Medical fluid delivery system including remote machine updating and control
A medical fluid delivery system and apparatus for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery apparatus includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor is configured to receive a disinfection input to begin a disinfection procedure and cause the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform a disinfection procedure on the dialysis fluid circuit using a disinfection fluid. The processor is also configured to, after the disinfection procedure is complete, start a disinfection timer. When a dialysis input is received before the disinfection timer reaches zero, the processor enables a dialysis treatment to be performed. When the disinfection timer reaches zero before the dialysis input is received, the processor prevents the dialysis treatment from being performed until the disinfection procedure is performed again.
Installation for the injection of a radioactive product into a patient and method for the implementation thereof
Disclosed is a system for injecting a radioactive product to a patient, wherein the system includes: a first syringe containing the radioactive product, whose plunger cooperates with an injection mass, acting by gravity, associated with deactivatable holding element; a mobile stop arranged to constitute an end-of-travel stop for the retraction of the plunger, as a function of the volume of radioactive product to be injected to the patient; a second syringe containing a rinsing product, whose plunger cooperates with a rinsing mass, acting by gravity, associated with deactivatable holding element; a trigger control element for triggering the injection of the radioactive product to the patient; and a management element including a unit for displacing the mobile stop structure as a function of the prescribed activity to be injected to the patient, and a unit for controlling the deactivatable holding element of the masses.
Method, system and device for assisted sleep
The methods, systems and devices provided herein relate to sleep-aid. Some embodiments include a vibration source and/or a sound source. In some embodiments, the vibration source and/or sound source emit vibrations and/or sounds that stimulate a subject's vagus nerve, or another nerve, to induce sleep or relaxation in the subject.
Infant, toddler and child sensory enhancing bed
A bed shaped device or structure provides sensory enhancement for the comfort of the infant, baby, toddler, or child. The invention replicates the physical, physiology, and sensation of the mother to the child during the pregnancy period. The structure of the present invention facilitates transfer of the nurturing, characteristics of the mother through dynamics, temperature, graphical imagery, sound, scent, and nourishment to the infant, baby, toddler, or child whereby each senses the replicated comfort, attachment, and/or bonding the mother, as in the womb.
MONITORING FUNCTIONING OF AN OPERATION SOFTWARE PROGRAM OF A BREAST PUMP DEVICE
A breast pump device (1) comprises i) a fluid pressure arrangement (2, 3) configured to interact with a breast from which milk is to be extracted and to realize a pressure cycle at a position where the fluid pressure arrangement (2, 3) is to face the breast, ii) a controller configured to execute an operation software program for controlling operation of the breast pump device (1), the operation software program including instructions to cause the fluid pressure arrangement (2, 3) to realize the pressure cycle, and iii) a monitoring arrangement configured to monitor functioning of the operation software program and to cause release of underpressure in case malfunctioning of the operation software program is detected. As a result, malfunctioning of the operation software program cannot last and any vacuum that may have built up in such a situation is automatically released.
FLUIDIC SIGNAL CONTROL DEVICE
There is provided a control device for providing a fluidic signal to a medical infusion apparatus, the device comprising a housing and a pressure control sheet, wherein the pressure control sheet is formed from a deformable and resilient material, and the pressure control sheet is secured to and forms a seal with the housing such that the housing and the pressure control sheet together define a first chamber and an independent second chamber, wherein the pressure control sheet is arranged so that the fluid pressure within each chamber can be changed upon input from a user. The control device further comprises a first fluid conduit member in fluid-flow communication with the first chamber and a second fluid conduit member in fluid-flow communication with the second chamber, wherein, in use, inputs from a user change the fluid pressure within the chambers which causes movement of fluid through the fluid conduit members to provide fluidic signals.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING LUNG CHARACTERISTICS VIA REGIONAL IMPEDANCE AND PATIENT POSITIONING
Methods and systems for assessing characteristics of a lung of a patient. A method includes, during an applied positive end expiratory pressure, identifying a first position of a patient, acquiring first impedance data representative of at least a region of patient's lung when the patient is in the first position, during the applied positive end expiratory pressure, identifying a second different position of a patient, acquiring second impedance data representative of at least the region of patient's lung when the patient is in the second position, comparing the first impedance data with the second impedance data, and determining whether the applied positive end expiratory pressure is sufficient to effectuate recruitment.
System and method for delivering therapeutic agents to the uterine cavity
Apparatus for delivering a therapeutic agent to a uterine cavity including an elongated member having a fluid channel for passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity, a dispensing member extending distally of the elongated member and having at least one perforation for passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity into contact with the endometrium. An infusion line is in communication with the fluid channel for passage of a fluid into the uterine cavity to assess leakage to determine integrity of the uterine cavity prior to passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity.
Gas supply warning and communication system
A fluid supply warning and communication system including a digital regulator in fluid tight engagement with a primary fluid reservoir. A method of using the fluid supply warning and communication system by flowing a fluid from a primary fluid reservoir to an end use appliance and detecting flow rate and pressure of the fluid with a digital regulator. A gas supply warning and communication system including an oxygen flow monitor that monitors SpO2, flow rate, pulse rate, and battery levels. A method of using the gas supply warning and communication system by flowing oxygen from a primary gas reservoir to an end use appliance, and measuring SpO2, flow rate, pulse rate, tank status, and battery levels.
Vaporizer power system
A system includes a converter configured to electrically couple to a power source and to a heating element of a vaporizer atomizer. The converter can be further configured to receive a first voltage from the power source and provide a second voltage to the heating element. The converter can be a direct-current to direct-current converter. A power monitor configured to electrically couple to the heating element, measure a current through the heating element, measure a voltage over the heating element, calculate a power and/or resistance, and output a control signal to the converter. The converter can be configured to be controlled by the control signal to vary the second voltage to maintain a target power or a target temperature over the heating element.
