is associated with the citrate and the calcium carbonate-containing material are provided. The composite materials are typically particulate materials (e.g., powdery materials). Compositions and articles-of-manufacturing containing and/or configured for applying the composite materials are also provided, as well as their use in inducing blood coagulation and arresting hemorrhage, including internal and/or massive hemorrhage.

SPRAYABLE STIMULI-RESPONSIVE MICRO-HYDROGELS FOR ADHESION PREVENTION AND ENHANCED TISSUE HEALING

Provided are methods, devices and compositions for reducing and/or inhibiting postsurgical tissue adhesion using a hydrogel film disposed onto a target tissue, thereby providing an adhesion barrier that remains over said target tissue for a prescribed period of time. In some embodiments, the hydrogel film is formed by the gelation of a pre-gel mixture applied onto the target tissue as a plurality of particles having an average maximum dimension, such as diameter, of at most about 500 μm. In some embodiments, the hydrogel film has a minimum storage modulus of 100 Pa. In some embodiments, the pre-gel mixture comprises an ECM digest having a collagen to carbohydrate ratio (by mass) of at least 70:1.

An aerosol spray device includes a container having first and second fluid reservoirs disposed therein that are divided from one another. The first fluid reservoir holds a first mixture including a first aerosol propellant and a first part of a silicone based topical skin adhesive that is dissolved in the first aerosol propellant. The second fluid reservoir holds a second mixture including a second aerosol propellant and a second part of the silicone based topical skin adhesive that is dissolved in the second aerosol propellant. An aerosol spray dispensing system is connected with the container, which is configured to combine the first and second mixtures to form the silicone based topical skin adhesive and dispense the silicone based topical skin adhesive from the container as an aerosol spray.

DEVICE FOR DELIVERING A FLOWABLE TISSUE DRESSING MATERIAL AND METHODS OF USE
20220347054 · 2022-11-03 ·

Devices for delivering a flowable tissue dressing material for treating a tissue site are described. The devices include a first zone including a first reactant, such as a polyol, and a second zone including a second reactant, such as a multi-isocyanate, which can be mixed together to form a flowable tissue dressing material. The device can also include a flowable tissue dressing material including a reacted polymer present in a carrier. Kits and methods including and/or using the devices are also described.

LIQUID DRESSING COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR VETERINARY USES
20230087131 · 2023-03-23 ·

Liquid dressing compositions liquid for veterinary use in the treatment or prevention of infection and/or wounds are described that comprise shellac, an anti-infective metal active and a solvent. The compositions are capable of forming a barrier when topically applied to a non-human animal subject, providing an easily applied barrier for protecting lesions and other wounds from external infective agents in a veterinary setting.

A method of promoting wound healing in a patient, the method comprising applying on a wound a biodegradable amino-acid based polymer.

AQUEOUS WOUND HEALING FORMULATION

The present invention relates to a water resistant wound cover with high comfort and good air permeability. In particular, the present invention relates to an aqueous wound healing formulation comprising a water-soluble or a water-dispersible polymeric material that does not sting when applied to a minor injury to the skin.

HEMOSTATIC AND WOUND HEALING TURMERIC-POLYMER COMPOSITE MATERIALS

A method and composite for treating a wound. A wound is sprayed with a composition that includes a volatile organic solvent, a biocompatible polymer and turmeric powder. The solvent evaporates during the spraying. The resulting composite stops bleeding instantly, can remain on the wound for prolonged periods and adheres with the wound, even under arterial pressure. The composite serves to promote wound healing and hemostasis in bleeding wounds.
