CATHETER ASSEMBLY
An intermittent catheter assembly that has a catheter having a proximal end for insertion into the body and a distal end, a fluid collection bag arranged to receive fluid from the distal end of the catheter, wherein the fluid collection bag has an outlet valve configured to control release of fluid out of the fluid collection bag in use and the outlet valve has a valve base attached to a panel of the fluid collection bag, the valve base having a base opening for receiving a liquid output from the fluid collection bag and an outlet element configured to be laterally rotatable relative to the valve base from a closed configuration to an open configuration.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY
An intermittent catheter assembly that has a catheter having a proximal end for insertion into the body and a distal end; and a fluid collection bag arranged to receive fluid from the distal end of the catheter, wherein the fluid collection bag comprises a hand strap. The hand strap may comprise two ends, each end being attached to the fluid collection bag at substantially the same position on the fluid collection bag.
INFUSION DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
There is provided an infusion device for subcutaneous infusion of a therapeutic agent. The infusion device may comprise a cannula for insertion into a patient, and a filter disposed within the cannula, the filter comprising a filter material having a plurality of passageways extending therethrough to allow fluid flow through the filter and thereby through the cannula. The infusion device may have application in infusion pump systems such as an infusion pump for delivery of an insulin drug, the infusion pump system comprising a fluid pump and a reservoir, and an infusion set comprising the cannula and tubing for connecting the cannula to the reservoir.
PORT
A device for providing fluid access to a mammals central nervous system comprising: a fluid port allowing the fluid access; a housing comprising an extracorporeal portion and a lowermost surface to engage with the skull; and a fluid tube connected to the fluid port and extending below the housing. In various aspects: no part of the housing extends below the lowermost surface and the fluid tube bends to run along a trench in the skull; the lowermost surface comprises teeth; a septum seals the fluid port and a cap engages with the extracorporeal portion to compress the septum; and the device comprises a guide member and a connector having needles for fluid connection via the fluid port engages with the guide member, where, upon engagement of the connector and guide member, the needles adopt predetermined positions. Also provided is a method of implanting the device.
DRIVING MECHANISM AND BLOOD PUMP
Provided are a driving mechanism and a blood pump. The driving mechanism comprises a housing, a rotating shaft, a rotor, a first shaft sleeve, a second shaft sleeve, and a stopping member. The rotating shaft is rotatably mounted on the housing. The rotating shaft has a connecting end and a ball head end away from the connecting end. The connecting end is configured to be connected to an impeller. The rotor is fixedly connected to the rotating shaft. The first shaft sleeve is provided with a groove. The rotating shaft is rotatably arranged on the second shaft sleeve in a penetrating manner. The ball head end is movably arranged in the groove. The stopping member is fixedly connected to at least one of the rotating shaft and the rotor. The stopping member can abut against the second shaft sleeve.
