MEDICAL FLUID DRAIN CONTAINERS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20230021968 · 2023-01-26 ·

A method includes collecting used dialysis fluid in a container and combining the dialysis fluid with an acid to lower the pH value of the used dialysis fluid.

Medical system with docking station and mobile machine

A computer-implemented medical system is provided. The system includes a docking station and a mobile machine. The system is configured to perform operations comprising: receiving, by the mobile machine and from a user, a request to transport the mobile machine to a target location to perform a medical treatment; automatically navigating the mobile machine to the target location; performing, by the mobile machine, the medical treatment on a patient; determining, by the mobile machine, that the medical treatment is completed and the mobile machine is disconnected from the patient; automatically navigating the mobile machine to a stationary docking station of the medical system; and determining that the mobile machine is connected to the docking station through one or more connectors, and in response, receiving, by the mobile machine, at least one of an electrical charge, a refill of one or more supplies, a cleaning, or a drain of waste.

System and method for opening a concentrate container and connecting the concentrate container to a blood treatment device

The present invention refers to a system and method for opening a concentrate container without the need for a human to directly handle the concentrate container and connecting the concentrate container to a blood treatment device. Aspects of the invention are directed to a container for concentrate and a blood treatment device.

Medical fluid delivery system including remote machine updating and control

A medical fluid delivery system and apparatus for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery apparatus includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor is configured to receive a disinfection input to begin a disinfection procedure and cause the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform a disinfection procedure on the dialysis fluid circuit using a disinfection fluid. The processor is also configured to, after the disinfection procedure is complete, start a disinfection timer. When a dialysis input is received before the disinfection timer reaches zero, the processor enables a dialysis treatment to be performed. When the disinfection timer reaches zero before the dialysis input is received, the processor prevents the dialysis treatment from being performed until the disinfection procedure is performed again.

Peritoneal dialysis system and methods

Described herein are systems and methods for performing peritoneal dialysis. According to one aspect, the disclosure provides a sterile interface connection for connecting a water purification system to a disposable source of dialysate concentrates. The sterile interface connection can include a chamber comprising an inlet adapted to be connected to the water purification system on a proximal end and a valve on a distal end. The sterile interface connection can also include spring-loaded needle disposed in the chamber. The spring-loaded needle can move between a retracted configuration in which the spring-loaded needle is fully retracted into the chamber and the valve is closed and sealed, and an extended configuration in which the spring-loaded needle extends through the valve into the disposable source of dialysate concentrates.

Integrated cross contamination sensors

In some embodiments, a medical system includes a dialysis machine having at least one outer surface to be disinfected at a given location, at least one disinfection sensor connected to the dialysis machine at the given location, the disinfection sensor including two or more electrode in fluid contact with the outside surface of the dialysis machine, and a conductivity sensor component in electrical contact with the two or more electrodes, the conductivity sensor component configured to send an electrical signal indicating a conductivity of a liquid on an outside surface of the dialysis machine and in contact with the two or more electrodes, a processor configured to receive the electrical signal and thereby determine a disinfection status of the given location, and a user interface configured to indicate the disinfection status of the given location.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING A CONCENTRATE CONTAINER WITH A BLOOD TREATMENT DEVICE

The present invention refers to a system and method for connecting a concentrate container with a blood treatment device with improved hygiene. Furthermore, the invention refers to a container and blood treatment device to be used in a method according to the present invention.

FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR WITH FIELD INSTALLABLE OUTER CONNECTOR HOUSING

An optical connector includes a first sub-assembly that is factory-installed to a first end of an optical fiber and a second sub-assembly that is field-installed to the first end of the optical fiber. The optical fiber and first sub-assembly can be routed through a structure (e.g., a building) prior to installation of the second sub-assembly. The second sub-assembly interlocks with the first sub-assembly to inhibit relative axial movement therebetween. Example first sub-assemblies include a ferrule, a hub, and a strain-relief sleeve that mount to an optical fiber. Example second sub-assemblies include a mounting block; and an outer connector housing forming a plug portion.

Medical device with time-controlled start function

A medical device having a time-controlled start function and a control unit, which enables user-friendly operation of the medical device, is described. The medical device has a control unit, which is equipped for automatic start-up of the medical device at a predetermined point in time and for checking on whether, after start-up of the medical device, a predetermined event has occurred, and has a display screen for display of information when the check reveals that the event has not occurred. Furthermore, a corresponding process for user-friendly operation is described.
