DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND DELIVERY ASSEMBLIES FOR PROSTHETIC HEART VALVES, METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are delivery systems and delivery assemblies comprising a co-extruded elongated polymeric sleeve comprising an inner polymer layer and an outer polymer layer, which form two lumens having a different diameter, wherein the inner polymer layer comprises a fluoropolymer; and wherein the outer polymer layer comprises a polyamide, or a polyether block amide, or a combination thereof. Also disclosed are methods of making and using the same.
MICROCATHETER
A microcatheter comprising an inner layer, a strike layer and an outer layer and a braided skeleton located between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein the inner layer is made of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and has a thickness of 0.0015 inch or less, wherein the strike layer includes a polyether block amide and has a thickness of 0.001 inch or less, and wherein a distal portion of said outer layer is made of polycarbonate-based thermoplastic polyurethane having a shore of 90A or below.
Instrument for endoscopic applications or the like
An instrument for endoscopic applications, including a tubular member having a handling end portion having a flexible portion and actuating devices located at the other end portion, and longitudinal elements for transferring the movement of the actuating devices to the handling end portion resulting in a change of orientation thereof, whereby the handling end portion includes at least two independent flexible portions, whereby the actuating end portion has a corresponding number of actuating devices, and whereby each actuating device is connected by its own set of longitudinal elements to a part of the handling end portion for effecting a change of orientation of one of the flexible portions.
Systems, methods and apparatus for guiding and supporting catheters and methods of manufacture
A device for guiding and supporting a stent delivery catheter and other catheters is disclosed. The device may comprise a tubular guiding member and an elongated positioning member extending in a proximal direction beyond the tubular guiding member for advancing and retracting the tubular guiding member in distal and proximal directions. A distal portion of the elongate positioning member may be coupled to the proximal portion of the tubular guide. In embodiments, the device includes a ribbon having a distal portion and a proximal portion. In embodiments, the distal portion of the ribbon extends distally into the tubular guiding member and the proximal portion of the ribbon overlays an inner surface of the elongate positioning member. Methods for making medical devices and portions of medical devices (e.g., intravascular catheters, catheter shafts, and tubular guiding members) are also provided. Example methods may include providing a first ribbon comprising one or more thermoplastic materials and a piece of shrink tubing defining a shrink tube lumen and forming a first assembly by positioning the first ribbon inside the shrink tube lumen and urging the first ribbon to assume a tubular shape in which the first ribbon defines a ribbon lumen. A second assembly may be formed by loading an inner tubular member over a mandrel and forming or placing a support structure over an outer surface of the inner tubular member. A third assembly may be formed by inserting the second assembly into the ribbon lumen defined by the first ribbon of the first assembly. The third assembly may be heated to a process temperature.
Indwelling luminal devices
The invention comprises an indwelling medical device which is capable of delivering a therapeutic agent evenly along the length of the indwelling portion, including the outer wall, of the device.
Cannula having a wire that extends along said cannula
A cannula has an electrically conductive material that runs along the cannula. This material has an electrical terminal, which can be wired or wirelessly connected with a measuring device. This makes it possible to acquire the position of the cannula in a human body, and generate a warning signal given a dislocation of the cannula.
Delivery apparatus for prosthetic heart valve
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a delivery apparatus for a prosthetic heart valve. Disclosed delivery apparatuses can include a handle, a first shaft extending from the handle, a second shaft disposed around the first shaft, and a valve cover. The valve cover can be coupled to a distal end portion of the first shaft and can be configured to house a prosthetic heart valve in a radially compressed state. The valve cover can have an outer diameter greater than an outer diameter of the second shaft, and the first shaft and valve cover can be movable together in an axial direction relative to the second shaft.
ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE
Devices and methods for the treatment of chronic total occlusions are provided. One disclosed embodiment comprises a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method includes inserting an intramural crossing device into the vascular lumen, positioning at least the distal tip of the crossing device in the vascular wall, advancing an orienting device over the crossing device such that an orienting element of the orienting device resides in the vascular wall, inserting a reentry device, and re-entering the true vascular lumen.
ANTI-ADHESION INTRAUTERINE BALLOON
An intrauterine balloon catheter for inhibiting formation of intrauterine adhesions in a mammalian uterus comprising balloon and a sheath, wherein the balloon is at least partially attached to the inner surface of the sheath and wherein the balloon and sheath, when the balloon is inflated, conform to the size and shape of the uterus and contact the wall of the uterus. The catheter further comprises a pressure control lock, clipping unit and one or more therapeutic agents which are therapeutically effective in inhibiting intrauterine adhesion formation.
URINARY CATHETER WITH VARYING PROPERTIES
A urinary catheter and a method of its manufacture are disclosed. The urinary catheter comprises a tubular shaft extending between an insertion end and a discharge end, the tubular shaft being formed of at least two materials having different properties. The materials are arranged substantially separated from each other in distinct zones, wherein at least one of the width and thickness of said zones varies over the length of the tubular shaft, to form two or more uniform sections of the tubular shaft having various relative amounts of said materials, and wherein at least one transition between two such uniform sections is formed by at least one transition section providing a gradual transition between the uniform sections. The catheter can e.g. be produced by intermittent extrusion.
