A system including the device for transferring a fluid from a surgical site is also provided.
FLOW CONTROLLABLE TYPE SUCTION AND IRRIGATION DEVICE
A flow controllable type suction and irrigation device includes: a handle having an installation space therein; a cannula provided with a conductive tube and an insulating protective tube, the conductive tube extending in a forward direction of the handle to be inserted into the abdominal cavity of a patient and being coupled to an electrode for surgery, the insulating protective tube being disposed to surround the conductive tube; and a suction supply unit provided to the handle and supplying an irrigation fluid to the cannula or suctioning blood or contaminants from the abdominal cavity of the patient through the cannula.
MEDICAL DEVICE
The present patent specification provides a medical device including an outer tube, an operation portion and a control portion. The operation portion is at least partially located in the outer tube. The control portion has a channel communicating with the outer tube along a first direction; a second end of the control portion is coupled with a first end of the outer tube so that the channel and the outer tube communicate with each other along the first direction. The control portion includes a control module including a suction control unit, a suction, a suction valve actuator and a switching unit. The suction control unit has a stopping unit and is configured to move along a second direction which is different from the first direction. The suction valve actuator is located at a side opposite the suction control unit with the channel therebetween and the suction valve actuator is configured to be activated by the suction control unit. The switching unit is configured to switch the work status of the operation portion.
VERTICAL-FLAT-ARRANGEMENT-TYPE SUCTION AND IRRIGATION DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a vertical-flat-arrangement-type suction and irrigation device which is easy to operate. The vertical-flat-arrangement-type suction and irrigation device includes a housing, a probe, and a suction and supply unit. The housing include a front chamber and a rear chamber spaced apart from each other and connected via a connection duct, a first duct connected to a front of the front chamber and extending forwards, a second duct connected to a rear of the front chamber and extending rearwards, and a third duct connected to a rear of the rear chamber and extending rearwards. The suction and supply unit includes a supply valve reciprocally moved inside the front chamber in an axial direction of the front chamber and a suction valve reciprocally moved inside the rear chamber in an axial direction of the rear chamber.
Dental valve device having a flexible tubing
A dental valve device has a valve body having a tip receiving end having a flexible tubing extending outwardly from the tip receiving end with the flexible tubing having a flexible tubing opening, a hose receiving end, a lumen formed between the flexible tubing opening and the hose receiving end, and a partial opening formed in the valve body, and a rotatable valve sealing body adapted to be inserted into the partial opening, the rotatable valve sealing body having a bore for alignment with the lumen formed between the flexible tubing opening and the hose receiving end, the bore having a tip receiving opening and a hose receiving opening.
Suction valve apparatus and method of using same
The present invention pertains to a suction valve apparatus for use in being directly connected to a surgical suction tubing and a surgical suction tip, and thus, allowing a user to stop, or shut off, a flow of suction with the use of a single hand. The present invention pertains to a thumb-activated shut-off valve apparatus for use in easily and efficiently stopping and starting a flow of suction during surgical operations. The suction valve apparatus of the present invention generally comprises a ball valve member, an O-ring, a housing member, and a handle switch member, wherein said ball valve member, said housing member, said O-ring, and said handle switch member cooperate to be able to stop or start a flow of suction from a surgical suction tube and a surgical suction tip.
DISPOSABLE THROMBECTOMY MACERATION AND ASPIRATION SYSTEM
A disposable thrombectomy maceration and aspiration system for macerating and aspirating thrombus or other obstructive material in a lumen of a vascular graft or vessel. The system includes three major components: a disposable integrated aspiration pump and fluid collection device for generating aspiration vacuum pressure and collecting macerated particulate, a disposable integrated thrombectomy and aspiration apparatus removably coupled to the device configured to macerate the thrombus with a motor powered maceration wire while including an aspiration pathway for aspirating the macerated particulate into the device, and a catheter removably coupled to the apparatus and covering a portion of the maceration wire for insertion into the patient to the thrombus site. The catheter is of sufficient size to allow the macerated particulate to be aspirated from a distal opening through the catheter and apparatus before being deposited into the fluid collection compartment of the device.
PORTABLE NEGATIVE-PRESSURE DEVICE
A portable negative-pressure device including a housing, a piston, a barrier layer and a spring means for forming a first collection chamber and a second collection chamber having a variable volume to form a pressure-reducing region is provided. In the situation of that the exudates have been stored in the first collection chamber, the portable negative-pressure device can still maintain a sufficient negative pressure by continuously compressing the piston, and the second collection chamber will provide an additional liquid storage space.
FILTRATION DEVICE FOR CENTRAL VACUUM SYSTEM
A filtration system for use in connection with a central vacuum system in a hospital or other medical facility. In certain aspects, the filtration system comprises a removable filter for removing contaminants; a fitting adapted for connection to a central vacuum source/system which provides constant suction, which fitting is positioned between the filter and the central vacuum source; a flow control valve positioned between the filter and the fitting; wherein the relative positions of the fitting, flow valve and filter prevent contaminants from being discharged into the central vacuum system. In other aspects, the system provides variable filter life based upon variable flow.
