Blood treatment systems and methods
Dialysis systems comprising actuators that cooperate to perform dialysis functions and sensors that cooperate to monitor dialysis functions are disclosed. According to one aspect, such a hemodialysis system comprises a user interface model layer, a therapy layer, below the user interface model layer, and a machine layer below the therapy layer. The user interface model layer is configured to manage the state of a graphical user interface and receive inputs from a graphical user interface. The therapy layer is configured to run state machines that generate therapy commands based at least in part on the inputs from the graphical user interface. The machine layer is configured to provide commands for the actuators based on the therapy commands.
PERITONEAL DIAYLSIS SYSTEM AND CASSETTES THEREFOR
A peritoneal dialysis machine that includes a preparator as well as a cycler to form the peritoneal dialysis system. The system delivers purified water into one or more containers with different powders to create a concentrate and then moves this concentrate to a mixing bag to create the peritoneal dialysis fluid (PDF). The cycler then delivers fresh PDF to the patient and removes waste fluid via the drain outlet. A volumetric approach controls the hydraulic flow paths that introduce purified water to the powder concentrates, provide mixing of the concentrate to form the PDF and delivery of the freshly made PDF to the patient. Different configurations of hydraulic flow/pressure generators are provided in the fluid paths to provide optimization of the flow of water through the fluid system to create the correct powder concentrates and subsequent peritoneal dialysis fluid for cycling, for example being provided in a disposable cassette.
A METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR EVALUATING A CONDITION OF A WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for evaluating a condition of a water purification system (40, 110) comprising a water purification apparatus (110) arranged to output purified water through an outlet (128) and through at least one sterilizing grade filter (70a, 70b) of a line set (40) fluidly connected to the outlet (128), the method comprises: monitoring a flow rate (S1) correlated with the flow rate of the purified water flowing through the at least one sterilizing grade filter (70a, 70b); monitoring a pressure (S2) correlated with the pressure of the purified water flowing to the at least one sterilizing grade filter (70a, 70b); and evaluating (S3) a condition of the water purification system based on a relationship between the monitored flow rate and the monitored pressure.
DIALYSIS MACHINE
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a dialysis system having a disposable cartridge which includes one or more flowpaths arranged on or within the cartridge.
Easily Movable Blood Purification Systems
The document describes a system which is easy to move in order to allow travelling anywhere in the world. The document provides different potential features and embodiments such as the container support, the loading system, the shape of the housing, . . .
EASILY MOVABLE BLOOD PURIFICATION SYSTEMS
A dialysis system may include a blood circuit, a cassette, a subsystem having a processor, a sensor, and a blood pumping mechanism, a housing in which the subsystem is arranged, a movable support arranged in the housing and configured to hold the sensor and/or the blood pumping mechanism of the subsystem, a cassette holder configured to removably receive the cassette, and a loading system. The loading system may be configured to move the movable support, e.g. by an axial movement, to a first position and to a second position relatively to the housing while the cassette holder is fixedly arranged in the housing. The loading system may have an electric motor controlled by the processor, a drive assembly coupled to the electric motor, and a guiding assembly configured to cooperate with the drive assembly.

SYRINGE-BASED MANUAL EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS EMPLOYING BATCH PROCESSING
The disclosure provides a manual blood or body fluid treatment system comprising first and second reservoirs for holding a batch of blood from a patient and a filter for performing an extracorporeal treatment on blood passing therethrough by removing waste molecules and/or fluid. The first reservoir is constructed to be displaced vertically relative to the second reservoir and vice versa, such that a height difference between the first and second reservoirs causes blood or body fluid to flow between the reservoirs due to gravity.
Dialysis device and method of dialysis
The present disclosure relates to dialysis devices. In some embodiments, a dialysis device may include a disposable housing having a storage chamber in fluid communication with a dialysate flow path. Also included may be a controller, an interface capable of operably coupling the controller and the disposable housing, a fluid displacement structure, a pump configured to actuate a deformable diaphragm, and a pressure sensor to trigger the reversal of the pump. The flow path may be fluidly sealed from the controller and the interface.
DIALYSIS DEVICE AND METHOD OF DIALYSIS
A dialysis device is provided including a disposable housing having a flow path along which dialysate received from a patient is subjected to contaminant removal when in operation. The device includes a controller for controlling the operation of the disposable housing and an interface capable of operably coupling the controller and the disposable housing to enable the contaminant removal from the dialysate. The flow path is fluidly sealed from the controller and interface.
