The catheter includes a catheter outer wall and a catheter septum. The first outer wall reinforcement portion and the second outer wall reinforcement portion can be positioned at least partially in the catheter outer wall, and the septum reinforcement portion can be enveloped by the catheter septum. The catheter assembly can also include an outer tube disposed over the catheter and the reinforcement structure.

Catheter Assembly Having a Side Port Pathway and Related Methods

A catheter adapter may include a distal end, a proximal end, an inner surface extending through the distal end and the proximal end and forming a lumen, and a side port forming a side port pathway through a sidewall of the catheter adapter and in fluid communication with the lumen. The catheter assembly may include a catheter extending distally from the distal end of the catheter adapter. The catheter assembly may include a septum disposed within the lumen proximal to the side port pathway. CATHETER ASSEMBLY

A multi lumen catheter assembly. The assembly provides an expandable, low profile, fixed length sheath and catheter, with fixed infusion ports. The assembly has an expandable outer sheath that expands upon pressure activation with a fluid and the sheath allows the fluid to exit from at least one predetermined fixed location from a distal end of the catheter assembly. The catheter assembly can be used in various medical device procedures, such as a TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) procedure, or anywhere a low profile, multi lumen, infusion catheter system is desired.

Disclosed is a multi-lumen catheter having a distal end catheter tip configured to improve fluid flow into and out from the catheter tip while reducing undesired recirculation during hemodialysis treatment of a patient. A septum having a first side and a second side separates the first lumen from the second lumen. Within the beveled shape region, at least a portion of the septum first side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a first eave over the first lumen and at least a portion of the septum second side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a second eave over the second lumen.

Multi-lumen catheter with enhanced flow features

A multi-lumen catheter including an elliptical cross-sectional profile configuration that enhances fluid flow rate while minimizing the average diameter of the catheter body is disclosed. In one embodiment the catheter includes an elongate catheter tube defining a plurality of lumens. At least a portion of the longitudinal length of the catheter tube may define an elliptical cross section, in turn defined by a major axis and a minor axis. In one embodiment, a ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of the elliptical cross section is between about 1.3 and about 1.4. The catheter body can define two, three, or more lumens. In one embodiment, a dual-lumen catheter tube includes an aspect ratio of about 1.1:1, and each lumen thereof includes an inner surface defined by a plurality of radii and an hourglass-shaped septum.
