MEDICAMENT INJECTOR AND INTERCHANGEABLE CARTRIDGES THEREFOR
20230019820 · 2023-01-19 · ·

The present invention relates to a medicament injector including an applicator with a cartridge-accepting receptacle, and interchangeable, pre-filled medicament-containing cartridges. Each cartridge includes a barrier member having a closed position in which access to the medicament is inhibited. The barrier member is movable from the closed position to an open position, in which the medicament is accessible via the applicator for administration, when the cartridge is inserted into the receptacle. The barrier member is moves back to the closed position when the cartridge is automatically removed from the receptacle once the medication is delivered. This allows for plurality of pre-filled medicament cartridges to be selected on demand via a need-based scenario for quick assembly with the medicament injector for use in various clinical scenarios to reduce the bulk, errors, complexity, and steps in medicament delivery while increasing the versatility, safety, and speed of medicament delivery in time critical situations.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE HAVING SHOCK ABSORBER

A drug delivery device is provided, including a housing, a drug storage container, a plunger, a plunger biasing member, a releaser, and a shock absorber. The housing defines a longitudinal axis and has an opening. The drug storage container includes a barrel, a stopper, and a delivery member, where the stopper is movably positioned within the barrel. The delivery member is positioned at a distal end of the barrel and has an insertion end configured to extend at least partially through the opening during a delivery state. The plunger is moveable toward the distal end of the drug storage container to engage the stopper and expel a drug from the drug storage container through the delivery member. The plunger biasing member is coupled with the plunger and configured to urge the plunger toward the distal end of the drug storage container. The releaser member has a first position wherein the releaser member prevents the plunger from moving into the delivery state and a second position wherein the releaser member does not prevent the plunger from moving into the delivery state. The shock absorber is configured to absorb an impact force and prevent unintended movement of the releaser member.

Auto injector with cartridge locking system

An auto injector for administering injection of a medicament from a cartridge containing the medicament, includes a housing, a cartridge receiver with a cartridge receiver compartment configured to receive a cartridge assembly including at least one cartridge retention member when the cartridge assembly is inserted through a cartridge receiver opening along a longitudinal axis in a receiving direction, an elongated ejector including an ejector support face for supporting the cartridge or the cartridge assembly and a longitudinal ejector slot extending towards the ejector support face from an ejector rest portion, wherein the elongated ejector is suspended to move along the longitudinal direction and is spring-loaded in the direction opposite of the receiving direction, and an ejector lock supported for turning at least a fraction of a revolution and maintained in a longitudinal position relative to the housing.

Syringe system and usage method of the same

A syringe system includes a syringe and a pressurization device for a syringe. The pressurization device for a syringe is configured so that the plunger advances by a forward rotation of the plunger, and the plunger retracts by a reverse rotation of the plunger. The plunger is advanceable by pressing the gasket at the time of the forward rotation and is retractable with respect to the barrel without pulling the gasket in the proximal end direction at the time of the reverse rotation.
