PAINLESS SYRINGE TO REDUCE THE NOISE AND FRICTION GENERATED WHEN PERFORATING THE ALVEOLAR BONE
According to an embodiment, a painless syringe for reducing noise and friction caused when perforating an alveolar bone comprises an injecting part having a needle for perforating the alveolar bone and injecting an anesthetic, a holder having a first end coupled with the injecting part and a second end open and empty, an ampoule formed to be inserted into the holder and having a first end into which the needle of the injecting part is inserted and a second end having a piston for discharging the anesthetic, a housing formed to receive the holder and having a through hole to expose the first end of the holder to an outside, and a handpiece coupled with the housing, rotating the ampoule, the holder, and the injecting part to perforate the alveolar bone, and pressing the piston to inject the anesthetic.
Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.
Multiple use disposable injection pen
A medication injection pen, including a housing, a dose set knob (DSK) comprising an internal key, and a dose stop member engaging the dose set knob. Rotation of the dose set knob to set a medication dose causes rotation of the dose stop member with respect to the dose set knob, and when the dose set knob is rotated to a last dose setting position, the dose stop member rotationally abuts the internal key thereby preventing further rotational movement of the dose set knob in a dose setting direction.
Drive mechanisms suitable for use in drug delivery devices
A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.
Logging device for drug delivery device
An add-on logging device (100, 300) mounted to a drug delivery device is turned on when the cap is removed. After a given amount of time in inactivity the sensor means of the add-on device is turned off automatically to save energy. If the user takes a dose of drug this is not detected as the add-on device is only turned on when the cap is removed. According to the present invention a warning message is provided when the cap is re-mounted after the sensor means has been turned off automatically, the warning message indicating to a user that an expelled dose may not have been detected.
Drug Delivery Device with a Drive Mechanism
The present disclosure relates to a drive mechanism which is suitable for an injection device, especially a drug delivery device. The mechanism comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis defined by a compartment for receiving a cartridge, a plunger suitable for acting on a bung of a cartridge retained in the housing, a strained pressure spring arranged between the housing and the plunger, a retaining member coupled to the plunger, and a release member operable between a first state, in which the release member constrains the retaining member to the housing, and a second state, in which the release member is movable relative to the housing.
Injection pen
An injection pen, comprising a housing, a lead screw axially moveable in the housing, a dose set member for dose setting and dose correcting, threadably connected to the housing and having a first mating feature, a setback member having a second mating feature for engaging the first mating feature, a clicker that generates an audible or tactile indication during operation, the clicker being operatively connected to the dose set member, and a push button operatively connected to the setback member to cause the second mating feature to engage the first mating feature during an injection, the push button receiving the clicker, wherein the first mating feature is disengaged from the second mating feature during the dose setting and the dose correcting and engaged with the second mating feature during the injection.
ARRANGEMENT FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An arrangement for a drug delivery device is provided, the arrangement comprising: a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, a dose setting member which is rotatable relative to the housing for a dose setting operation in order to set a dose of drug to be delivered, a tracking member, and a guide track. Wherein the tracking member is operatively coupled or coupleable to the dose setting member, or wherein b) the dose setting member is a tracking member. The guide track is configured to form a guiding interface to guide and/or drive movement of the tracking member. The tracking member can be displaced towards an axial tracking member end position during the dose setting operation, wherein the distance by which the tracking member is displaced towards the axial tracking member end position depends on the size of the set dose.
SYSTEM FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure refers to a system for a drug delivery device comprising a housing and a cartridge holder which may contain a cartridge filled with a medicament. The housing and the cartridge holder comprise a coding interface for dedicating a certain cartridge to a certain housing and a bayonet type attachment interface for releasably attaching the cartridge holder to the housing by an attachment movement comprising a first stage and a second stage. The system further comprises at least one compliant spring member arranged and designed such that it is strained during the first and/or the second stage of the attachment movement at least if the housing coding element does not match the holder coding element, and wherein the compliant spring member is arranged and designed to move the cartridge holder relative to the housing in a direction contrary to the attachment movement when relaxing.
Reusable injection pens
A medicine injection pen includes a rotatable drive member and a rotary encoder associated with the drive member. The rotary encoder is configured to determine an amount of liquid medicine dispensed based on a rotational orientation of the drive member.
