An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container, an actuator, and a biasing member. The actuator is configured to move the medicament container within the housing when the actuator is moved from a first configuration to a second configuration. The actuator includes a gas container and a puncturer. When the actuator is in the first configuration, a portion of the puncturer is disposed apart from the gas container. When the actuator is in the second configuration, the portion of the puncturer is disposed within the gas container. The gas container has a longitudinal axis offset from a longitudinal axis of the medicament container. The biasing member is configured to bias the actuator toward the second configuration.

A drug delivery device configured to provide a dose of medicament is disclosed. The drug delivery device includes a main housing, a syringe arranged in the main housing, and a pneumatic power pack arranged in the main housing. The pneumatic power pack includes a pressurized gas source storing pressurized gas, a valve for the pressurized gas source, a sleeve having an inner wall, and a plunger. The sleeve is configured to receive pressurized gas released from the pressurized gas source. The plunger is in sliding gas-tight engagement with the inner wall of the sleeve. Upon activation of the valve, the valve releases the pressurized gas, and the released pressurized gas flows into the sleeve and propels the plunger in a distal direction with respect to the sleeve and the syringe, so as to eject medicament from the syringe.

A sealable joint including a first component, a second component, and a third component. The first component includes a stem having a bore therethrough for the passage of a fluid. The second component is disposed on the first component, and the third component includes a sealing surface and one or more radially inwardly projecting members. One of the second component and the first component, or a combination of the second component and the first component includes a first flange and a second flange that defines an annular recess therebetween. In a sealing configuration, the second component is received by the third component to form a sealed joint in which at least part of the first flange deforms against the sealing surface, the one or more radially inwardly projecting members are disposed in the annular recess between the first flange and the second flange.

A drug delivery device configured to provide a dose of medicament is disclosed. The drug delivery device includes a main housing, a syringe arranged in the main housing, and a pneumatic power pack arranged in the main housing. The pneumatic power pack includes a pressurized gas source storing pressurized gas, a valve for the pressurized gas source, a sleeve having an inner wall, and a plunger. The sleeve is configured to receive pressurized gas released from the pressurized gas source. The plunger is in sliding gas-tight engagement with the inner wall of the sleeve. Upon activation of the valve, the valve releases the pressurized gas, and the released pressurized gas flows into the sleeve and propels the plunger in a distal direction with respect to the sleeve and the syringe, so as to eject medicament from the syringe.

A nasal delivery device for delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a substance supply unit for supplying a dose of substance to be delivered to the nasal cavity of the subject, the substance supply unit including an inlet and an outlet; a nosepiece unit including a nosepiece for fitting to a nasal cavity of the subject and being in fluid communication with the outlet of the substance supply unit; and a mouthpiece unit including a mouthpiece in fluid communication with the inlet of the substance supply unit and through which the subject in use exhales such as to entrain substance from the container chamber and deliver the same through the nosepiece, and at least one temperature modifier for reducing a temperature of the exhaled air flow such as to reduce the absolute humidity thereof.

A device is provided for delivering a predetermined volume of at least one substance within a body cavity of a subject. The device contains a) a capsule for containing the predetermined volume of substances; b) a delivery end, having at least one orifice of diameter D, for placement in proximity to the body cavity; c) a valve mechanically connectable to the capsule, having at least two configurations: (i) an active configuration in which the valve enables delivery of the substances; and (ii) an inactive configuration, in which the valve prevents delivery of the substances from the capsule to the body cavity; and d) a fluid tight chamber configured to contain predetermined volume V.sub.gas of pressurized gas at a predetermined pressure, P.sub.gas. The capsule further contains at least one mixing mechanism that mixes the substances and the pressurized gas after the valve is reconfigured to the active configuration.

A handheld therapeutic apparatus and method of treatment are disclosed. In one example, the apparatus includes a valve system, a detachable gas cartridge housing unit that houses a gas cartridge or gas delivery from an outside gas cylinder in fluid communication with said valve system, a detachable treatment receptacle for the delivery of gas therapies is in fluid communication with said valve system, and a detachable nozzle in fluid communication with said valve system.

An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container, an actuator, and a biasing member. Disclosed is a hand piece for an aesthetic and medical device including a first body portion having a cylindrical structure in which a cartridge mounting space a second body portion bound to a lower side of the first body portion and having a cylindrical structure having an upper side on which an air pressure providing portion configured to provide air pressure to the cartridge-mounting space and the auxiliary air flow paths is mounted and a spray head portion bound to an upper body of the first body portion and having a central part on which a spray needle bound to an upper body of the cartridge to upwardly spray the liquid cosmetic product or liquid medication accommodated in the cartridge is mounted.
