Systems and methods for ambulatory generation of nitric oxide

Systems and methods are provided for portable and compact nitric oxide (NO) generation that can be embedded into other therapeutic devices or used alone. In some embodiments, an ambulatory NO generation system can be comprised of a controller and disposable cartridge. The cartridge can contain filters and scavengers for preparing the gas used for NO generation and for scrubbing output gases prior to patient inhalation. The system can utilize an oxygen concentrator to increase nitric oxide production and compliment oxygen generator activity as an independent device. The system can also include a high voltage electrode assembly that is easily assembled and installed. Various nitric oxide delivery methods are provided, including the use of a nasal cannula.

A bone conduction device including an external component, the external component comprising a sound processor and transducer, the transducer configured to generate mechanical forces, and the external component configured for positioning behind a recipient's ear such that the mechanical forces are transmitted from the external component to a recipient's bone to generate a hearing percept via bone conduction.

LUNG AIRWAY CLEARANCE

A system for providing treatment adapted to clear lung airways, the system including at least one pressure applicator adapted, when activated, to apply pressure at at least one specific location on a torso of a patient, and, when deactivated, to release the pressure, a sensor for sensing a signal associated with the patient, and, a controller, in communication with the sensor, adapted to analyze the signal and to control activation and deactivation of the at least one pressure applicator based, at least in part, on analyzing the signal. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

Apparatus and method for oxygen delivery to a patient during manual ventilation
11559651 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A system for detecting manual ventilation and selectively delivering a high flow of oxygen. The system comprises a source of compressed oxygen coupled to a first lumen of a nasal cannula, with an oxygen flow control valve coupled to a processor to control the flow of oxygen to the nasal cannula. A second lumen of the nasal cannula is in connection with a pressure sensor and the pressure sensor in connection with the processor. The processor may receive the pressure values and be programmed to determine when manual ventilation has occurred, and send a signal to the oxygen flow control valve to send a high flow of oxygen in response to manual ventilation.

MRI-compatible cryocatheters and system

A system and device for cryoablation of tissue that is suitable for use within an MRI environment. The device may include an elongate body, a treatment element at the distal portion of the elongate body, and one or more pull fibers. The pull fibers may be composed of a non-ferromagnetic material, such as a polymer. Likewise, none of the other device components may be composed of a ferromagnetic material. The device may also include at least one fiber optic sensor. The elongate body distal portion may include a distal tip to which the pull fibers are directly coupled. Additionally or alternatively, the elongate body may include one or more pull fiber lumens configured to allow the pull fibers to deflect the distal portion when a pull force is exerted on the pull fibers.

JAWBONE POSITIONING

An apparatus for controlling positioning of a subject's jawbone including an expandable device expandable to apply a force on the subject's jawbone in a direction of an anterior position with respect to a subject's skull; a mounting device holding the expandable device in proximity to the subject's jawbone to facilitate application of the force on the subject's jawbone and configured to position the expandable device behind the subject's jawbone such that application of the force on the subject's jawbone rotates the subject's jawbone relative to the subject's skull towards the anterior position; and a control system configured to control the force in response to the control system receiving an indication of a change in at least one of: an oxygen level of the subject; a gas flow rate of therapy gas supplied to the subject; a position and/or orientation of the subject; and/or a sleep state of the subject.
