Magnetic intubation apparatus
An endotracheal tube insertion apparatus configured to assist in the proper placement of an endotracheal tube during patient intubation. The present invention includes an external member wherein the external member has a housing with an arcuate formed bottom surface configured to be superposed a patient's neck during intubation. The external member includes a proximity sensor and a magnet. The endotracheal tube insertion apparatus further includes an insertion member that is elongated in form and has movably coupled thereto an end member. The end member is positioned so as to extend beyond the end of the endotracheal tube. The end member includes a proximity tag member and a magnet member wherein the magnet member is configured to be attracted to the magnet located in the external member so as to guide the endotracheal tube to the correct location. A plurality of lights further provides visual confirmation of the proper location.
NEEDLELESS SYRINGE
In a needleless syringe according to the present invention, a current is supplied to a solenoid coil to generate a magnetic field so as to move a moving magnetic body and a piston forward, and when the current to the solenoid coil is cut off, an elastic member for the moving magnetic body moves the moving magnetic body backward and an elastic member for the piston moves the piston backward, so that the piston to be injected by pressurizing a drug is configured to reciprocate repeatedly forward and backward and thus, a predetermined drug can be repeatedly injected at high speed. In addition, according to the present invention, time for which the current is applied to the solenoid coil, is adjusted to minimize recoil without adding a recoil offset structure so that the structure is simple and convenience of use can be improved.
Implantable externally driven fluid delivery system
An implantable externally driven fluid delivery system for localized delivery of medical agents and drugs, such as antibiotics, may be provided herein. The fluid delivery system includes a housing that incorporates a filling septum connected to a flexible internal reservoir. The reservoir is connected to a miniature diaphragm pump with coupled magnetic components. The entire fluid delivery system is implantable into a body cavity or surgically formed location that provides for local medical agent delivery. The reservoir is filled via percutaneous injection through the skin into the septum. Fluid delivery is achieved through proximity of the external controller that generates an oscillating or reversing magnetic field suitable to actuate the pump's diaphragm resulting in controlled fluid flow. Once local drug delivery treatment is complete, the controller can be discarded.
MEDICAL INFUSION DEVICE
An infusion system for infusing a medication in a patient, comprising a medication dose dispensing device and a control device for controlling the dispensing device. The infusion system can be configured in a non-operating configuration, in which the dispensing device and the control device are spaced apart from each other, and in an operating configuration, in which the dispensing device and the control device are temporarily proximity-coupled. The actuating rotor of the control device and the actuated rotor of the dispensing device have a common rotation axes, and the system can compensate or block the rotation of the control device with respect to the dispensing device.
DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING A MEDICAL FLUID AND RELATIVE DELIVERY METHOD
A device for delivering a medical fluid (4) comprising a body which houses: at least one containment tank (20) of a medical fluid, a fluid injection device (24) which interfaces with said containment tank (20) and is suitable to allow controlled delivery of a fluid through a cannula (32), an extraction device (40) of the cannula (32) from a retracted or rest configuration to an extracted or infusion configuration, activation means (44) which comprise a rotor (48), rotatable about a rotation axis (X-X) in an injection rotation direction (I) and in a control rotation direction (C), opposite each other.
DRY POWDER NEBULIZER
A dry powder delivery device may be configured to provide micronized dry powder particles to airways of a user. The device may include a cylindrical container delimiting a chamber containing at least one magnetically-responsive object, a motor external to said chamber, a magnet external to the chamber and rotatably coupled with the motor, and an outflow member configured to direct airflow to a user. The magnetically-responsive object may be coated with micronized dry powder particles, and the motor may be operable to rotate the magnet about an axis. Rotation of the magnet creates a magnetic field that causes the magnetically-responsive object to move in response to the magnetic field and collide with a side wall of the container to deaggregate the dry powder particles and aerosolize the dry powder in the chamber.
NEEDLE-FREE INJECTOR
Disclosed is a needle-free injector. The needle-free injector includes a first current applying unit that applies a first current, a first coil that receives the first current from the first current applying unit, a second coil that moves to apply pressure to a drug, a housing of which the outside is surrounded by the first coil and in which the second coil is positioned, a drug chamber which is connected to the housing and in which the drug is positioned, and an injection nozzle positioned in the drug chamber to inject the drug.
CONNECTED INJECTION DEVICES WITH STATUS SENSING SYSTEMS
An injection device assembly including a housing, a syringe, a drive mechanism and one or more sensing systems are described. The drive mechanism advances the syringe from a storage position to an injection position, and a plunger advances the syringe piston from an initial position to a final position. The status sensing system may include one or more main PCB(s) disposed in an end portion of the injection device assembly's housing. The system may determine various parameters related to an operational status of the injection device, including the location of the device's components, an amount of medication remaining in the device, a temperature of the medication, and whether or not the device is properly contacting the user's skin before injection. The system may communicate such determined parameters to an external device via a wireless communication link.
