There is provided a system for cardiac electromagnetic/magnetic catheterization for diagnosing and treating blood vessels of a patient. The system having at least one electromagnetic intraluminal capsule able to force its way through a narrowing blood vessel, the capsule carrying a camera allowing visualization of blood vessels of a patient. There is a portable electromagnetic tip, where the tip pulls the electromagnetic capsule by electromagnetic force, and when the magnetic tip moves along a body of a patient and pulls the intraluminal electromagnetic capsule along with it towards a narrowing blood vessel visualized by the camera, so that the capsule then treats the narrowing site and clears the blood vessel from coronary plaque. In addition working capsule can replace diseased valve in any cardiac position for either temporary or permanent needs.

A balloon catheter includes an expandable balloon and an inner shaft arranged in the balloon. At least one marker forms a radiopaque material. The radiopaque material is formed and/or in a polymer carrier, and the polymer carrier is fastened to the inner shaft. A simple, reliable and economical method for producing a balloon catheter is also provided.

CARRYING PLATFORM FOR MOVING A DEVICE WITHIN A CONDUIT

A carrying platform for moving a device within a conduit, the carrying platform comprising: a body configured to be moveable within the conduit; a number of clampers provided on the body and configured to releasably engage the conduit for immobilizing the carrying platform relative to the conduit; and a device engagement mechanism provided on the body and configured to releasably engage the device.

A flow directed device adapted to be guided by a fuid, such as blood, flow within a tubular structure such as a blood vessel is disclosed, said device comprising a proximal end (100), a distal end (101) and an elongated body (102) in between defining a longitudinal axis (103), characterized in that said distal end (101) comprises a ferromagnetic area or structure (300) capable of deflecting the distal end (101) when subjected to an external magnetic field. A system comprising the device, as well as method of use of the device, are also disclosed.

SELF-CENTERING GUIDE CATHETER

An example medical device is disclosed. The device includes a tubular member having a lumen defined therein and a distal end portion, the distal end portion defining a guidewire port. The medical device also includes an expandable frame disposed along the distal end portion of the tubular member, the expandable frame being designed to shift between a first configuration and an expanded configuration. The frame includes a base, an end region and a plurality of struts extending between the base and the end region, the struts defining a plurality of apertures along the frame. The medical device also includes a cover attached to a portion of the frame and the cover is configured to cover one or more of the plurality of apertures such that the frame will align the guidewire port with an opening in a heart valve when the frame is positioned within a body lumen.

In some examples, a catheter includes an elongated body and an expandable member at a distal portion of the elongated body and defining at least part of a distal tip of the catheter. The expandable member includes a flexible membrane and an expandable ring or partial ring located at a distal portion of the expandable member, wherein the expandable ring or partial ring is configured to expand radially outward in response to electrical energy applied to the expandable ring or partial ring.

Passive Alignment of Commissures in Prosthetic Heart Valve Implantation

A delivery device for a collapsible prosthetic heart valve includes an inner shaft, an outer shaft, and a distal sheath. The distal sheath may be disposed distal to the outer shaft and about a portion of the inner shaft to form a compartment with the inner shaft. The compartment may be sized to receive the prosthetic heart valve. The inner shaft and the distal sheath may be movable relative to one another. A spine may extend along the outer shaft, the spine biasing the outer shaft so that the outer shaft tends to bend in a pre-determined direction.

Endovascular catheter with internal balloon

A catheter is disclosed that allows selective direction of a surgical tool into multiple blood vessels of a patient. The catheter includes a catheter body that has a main exit port and a side exit port. An internal balloon is provided within the catheter body. The internal balloon is inflatable, and can be located at or near a distal portion of the side exit port. When deflated, the internal balloon allows the surgical tool to advance past the side exit port and out the main exit port. When inflated, the internal balloon directs the surgical tool to advance out the side exit port instead of the main exit port.
