Nasal oral care antiseptics cleansing kit
A patient cleaning kit having a package; an insert within the package, the insert and the package forming a first cavity and a second cavity; a cover coupled to the package, the cover and the package together enveloping the insert; a premoistened nasal swab within the first cavity; an oral swab within the second cavity; a toothbrush within the second cavity; and a bottle of germicidal solution within the package.
Skin Tear Kit, Instructional Labeling System, and Methods Therefor
A medical kit (100) includes a package (105) having a housing (501) and a lid (103). One or more medical implements (1001,1101,1201,1301) for treating a skin tear wound are arranged in a stacked configuration within the package. An instructional labeling system (106) is coupled to the lid. The instructional labeling system can include an identification (107) of a skin tear type the one or more medical implements are designed to treat, a description (108) of the skin tear type, printed instructions (110) defining one or more steps (111,112,113,114) instructing when to use each medical implement within the package to treat the skin tear wound, and one or more removable adhesive labels (115,116).
Auto-replenishing, wound-dressing apparatus and method
Apparatus and methods to treat skin defects include a pump with reservoirs for a pressurization gas and a fluid. Upon activation, the pump generates a gas introduced into the gas reservoir, a movable wall of which displaces a movable wall of a fluid source, thus dispensing the fluid into the dressing to spread throughout irrespective of orientation of the dressing, maintaining a transport fluid (e.g. carrier) in the dressing and in contact with a skin defect being treated. The dressing may have a distribution network, and multiple members, dispensing the fluid into the dressing and in contact with a skin defect being treated.
Flow distribution pad and methods for using them
Apparatus and methods are provided for delivering fluids into a patient's body that includes a tubular member including a proximal end, a distal end sized for introduction into a patient's body, and a fluid delivery lumen extending between the proximal and distal ends; and a flexible pad on the distal end including a tissue contacting surface, a passage communicating with the fluid delivery lumen, and plurality of capillary channels in the tissue contact surface communicating with the passage, the capillary channels configured to deliver fluid from the fluid delivery lumen and passage to tissue contacted by the tissue contact surface.
HAIR GROWTH APPLICATOR AND METHOD OF USE
A hair growth applicator for promoting the growth of hair follicles by applying hair growth liquid, comprising a handle having an internal chamber for containing said hair growth liquid, said handle having a channel running from said chamber to a distal end of said handle, a tip disposed at said distal end of said handle with a plurality of needles disposed on said distal surface of said tip, said distal surface having an opening, wherein said chamber is in fluid connection with said opening on said distal surface of said tip
Wound therapy system with internal alternating orifice
A wound therapy system includes a dressing sealable over a wound and defining a wound space between the dressing and the wound, tubing fluidly communicable with the wound space, and a canister fluidly communicable with the tubing. The canister, the tubing, and the dressing define a sealed space that includes the wound space. The wound therapy system also includes a therapy unit coupled to the canister. The therapy unit includes a sensor configured to measure a pressure in the sealed space, a valve positioned between the sealed space and a surrounding environment and controllable between an open position and a closed position, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to control the valve to alternate between the open position and the closed position to allow airflow through the valve, receive measurements from the sensor, and determine a volume of the wound space based on the measurements.
Applicator with internal chambers for dispensing therapeutic fluids
An applicator has a stem, one or more tips, and one or more chambers which may hold therapeutic or medicinal fluids. The applicator may be separated into two sections so the tips can be used independently. The fluids held in the chambers may be separated with one or more frangible walls which can be broken to release or mix the fluids. The tips are used as applicators for the therapeutic or medicinal effects produced by the fluids or the medicines contained in the cavity.
Adhesive encased protective caps for needle devices and related methods
A needle assembly includes a catheter hub, a catheter tube extending distally from the catheter hub, and a needle hub having a needle having a needle tip extending out the catheter tube. A protective cap is positioned with the catheter hub and covers the catheter tube and the needle tip. The protective cap has a casing having a casing body, a first opening at a proximal end of the casing body, a proximal cavity having the needle tip and the catheter tube located in the proximal cavity, a second opening at an end opposite the first opening and opening into a distal cavity, and a rim at the second opening. A lid is removably attached to the rim at the second opening to seal a solution inside the distal cavity. The solution is dispensable from the distal cavity following separation of the lid from the rim.
Medical skin applicator apparatus
The present invention relates to a fluid applicator apparatus and methods of using the apparatus. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus for storing and dispensing solutions (e.g., fluid solutions of any kind) (e.g., liquid medicaments and/or sterilization solutions) to a surface of a subject.
Applicator device
An applicator device includes a top and a bottom layer of a flexible material tightly connected at their borders. An edge constitutes a grip zone to handle the applicator. Parallel weakening lines in each layer define an application section and closely surround a pad of a material capable to retain an agent or an elevation constituting a confinement structure for an agent. The superposition of weakening line and border of agent carrying material or the elevation constituting a part of the confinement structure avoids a contact of the flexible material with the surface to be treated as the carrying material layer or the confinement structure serve as a spacer. As a consequence, the applicator is suited to be used on highly sensitive surfaces like skin or mucosa.
