Portable enteral feeding apparatus
An enteral feeding apparatus includes a pod having an expansile pouch which defines a reservoir for enteral fluid and a gas impermeable barrier surrounding the pouch. The pod has an inlet port for delivery of enteral fluid into the pouch and an outlet port having a seal which is pierceable to release enteral fluid from the pouch for delivery to a PEG via a feeding line. The expansile pouch provides the sole force by which enteral fluid is delivered from the pouch through a regulator. The system can accommodate a range of enteral fluids with a wide range of viscosities.

Connector for a medical package containing a liquid
The invention relates to a connector for a medical package containing a liquid. The connector comprises a lower section which has a connecting piece for a container of said medical package and a passageway which is closed by a septum, as well as an upper section which is provided with a cap that covers the septum and can be broken off, said septum having, on a top side, a plurality of connections in the form of elevations, for a spike and/or for a needle.
STOMACH TUBE
The stomach tube is a transparent conduit in the form of a plastic tube which is equipped with an optical fibre with illuminating external surface. Its internal end is placed in the section of the stomach tube for insertion in the patient's stomach. An external end for connection with a light source is provided outside the stomach tube in the section of the stomach tube remaining outside the patient's body. The conduit of the stomach tube in its interior includes a first channel which is a transport channel, and a second channel in which the optical fibre is located. The stomach tube is intended for use in bariatric surgery procedures, and in particular in the sleeve gastrectomy procedure.
Enteral Feeding Tube with Polygonal Configuration
A tube received, at least in part, by a breastmilk warmer includes a first segment having a first thermal conductivity, a second segment having a second thermal conductivity different from the first thermal conductivity, and a third segment having a third thermal conductivity different from at least one of the first and second thermal conductivities. The first segment is configured to be coupled to a source of fluid. The second segment is fluidly coupled to the first segment and disposed in a labyrinthine manner within a breastmilk warmer. The third segment is fluidly coupled to the second segment and is configured to be coupled to a feeding apparatus. The tube also includes a fluid lumen extending from the first segment through the second segment and to the third segment. The fluid lumen has a uniform diameter from the first segment to the third segment.
Enteral feeding systems and methods
The present specification is directed to systems, devices, and methods of portable enteral pump systems for feeding and/or flushing an ambulatory patient. Embodiments provide an enteral pumping device that may be loaded by a patient from a front and a top side of the pumping device and is therefore more convenient to use. Further, embodiments incorporate a single rotor pump for dual-use purposes of feeding nutrients and flushing fluids to the patient. A pinch valve is placed between the parallel sides of the two tubes to cut off fluid flow when required. At least one sensor is also placed between the rotor pump and an outlet. The sensors are used to detect occlusions and the type of disposables used, among other purposes.
MULTI-TUBE ADAPTER
The invention discloses a multi-tube body adapter which is connected to a plurality of outer tubes for application to a digestive system and a respiratory system of a human body. The multi-tube body adapter includes a housing to form an accommodating space of the multi-chamber. The plurality of chambers is not in communication with each other. One end of the plurality of chambers respectively provides a connection port and the other end of the plurality of chambers is commonly connected to an extension having a plurality of openings. By connecting with the chamber, the connection port and the opening, a supply path for separately providing the supply path of the respiratory system and the digestive system can be formed.
GASTROSTOMY CATHETER, INSERTION JIG SET, INSERTION JIG AND GASTROSTOMY CATHETER SET
The gastrostomy catheter includes a shaft in which a lumen is provided, a flexible bumper which is provided at a tip of the shaft, and a wire which has elasticity and can bias the bumper in a diameter-increasing direction and restricts deformation of the bumper in a diameter-decreasing direction. At least a portion on a tip side of the wire biases the bumper in the diameter-increasing direction or restricts the deformation of the bumper in the diameter-decreasing direction by the elasticity of the wire in a state in which the wire is disposed in the bumper.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRACKING SPONTANEOUS BREATHING IN A MECHANICALLY VENTILATED PATIENT
There is provided system for monitoring spontaneous breathing of a mechanically ventilated target individual, comprising: a feeding tube for insertion into a distal end of an esophagus of the individual, sensor(s) disposed on the feeding tube at a location such that the sensor(s) is located at the distal end of the esophagus of the individual when the feeding tube is in use, wherein the sensor(s) is positioned for sensing values by contact with the tissue of the esophagus including a lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and/or tissue in proximity to the LES, and code for computing an indication of a frequency band of diaphragm movement of the individual according to an analysis of values sensed by the sensor(s), and for adjustment of parameter(s) of a mechanical ventilator for mechanically ventilating the individual, wherein the instructions for adjustment are computed while the feeding tube is in use.
