ATHERECTOMY SYSTEM WITH REUSABLE PORTION AND SINGLE USE PORTION

An atherectomy system includes a drive assembly and an advancer assembly. The drive assembly, which may be reusable, includes a drive motor having an output shaft and a first coupler segment that is secured relative to the output shaft. A controller may be adapted to regulate operation of the drive motor. The advancer assembly, which may be single use, includes a flexible drive cable that is adapted to be releasably securable to the first coupler segment. The advancer assembly includes gearing that is secured within the advancer assembly and is operably coupled with the flexible drive cable. A burr catheter is coupled with and extends distally of the gearing. The advancer assembly is adapted to enable relative translation of the burr catheter in order to advance and withdraw an atherectomy burr rotatably secured to a distal end of the burr catheter.

ROBOTICALLY DRIVEN INTERVENTIONAL DEVICE

A robotically driven interventional device includes an elongate, flexible body, having a proximal end and a distal end; a hub on the proximal end; at least one rotatable roller on a first surface of the hub; and at least one magnet on the first surface of the hub.

Endoscopic patch applicator

A medical dispensing device which includes a catheter, an applicator tip at a distal end of the catheter, the catheter and the applicator tip defining a lumen having a longitudinal axis and a distal opening, a plunger in the lumen and movable along the longitudinal axis, and a plurality of elements in the lumen proximal to the distal opening and distal to the plunger, the plurality of elements stacked along the longitudinal axis for dispersement of one element at a time through the distal opening via a force applied by the plunger.

MEDICAL APPARATUS

A medical catheter that includes an elongate main tube, the tube having an outer wall that surrounds an internal passage, branch tubes having an outer wall connected to the outer wall of the main tube which extend outward from the main tube in different respective directions and have one or more apertures passing through their outer wall to their internal passage to permit fluid to pass through the branch tubes and into the main tube in use. The branch tubes are arranged to be able to move towards each other to permit location of the catheter within the bore of a needle or needle-like apparatus and which return to their original outwards state when removed.

REMOTE CATHETER MANIPULATOR

A catheter assembly may include an introducer needle coupled to a needle hub, an intermediate member having a contact surface, a resilient member, and a ramp member. The resilient member may be coupled to one of the needle hub and the intermediate member. The ramp member may be coupled to the other one of the needle hub and the intermediate member. The resilient member may engage a ramp surface of the ramp member and impart a force on the intermediate member in a distal direction. The contact surface of the intermediate member may engage a proximal surface of a catheter adapter body and urge the catheter adapter body in the distal direction such that a catheter projecting from the catheter adapter body may be translated in the distal direction relative to the introducer needle.

Systems and Methods for Adjusting the Length of Line Draw Lever Lock Components for Compatibility With Various Length Peripheral Intravenous Catheters (PIVC)

A fluid transfer device for use with a peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) including an introducer body having a proximal end and a distal end, and a flow tube at least partially housed within the introducer body, wherein the flow tube is configured to be selectively extendable from the introducer body. The fluid transfer device also includes a lever lock coupled to the distal end of the introducer body, wherein the lever lock includes a lumen configured to allow the flow tube to pass therethrough, and wherein an effective length of the lever lock relative to the distal end of the introducer body is adjustable in order to accommodate use of the fluid transfer device with indwelling catheters of the PIVC having various lengths.

Dual manipulation for robotic catheter system

For robotically operating a catheter, translation and/or rotation manipulation is provided along the shaft or away from the handle, such as near a point of access to the patient. A worm drive arrangement may allow for both translation and rotation of the shaft. Some control may be provided by robotic manipulation of the handle, while other control (e.g., fine adjustments) are made by robotic manipulation of the shaft.

VASCULAR ACCESS SYSTEM

A vascular access system comprising a sheath, a slitted sleeve, and a sealing portion of the slitted sleeve. The slitted sleeve comprises a tubular sleeve body having a longitudinal slit along its length, wherein the slitted sleeve is adapted to receive a first portion of a medical device therein. The longitudinal slit closes, but does not seal, after the first portion of the medical device is inserted therein. The sealing portion of the slitted sleeve is configured to fill a gap and form a seal between an inner surface of the sheath and a portion of the first portion of the medical device disposed in the sheath when the sheath is inserted in the blood vessel and the slitted sleeve is inserted into the sheath lumen.
