A ventilation device comprising a controllable respiratory gas source and a programmable control unit being configured to perform the following: determining the respiratory gas flow, which is used to determine whether an inspiration or an expiration is present, regulating the pressure for an inspiration (IPAP) and an expiration (EPAP), wherein the control unit determines a typical expiration time over n breaths, the control unit lowers the pressure from the IPAP to the EPAP taking into account the typical expiration time in such a way that the pressure drop to the EPAP is already reached to the extent of at least 85% after a proportion of the typical expiration time in the range of 40-60% of the typical expiration time, the EPAP after completion of the pressure drop being predefined until the end of the typical expiration time.

A VR therapeutic activity platform may increase patient engagement and challenge patients at more appropriate times by better matching activities corresponding to a patient's impairments and dynamically adjusting each VR activity based on performance to offer a challenging and rewarding therapeutic experience.

An Apparatus And Method For Producing A Flow Profile
A method for generating a flow profile of an inhalation device is described. The method comprises the step of measuring acoustic emissions induced by inhalation flow through the inhalation device. The method further comprises the step of detecting peak frequencies in the measured acoustic emissions and generating a flow profile based on the detected peak frequencies. A corresponding device is also described.
Methods, systems and devices for non-invasive open ventilation with gas delivery nozzles with an outer tube
A non-invasive ventilation system may include at least one outer tube with a proximal lateral end of the outer tube adapted to extend to a side of a nose. The at least one outer tube may also include a throat section. At least one coupler may be located at a distal section of the outer tube for impinging at least one nostril and positioning the at least one outer tube relative to the at least one nostril. At least one jet nozzle may be positioned within the outer tube at the proximal lateral end and in fluid communication with a pressurized gas supply. At least one opening in the distal section may be adapted to be in fluid communication with the nostril. At least one aperture in the at least one outer tube may be in fluid communication with ambient air. The at least one aperture may be in proximity to the at least one jet nozzle.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING A LEVEL OF ANXIETY
There is described a method and system for measuring a level of anxiety. Measured data comprising EEG data collected from a parietal (P) EEG electrode is received. A group 8 indicator based on a power, P-power (dt), associated with a delta-theta frequency band, dt, within a delta-theta frequency range is extracted. Based on said group 8 indicator, a level of anxiety, LoA, is determined which is a value indicative of the level of anxiety of the subject.

There is described a method and system for measuring a level of anxiety. Measured data comprising EEG data collected from a parietal (P) EEG electrode is received. Based on said group 8 indicator, a level of anxiety, LoA, is determined which is a value indicative of the level of anxiety of the subject.

Described herein are an interactive apparatus and methods for sensing and measuring real-time characteristic patterns of a subject's use of a dry powder inhalation system. The inhaler device can be used in a wireless communication mode to communicate with a display to assess the subject's usage of the inhalation system concurrently as the inhalation is performed and thus the subject's inhalation can be evaluated as well as the performance of the inhalation system. The system can also detect the identity of the medicament, its dosage, lot, expiration, etc. and the characteristics profile of a dry powder formulation emitted from the inhalation system in use.
