Universal respiratory detector
A universal respiratory detector for detecting a respiratory gas. The universal respiratory detector may include a plurality of layers with a visual indicator to quickly and reversibly change color to detect a respiratory gas parameter such as carbon dioxide. The color change may be visible from both sides of the detector. In some examples, the respiratory detector may be a biocompatible and conformable sticker for mounting on a person's face or an oxygen delivery device.
Smoking device
Apparatus and methods are described for use with a portion of plant material that includes at least one active ingredient. A vaporizing unit includes a heating element configured to heat the plant material, and a sensor configured to detect an indication of airflow rate through the vaporizing unit. Control circuitry is configured to receive an indication of the airflow rate through the vaporizing unit, and, in response thereto, to determine a smoking profile that is desired by the user. The control circuitry drives the heating element to vaporize the active ingredient of the plant material by heating the plant material according to the determined smoking profile. The control circuitry dynamically updates the smoking profile in response to changes in airflow rate over the course of a smoking session. Other applications are also described.
Negative pressure wound treatment apparatuses and methods with integrated electronics
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a wound treatment apparatus with electronic components integrated within a wound dressing. In some embodiments, a wound dressing apparatus can comprise a wound dressing. The wound dressing can comprise an absorbent material, an electronics unit comprising a negative pressure source, the electronics unit integrated within the wound dressing and at least partially encapsulated by a flexible film. The flexible film can comprise a window or aperture configured to permit fluid communication between the absorbent material and the negative pressure source.
Humidification device and system
The invention relates to a non-heated humidification device comprising a wick; a chamber for holding water in contact with the wick; and a gas inlet to the chamber, wherein the chamber and wick are configured to humidify gas passing through or over the wick at ambient conditions. The device may be modular and attachable to a flow generator. The device may comprise dual gas circuits and a control system for controlling the gas flow through the gas circuits in order to control the humidity of the gas output.
Method, system and device for assisted sleep
The methods, systems and devices provided herein relate to sleep-aid. Some embodiments include a vibration source and/or a sound source. In some embodiments, the vibration source and/or sound source emit vibrations and/or sounds that stimulate a subject's vagus nerve, or another nerve, to induce sleep or relaxation in the subject.
PRINTED ELECTRONICS BREATH INDICATOR
The disclosed systems and methods provide a printed electronics breath indicator that may be directly printed or molded onto a manufactured breathing device, or separately attached to an existing breathing device. The printed electronics breath indicator may include an electroluminescent indicator, a sensor, and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive sensor data from the sensor, the sensor data including detected carbon dioxide (CO2) or oxygen (O2) levels. The processor may be further configured to determine a current breathing state of the patient based on the received sensor data. The processor may be further configured to cause the electroluminescent indicator to generate a visual representation according to the determined current breathing state of the patient. The visual representation may comprise a variable visual representation that displays one or more visual parameters that are proportional to the detected CO2 or O2 levels.
Medical device with an additively applied converter
This disclosure relates to a medical device including a hard part and a converter. The hard part has fluid paths for conducting a medical fluid through the hard part. The converter is arranged to measure a characteristic of the medical fluid while the medical fluid is present in one of the fluid paths. At least a section of the converter is applied or superimposed to the hard part by at least one additive application method.
Drug delivery device with removably attachable sensor device
The present disclosure relates to a drug delivery device for setting and injecting of a dose of an injectable medicament, the drug delivery device comprising: an elongated housing extending along a longitudinal axis and having a sidewall with at least a first aperture, at least one number sleeve rotatably supported inside the housing and comprising an outer surface, wherein a first portion of the outer surface is visible through the first aperture and wherein the number sleeve comprises a non-visible code in the region of the first portion.
Noise Reduction Box and Ventilation Therapeutic Device
Disclosed are a noise reduction box and a ventilation therapeutic device comprising the same. The noise reduction box comprises a shell (10) and a detection assembly, wherein the inside of the shell (10) defines a cavity; the shell (10) is provided with an air inlet (101) and an air outlet (102) which are in communication with the cavity; and the detection assembly is mounted on the shell (10) to detect the degree to which the inside of the cavity is dirty. The special detection assembly for detecting the degree to which the inside of the noise reduction box is dirty is mounted on the noise reduction box, so that the degree to which the inside of the noise reduction box is dirty can be clearly observed by means of the detection assembly, without it being necessary to disassemble the noise reduction box, and same is simple to operate and convenient for checking.
COLOR CHANGING AND PRESSURE SENSING CHECK VALVES
A check valve includes an upper housing defining an inlet of the check valve, and a lower housing having a seating portion and defining an outlet of the check valve. The check valve further includes a chamber interposed between and defined by the upper and lower housings for fluidly connecting the inlet and the outlet, and a flexible diaphragm mounted in the chamber. The flexible diaphragm selectively permits fluid flow in a first direction, and prevents fluid backflow in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The flexible diaphragm includes a color changing material, and when the flexible diaphragm is seated on the seating portion and bent due to force of the fluid flowing in the first direction, the flexible diaphragm exhibits a color change.
