Bone Fragment Collector And Processor

A device for collecting bone fragments includes a housing (512) and a filter element (522) disposed in the housing. The filter element has a first end (524), a second end (526), and a sidewall (528) that defines an inner peripheral (530) and outer peripheral (532) surface and includes a plurality of filter apertures (534). The inner peripheral surface at least partially defines a collection chamber (536) for collection of a composition comprising bone fragments. The outer peripheral surface of the sidewall and the housing are spaced apart from one another to define an exterior radial volume (540). The filter element also has a proximal portion (535) adjacent the second end (526) which defines at least one drain aperture (555). The composition is acquired and collected in the collection chamber with the exterior radial volume providing a primary fluid communication path with a vacuum source and the at least one drain aperture providing a supplementary fluid communication path with the vacuum source.

SYSTEM FOR TREATING EMBOLISM AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS

Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, positioning a distal portion of a catheter proximate to the clot material within the blood vessel. The method can further include coupling a pressure source to the catheter via a tubing subsystem including a valve or other fluid control device and, while the valve is closed, activating the pressure source to charge a vacuum. The valve can then be opened to apply the vacuum to the catheter to thereby aspirate at least a portion of the clot material from the blood vessel and into the catheter.

Manifold and Tray for Collecting a Tissue Sample
20220409191 · 2022-12-29 · ·

A tray and a manifold for collecting a tissue sample under influence of a vacuum. The manifold includes a sleeve, and the tray includes a sealing member configured to be removably positioned in sealing engagement with the opening. A basket defining a tissue collecting cavity, and a base portion includes at least one rib disposed within said tissue collecting cavity. The rib(s) define pockets arranged in series in the proximal-to-distal direction so as to provide low pressure regions when the tray is being removed from the sleeve. The rib(s) may be transverse to a longitudinal axis, and/or arcuate in a shape complimentary to the base portion. The base portion defines porous features that may be arranged in groupings A sealing edge in sealing engagement with an upper barrier of the sleeve may delay an onset of airflow entering the tissue collecting cavity.

Manifold For Medical Waste Collection System

A manifold configured to be inserted into a receiver of a medical waste collection system for filtering medical waste, including fluid, received under the influence of a vacuum provided by the medical waste collection system. The manifold includes a housing defining a manifold volume and an outlet opening near an upper aspect of the housing. The manifold further includes a filter element and a baffle wall disposed within the manifold volume. The baffle wall is arranged to define a sump region of the manifold volume, which is positioned below a lowermost aspect of the outlet opening such that fluid in the suction path is pulled from below the outlet opening, thereby reducing a level of fluid retained within the manifold when the manifold is removed from the receiver.

Shear resistant wound dressing for use in vacuum wound therapy

A cover layer for a vacuum wound therapy dressing includes a backing layer formed from a flexible polymeric membrane and an adhesive layer for affixing the backing layer over a wound bed to provide a substantially fluid-tight seal around a perimeter of the wound bed. The cover layer is reinforced with a reinforcement layer extending to a peripheral region of the backing layer to distribute forces associated with evacuating a reservoir, as defined by or within the cover, to stimulate healing of the wound bed.

ADIPOSE TISSUE PARTICLE PROCESSING, TRANSFER AND STORAGE SYSTEM

A method and system for processing an adipose tissue material sample to create and collect fat aspirate particles having particle diameters less than or equal to a selected size are disclosed. A filter screen assembly having an interface part, a closed end opposite to the interface part, and a screen portion therebetween is inserted through a first port in a lid of a container, with the interface part providing access to an interior of the container for insertion of a transfer cannula connected to a syringe filled with the adipose tissue material. The screen portion includes a plurality of apertures having diameters of the selected size. Adipose tissue material is expelled from the transfer cannula through the apertures of the filter screen assembly into the container to create and collect the fat aspirate particles having particle diameters less than or equal to the selected size.
