SEALING VALVE
20230052876 · 2023-02-16 ·

The present invention relates to sealing valves that can be mounted within a container wall, enabling controlled fluid flow along both inner and outer surfaces of the sealing valve in the same distal direction.

PREPARATION AND DELIVERY OF FLUIDS FOR SURGERY

The apparatus pre-treats fluid and then delivers it to a patient during surgery, for example a hyperthermic intra-peritoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) procedure. It comprises a reservoir (2) for the fluid, a reversible pump (10) and a valve assembly (22). In a recirculation mode, the pump (10) is operated in one direction to draw fluid from the reservoir (2), through the valve assembly (22) and back to the reservoir (2), while the fluid is pre-treated by heating, for example. In a fluid delivery mode, the pump (10) is operated in an opposite direction to draw fluid from the reservoir (2) and deliver the fluid through the valve assembly (22) to a port (30) from which it can be supplied to the patient. A second pump (12) may be provided for drawing fluid from the patient via a return port (48). The pumps (10,12) may be peristaltic pumps integrated with the walls of the reservoir (2).

Subcutaneous fixing system for medical devices

The present disclosure relates to a subcutaneous fixation system for fixing medical devices, in particular catheters, and keeping them in position with respect to an access point on the skin of a patient.

Umbrella check valve
11662033 · 2023-05-30 · ·

A check valve includes a housing that includes an inlet port, an outlet port, and a valve chamber. The inlet port extends from a ceiling of the valve chamber to an outer surface of the housing. The outlet port extends from a floor of the valve chamber to the outer surface of the housing. The check valve further includes a valve member supported within the chamber. The valve includes a valve head. When an upstream pressure is applied to the valve, the valve head is configured to deflect away from the ceiling of the valve chamber and unseal the inlet port. When a downstream pressure is applied to the valve, the valve head is configured to deflect away from the floor of the valve chamber and seal the inlet port such that the valve head conforms to a shape of the ceiling of the valve chamber.

CHECK VALVE WITH FLASH SEAL

Check valve assemblies for fluid flow sets and devices are provided. The check valve assembly includes an inlet body including a fluid inlet, a first seal bead and a second seal bead, and an outlet body including a fluid outlet. A seal includes inner and outer rings, wherein, in a fully sealed position of the check valve assembly, the inner ring is configured to engage with the first seal bead and the outer ring is configured to engage with the second seal bead. Fluid flow sets and methods for manufacturing check valve assemblies are also provided.

Check valve with flash seal

Check valve assemblies for fluid flow sets and devices are provided. The check valve assembly includes an inlet body including a fluid inlet, first and second seal beads, and a central channel. An outlet body includes a fluid outlet and a stem having a centering post, the centering post received by the central channel of the inlet body. A seal includes inner and outer rings, wherein the inner ring is configured to engage with the first seal bead and the outer ring is configured to engage with the second seal bead in a fully sealed position of the check valve assembly. Fluid flow sets and methods for manufacturing check valve assemblies are also provided.

A FLOW DEVICE FOR CREATING A FLOW OF BUBBLES AND A VISUALISATION DEVICE WITH A DEVICE FOR CREATING A FLOW OF BUBBLES

The invention provides a flow device for creating a flow of bubbles of a contrast medium. The device comprises a pump which is configured to provide a flow of the medium and an elongated insertion tube attached to the pump at a proximal end. The elongated insertion tube forms a flow path between the proximal end and an outlet at a distal end.

Positive expiratory pressure devices with flutter valve

A positive pressure airway device for providing resistance in an air pathway for a patient exhaling. The device includes a central tube region, a inspiratory air passageway for passing air into the central tube region when a patient breathing through the device inhales, and an expiratory air passageway for passing air out of the central tube region when a patient breathing through the device exhales, A valve in the expiratory air passageway allows air to flow out only when a patient using the device exhales with an expiratory air pressure greater than a selected pressure, and includes a stopper and a coil spring with an interior portion that is free from any structure that would inhibit the “side-to-side” movement of the spring within the housing. The stopper has a cone-shaped air-stopping surface providing a valve angle that is different from the valve-seat angle so that either laminar or oscillating flow may be obtained.

Check valve with secondary backflow seal

Check valve are disclosed having a primary seal and a secondary seal, where the primary and secondary seals resist movement of a fluid through the check valve, and the secondary seal can provide a backup seal in an instance where the check valve does not function as intended. The primary and secondary seals can be formed by first and second sealing ridges, respectively, and a valve body can be positioned within the check valve, between a valve support, the first sealing ridge, and a second sealing ridge. The valve body is configured to move relative to the first and second sealing ridges, and can have a position wherein a portion of the valve body is engaged against any of the first and second sealing ridges.
