MULTI-USE DRUG-DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug-delivery device is provided including a drug reservoir configured to contain a fluid drug, a needle cartridge comprising a plurality of needle assemblies, a drive member, a pump, one or more springs, a loading button and a dosing button. The device is configured to use work done by the user in actuating the loading button to load the one or more springs. When the user actuates the dosing button after actuating the loading button, the device is configured to (i) release the one or more loaded springs to operate the drive member to drive a needle assembly that is in operational alignment with the drive member from a retracted position to an injection position, (ii) drive the pump to pump fluid drug from the drug reservoir through the driven needle assembly, and (iii) retract the driven needle assembly from the injection position to the retracted position.
Wearable non-liquid medication injection device
The present disclosure relates to relates to medication injection devices, and in particular to systems and methods for on-demand delivery of a non-liquid medication from a wearable medication injection device. Particularly, aspects of the present invention are directed to a device that includes a housing defining a chamber, a piston disposed within the chamber, a needle disposed within the chamber on a first side of the piston, an energetic material disposed within the chamber on a second side of the piston, and a medication strip disposed within the needle. The medication strip includes an injectable substance in a non-liquid form.
Cannulas for systems and methods for delivering microdoses of medication
Devices, systems, and methods are provided herein for delivering medication (e.g., insulin) via a wearable pump having a patch-style form factor for adhesion to a user's body. The reusable pump may be coupled to a disposable cap housing a microdosing system for delivering precise, repeatable doses of medication to a cannula configured to deliver medication to a target infusion area beneath the user's outer skin layer. The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.
Drawing drug from a vial
A substance delivery device engages with a reservoir, and includes a pump that draws therapeutic substance from the reservoir into a pump chamber of the delivery device without changing the internal dimensions of the reservoir. The volume of the therapeutic substance within the pump chamber varies in response to changes in the internal dimensions of the pump chamber. An orientation sensor generates an output indicating an orientation of the delivery device with respect to gravity. Control circuitry drives the pump to: calculate a volume of the substance within the reservoir, draw the substance into the pump chamber in response to (i) the calculated volume, in combination with (ii) an output from the orientation sensor that the delivery device is in an orientation that allows the substance to be drawn from the reservoir, and deliver the substance from the pump chamber to the subject. Other applications are also described.
Medicament delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device. The medicament delivery device comprises a housing, a needle and a reservoir. The needle is configured to project from a distal end of the housing. The reservoir is disposed in the housing and has a flexible wall. The medicament delivery device further comprises a dispensing member and a biasing member. The dispensing member is disposed in the housing and the biasing member is configured to bias the dispensing member to move in an arcuate path relative to the housing such that the dispensing member moves across the flexible wall of the reservoir to dispense medicament from the reservoir when the reservoir contains medicament.
Device For Inserting A Needle
The insertion device for inserting a needle into a site having a body provided with a bearing wall for resting on the site, a needle support on which a needle is mounted, the needle support being mounted so as to be able to move relative to the bearing wall between a position before insertion, at least one insertion position, and at least one retracted position, an electric motor comprising a rotation shaft, the electric motor being intended to move the needle support in translation between the different positions of the needle support, a detection unit configured to provide a value relative to the operation of the electric motor, and an electronic unit configured to cooperate with the detection unit in order to control the depth of insertion of the needle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING DELIVERY OF MICRODOSES OF MEDICATION
Devices, systems, and methods are provided herein for delivering medication (e.g., insulin) via a wearable pump having a patch-style form factor for adhesion to a user's body. The reusable pump may be coupled to a disposable cap housing a microdosing system for delivering precise, repeatable doses of medication to a cannula configured to deliver medication to a target infusion area beneath the user's outer skin layer. The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device comprises a needle configured to move between a retracted position and an inserted position; an insertion mechanism to move the needle from the retracted position to the inserted position when activated; a locking arm which, in a locked position, is engaged with the insertion mechanism to prevent activation of the insertion mechanism and, in an unlocked position, is disengaged from the insertion mechanism; a retraction mechanism to move the needle from the inserted position to the retracted position when activated; and a trigger configured to move between a disengaged position and an engaged position. On moving from the disengaged position to the engaged position, the trigger is configured to move the locking arm from the locked position to the unlocked position. On moving from the engaged position to the disengaged position, the trigger is configured to activate the retraction mechanism.
Insertion mechanism and method of inserting a needle of a drug delivery device
An insertion mechanism for a drug delivery device. The insertion mechanism includes a proximal end, a distal end, a first opening disposed near the proximal end, and a second opening disposed in the distal end. A needle or cannula assembly is disposed within a housing and has a base with a proximal surface and a distal surface and a needle or cannula coupled to the distal surface. A retraction member is disposed within the housing to maintain the needle or cannula assembly in a retracted position before movement to an extended position, the retraction member in contact with the base. Upon supplying pressure through the first opening until an amount of pressure P1 applies an application force to the proximal surface of the base that surpasses a resistive force of the retraction member, the needle or cannula assembly is moved from the retracted position to the extended position.
Hand-held fluid transfer device and system
A disposable transfer device has an injection device support surface for receiving an on-body injection device thereon and a flow path arrangement for transfer of fluid into the injection device, the transfer device being configured to define preferential gripping areas for user gripping of an injection device when such device is located on the support surface and interfering areas for interfering with user gripping of the injection device in the interfering areas.
