Multi-lumen catheter with enhanced flow features

A catheter assembly including a reinforcement structure and a catheter disposed over the reinforcement structure. The reinforcement structure includes a first outer wall reinforcement portion, a second outer wall reinforcement portion, and a septum reinforcement portion connecting the first outer wall reinforcement portion to the second outer wall reinforcement portion. The catheter includes a catheter outer wall and a catheter septum. The first outer wall reinforcement portion and the second outer wall reinforcement portion can be positioned at least partially in the catheter outer wall, and the septum reinforcement portion can be enveloped by the catheter septum. The catheter assembly can also include an outer tube disposed over the catheter and the reinforcement structure.

Indwelling luminal devices

The invention comprises an indwelling medical device which is capable of delivering a therapeutic agent evenly along the length of the indwelling portion, including the outer wall, of the device.

Apparatus and methods for assisted breathing by transvascular nerve stimulation

A catheter may include electrodes for transvascular nerve stimulation. The electrodes may be positioned within lumens of the catheter and aligned with apertures in the outer wall of the catheter. The electrodes may produce focused electrical fields for stimulation of one or more nerves. In one embodiment, the catheter may include a set of proximal electrodes and a set of distal electrodes, and the proximal electrodes may stimulate a patient's left phrenic nerve and the distal electrodes may stimulate a patient's right phrenic nerve.

ADAPTABLE WOUND DRAINAGE SYSTEM

Provided are drainage systems that may include a drainage manifold and may be suitable for draining fluid from a tissue site. The drainage manifold may include a plurality of elongate members having a moveable end that may be adapted to configure the drainage manifold to treat a uniquely shaped tissue site. The drainage manifold may be coupled to a drainage tube with a transitional connector to provide a drainage system capable of distributing reduced pressure to the tissue site to enhance the drainage of fluids.

Dual lumen extracorporeal membrane oxygenation catheter with single entry port bypassing the right heart and lungs

The invention pertains to a medical device: an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) catheter which can be used during right heart and lung failure. It pertains to a dual lumen catheter with a single port of entry which when in place bypasses the right heart and lungs while completing the veno-arterial circuit.

Method of manufacturing a balloon catheter

To provide a new balloon catheter enabling formation of, with high dimensional accuracy and excellent shape adaptability with respect to a balloon, an additional structure such as a blade and a reinforcement member to be additionally provided to the balloon. In this balloon catheter 10 provided with an expandable/contractible balloon 14 on the distal end side of a catheter 12, an additional structure 36 having a prescribed pattern is formed through electroforming or the like directly onto an inner circumferential surface 34 and/or an outer circumferential surface 82 of the balloon 14.

Apparatus and methods for delivering devices for reducing left atrial pressure

A device for regulating blood pressure between a patient's left atrium and right atrium, and apparatus for delivery the device, are provided. The delivery apparatus may include one or more latching legs, a release ring, a pull chord, and a catheter wherein the latching legs are configured to engage the device for delivery. The inventive devices may reduce left atrial pressure and left ventricular end diastolic pressure, and may increase cardiac output, increase ejection fraction, relieve pulmonary congestion, and lower pulmonary artery pressure, among other benefits. The inventive devices may be used, for example, to treat subjects having heart failure, pulmonary congestion, or myocardial infarction, among other pathologies.

Annulus plane catheter

A coaxial multilumen annulus plane catheter, including an outer pigtail catheter enclosing one or two additional lumens, each housing either a slidable shaped wire or a second pigtail catheter shaped to fit into a wide range of annulus diameters and/or depths. In embodiments, the device may include a catheter delivery handle with thumb/finger-actuated sliders that extend or retract the shaped wires and are sized to enable side-to-side or radial motion, imparting a torque to the pre-shaped wires which translates the length of the wires to enable individually controlled rotation or sweep of each wire to accommodate different annulus diameters. The delivery handle includes hemostasis controls and flush ports. In other embodiments, a handle is obviated by direct lumen axial and rotational control at a proximal end.

BALLOON CATHETER AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A balloon catheter is provided with a main tube and an air tube therein. The main tube is provided with a central lumen to allow the balloon catheter to travel across and be guided along a guidewire during insertion into a vasculature of a patient. The air tube is configured to transfer fluid, such as air, to a balloon for inflating and deflating the balloon. The air tube can be embedded within the inner and outer surfaces of the main tube. Holes are cut into the main tube and a portion of the air tube to expose the air tube to the environment outside of the main tube. The holes allow for fluid communication between the air tube and the balloon. The holes are cut or sheared at a direction that is lateral to the longitudinal direction of the catheter tube.

INTRAOPERATIVE IRRIGATION AND SUCTION
