Valved spacer for inhalation device
An aerosol inhalation spacer for use with a metered-dose inhaler canister is disclosed. The spacer includes a transparent chamber housing having a body with an input end and an output end and defining an interior space. A mouthpiece is connected to the output end of the chamber housing. An inhaler adapter is connected to the input end of the chamber housing. A valve member is disposed between the mouthpiece and the output end of the chamber housing, the valve member includes a one-way inhalation valve and a one-way exhalation valve. A flow indicator is connected to the inhaler adapter and extends into the interior space of the chamber housing for indicating an inhalation flow rate to the user.
Essential oil diffusion mechanism and aromatherapy device
An essential oil diffusion mechanism, including: a housing having an accommodation chamber; and a separator that divides the accommodation chamber into an upper chamber and a lower chamber and includes a horizontal partition plate and vertical partition plates. The horizontal partition plate defines at least one interconnecting hole. An upper surface of each vertical partition plate is spaced apart from a chamber wall of the upper chamber to form an upper interconnecting aperture. Each vertical partition plate defines an interconnecting reflux hole. A lower surface of each baffling plate is spaced apart from the horizontal partition plate to form a lower interconnecting aperture. The interconnecting hole, the upper interconnecting aperture, the lower interconnecting aperture, and the air outlet are sequentially arranged in communication to form an air outlet channel. The upper interconnecting aperture, the reflux hole, and the interconnecting hole are sequentially arranged in communication to form a reflux channel.

A pacifier comprising a suction part and a housing part, wherein said suction part comprises a nipple and a shield connected to each other, wherein said suction part comprises a passageway through which a fluid can pass from outside a mouth of a user of the pacifier to inside the mouth of the user of the pacifier, and wherein said housing part comprises a housing, wherein said housing is prefilled with a drug which can pass through the passageway into the mouth of the user when the housing part is connected to said suction part and wherein said drug is a drug to be inhaled through the passageway of the suction part.
Aerosol medicament delivery adapter and system for dispensing medicament into a ventilation circuit
An aerosol medicament delivery adapter comprises a first conduit, second conduit and a diverter element. The first conduit encloses a flow path chamber and extends between an upstream first end and a downstream second end. The second conduit comprises an aerosol medicament delivery conduit that includes an upstream first end adapted to be fluidly coupled to a particle generator, and a downstream second end luidly coupled to the first conduit at a Y-junction proximate the upstream first end of the first conduit. The diverter element comprises a flow diverter chamber disposed within the first conduit or the second conduit. The cylindrical flow diverter chamber includes a transitional flow cross-section and a principal axis, extending between a first end and a second end thereof. The diverter element creates flow eddies for enhancing an entrainment of aerosol particles, delivered via the second conduit, within a pressurized gas flow along the flow path within the first conduit.
INHALER DEVICES, MEDICATION FORMULATIONS USED THEREWITH AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Exemplary dry powder inhaler devices may include a housing body having a medicine capsule recess therein, a pair of air inlets each fluidically connecting to the recess, and an outlet body coupled to the housing body. Each inlet may have a width no greater than 1.17 mm. The outlet body may have a channel fluidically connecting the recess to an opening and configured to allow a user to draw air through the opening, thereby allowing an airstream to be drawn through the air inlets, into the housing body recess where it causes the capsule to spin and eject its contents into the airstream, and through the outlet body channel and opening to deliver the substance into the user's lungs. Dry powder respirable drug blend formulations, methods of manufacturing the formulations and drug/device combinations are also provided.
Aerosol generator with obstructed air jets
An aerosol generator for an aerosol dispenser is presented where, the aerosol generator has a housing having an inlet part comprising a liquid inlet configured to guide a liquid jet (L) into the housing and an air inlet configured to guide an air flow into the housing. The housing further having an outlet part having an aerosol outlet configured to guide an aerosol (C) of liquid mixed with air out of the housing. The air inlet is configured such that at least part of the air flow entering the housing through the air inlet is obstructed at a distance from the liquid jet (L) entering the housing through the liquid inlet, thereby creating a source of turbulence in the housing to interact with droplets of the liquid jet (L) to prevent coalescence of the droplets.

An aerosol generating system for generating a respirable dry powder aerosol from a liquid solution or liquid suspension, having: a liquid aerosol generating nozzle having a nozzle input end designed to receive the liquid solution or liquid suspension, and having a nozzle heliox supply designed to receive nozzle heliox, the liquid aerosol generating nozzle further having a nozzle output end for outputting a liquid aerosol suspended in the nozzle heliox; and a cylindrical evaporation chamber having a cylindrical evaporation chamber input end that is connected to the nozzle output end and connected to a dilution heliox supply for receiving both the liquid aerosol suspended in the nozzle heliox and for receiving the dilution heliox, and the cylindrical evaporation chamber having a cylindrical evaporation chamber output end outputting a first intermediate dry powder aerosol at a first intermediate dry powder aerosol volume flow of a specific concentration.
NASAL CANNULA WITH INTEGRATED NEBULIZER
Nasal cannulas are described herein. The nasal cannula (110) includes a cannula housing (112), a reservoir (160), a nebulizer channel (154), and a gas channel (120). The cannula housing includes at least one nasal extension (116) extending from the cannula housing, wherein the at least one nasal extension is configured to be disposed within a patient's nares. The reservoir includes a reservoir volume configured to dispense a medicament. The nebulizer channel is in fluid communication with the reservoir volume and the at least one nasal extension. The gas channel is configured to direct a gas flow toward the at least one nasal extension through the nebulizer channel, drawing a portion of the medicament from the reservoir through the nebulizer channel with the gas flow toward the at least one nasal extension.
Dilution spacer and method for metered-dose inhaler
A dilution spacer for a metered-dose inhaler comprises an enclosure defining a dilution chamber. An ambient air inlet and an outlet are in fluid communication with the dilution chamber. The ambient air inlet is positioned opposite the outlet whereby suction through the outlet from outside the enclosure draws ambient air into the enclosure through the ambient air inlet to generate an airflow path from the ambient air inlet through the dilution chamber and out of the outlet. The dilution spacer may include an actuator inlet configured to securely releasably interengage a metered-dose inhaler actuator mouthpiece, or may include a receptacle having an actuator nozzle and configured to receive a metered-dose inhaler canister, A metered-dose inhaler plume entering the dilution chamber intersects the airflow path thereto and airflow along the airflow path entrains and redirects at least a portion of the metered-dose inhaler plume toward the outlet.

Provided is a system comprising at least one inhaler. Each of the at least one inhaler comprises a use determination system configured to determine at least one value of a usage parameter relating to use of the respective inhaler by a subject. The system further comprises a user interface and a processing module. The user interface is configured to enable user-inputting of an indication of a status of a respiratory disease being experienced by the subject. The processing module is configured to control the user interface to issue a prompt to input the indication based on the at least one value.
