Body cavity irrigation integrated manual controller and pump device, system and method

A system for performing irrigation of a body cavity includes a reservoir containing an irrigation liquid, a catheter and a controller. The catheter is configured to be at least partially inserted into the body cavity and has a flushing passage, a drain passage and a retention balloon. A waste drain valve is in fluid communication with the drain passage of the catheter and is movable between a closed configuration, where waste is retained within the drain passage, and an open configuration where waste flows through the drain passage. The controller is in fluid communication with the reservoir and the catheter, and has a pump and a valve assembly. The valve assembly is changeable between configurations where, when the pump is actuated, irrigation liquid is pumped from the reservoir to the retention balloon, from the reservoir to the flushing passage of the catheter and from the retention balloon to the reservoir.

CONTINUOUS SUCTION AND REPERFUSION MECHANISM,

A suction device configured to simultaneously draw in fluid and expel fluid. The suction device may comprise a barrel defining a cavity and extending from a first end to a second end. A first fluid inlet may be adjacent the first end of the barrel and a second fluid inlet adjacent the second end of the barrel and a first fluid outlet may be adjacent the first end of the barrel and a second fluid outlet adjacent the second end of the barrel. A plunger may be slideably disposed within the cavity of the barrel with a handle assembly operably coupled thereto. A actuation of the handle assembly may be configured to move the plunger within the cavity between the first end and the second end of the barrel.

CANNULA INGRESS SYSTEM

A cannula ingress system may include a tip stabilization mechanism having a tip stabilization mechanism distal end and a tip stabilization mechanism proximal end, a fixation mechanism, a hypodermic tube having a hypodermic tube distal end and a hypos dermic tube proximal end, and a tip having a tip distal end and a tip proximal end. The tip may be disposed within the hypodermic tube wherein the tip distal end extends from the hypodermic tube distal end. The fixation mechanism may be disposed within a fixation mechanism channel of the tip stabilization mechanism. The tip stabilization mechanism may be disposed over the tip and the hypodermic tube distal end.

ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE

A device for irrigation of an oral cavity in a patient includes a suction element configured to be disposed in the oral cavity and configured to suction a fluid out of the oral cavity. The suction element also has one or more irrigation outlets configured to irrigate the oral cavity with the fluid. A suction line is fluidly coupled with the suction element and is configured to be fluidly coupled with a vacuum source. An irrigation line is fluidly coupled with the one or more irrigation outlets and is fluidly coupled with a source of the fluid.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EMULSIFYING TISSUE
20230028334 · 2023-01-26 · ·

A method and apparatus that reduces the time and trauma associated with tissue removal procedures such as Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction, which emulsifies and then extracts unwanted adipose from a patient's target zone. Emulsification and suction are optimized and performed in a synchronous manner by a single apparatus to improve the outcome and minimize, if not eliminate, the limitations, risks and complications caused by current state of the art techniques.

FECAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Fecal management methods and apparatuses (e.g., devices, systems, etc.) are described herein. The fecal management apparatuses may apply one or more fecal removal cycles of suction and irrigation (and in some examples air) to actively remove fecal material. The apparatus may control the timing of delivery of the fecal removal cycles as well as the parameters of the applied suction, irrigation and/or air within and between fecal removal cycles.

A catheter includes a tubular body to be inserted into a living body. The tubular body has a lumen that is held in fluid communication with an injection port defined in a distal end of the tubular body and a suction port near a proximal end of the tubular body, and the suction port is closed when the injection port is open, and the injection port is closed when the suction port is open.

PHACOEMULSIFIER WITH HERMETIC PROTECTION AGAINST DISTALLY-PROPAGATING PRESSURE PULSES
20230218437 · 2023-07-13 ·

A phacoemulsification system includes a hollow needle, an aspiration line, and a protection valve inserted in the aspiration line. The needle is configured to emulsify a lens of an eye. The aspiration line is for evacuating material from the eye. The protection valve includes a chamber, a piston and a seal. The chamber has an inlet for receiving the material arriving from the needle, and an outlet for flowing the material along the aspiration line. The piston is configured to move in the chamber between a first position that enables material flow between the inlet and the outlet, and a second position that blocks the material flow. The seal is coupled with the inlet and is configured, when the piston is in the second position, to compress between the piston and the inlet in response to a pressure pulse that propagates in the aspiration line, thereby hermetically sealing the inlet.

Systems and methods for nasal irrigation
11547628 · 2023-01-10 · ·

Systems and methods for nasal irrigation are provided in which a nasal irrigation device includes a source of saline solution, an effluent receptacle, a nasal interface, a vacuum source, a fluid passageway to communicate the source of saline solution with the effluent receptacle through the nasal interface and a nasal cavity of a user, and a switch and valve assembly for selectively controlling the vacuum source and flow of the saline solution through the fluid passageway. The source of saline solution is disposed relative to the device to provide gravitational inducement of the saline solution to the nasal interface in engagement to the device user's nostrils. A combination of the gravitational inducement and a relative vacuum from the effluent receptacle generates a fluid flow for irrigating, cleansing and massaging the nasal cavity and ostia of the user. The entire device is assembled as a hand-held device for convenient lifting and disposal against the user's nostrils.
