Flexible tubing management system for pharmaceutical, bioprocess applications, and food/dairy applications
A system for managing flexible conduit or tubing used in pharmaceutical, bioprocess, or food/dairy applications includes a segment of flexible conduit or tubing and a plurality of conduit tracks, each conduit track including a conduit channel disposed on a first side thereof and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and dimensioned to receive the segment of flexible conduit or tubing therein, each conduit track further including a connector channel disposed on a second, opposing side and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and containing the one or more connectors that connect adjacent conduit tracks. The conduit tracks can be connected to each other or other process components.
CLAMP
A clamp includes a fixed portion on which a medical tube is placed, a movable portion that is provided above the fixed portion to face the fixed portion, and a closing portion that presses and closes the medical tube when the movable portion is pressed toward the fixed portion. The closing portion includes a presser that protrudes from the movable portion toward the fixed portion and presses the medical tube, a pair of sidewalls that extends, like a wall, from both sides of the fixed portion and prevents the medical tube from being shifted laterally, and a guide structure that allows the presser to be guided between the sidewalls.
CLAMP
A clamp includes a fixed portion including an upper portion on which a medical tube is to be placed; a movable portion that faces the fixed portion; a curved portion that connects the fixed portion and the movable portion and is configured to elastically deform; a pressing portion that protrudes from the movable portion toward the fixed portion, and presses and closes the medical tube; a pair of sidewalls that protrude from both side portions of the fixed portion in a wall shape, respectively, and are configured to prevent lateral displacement of the medical tube; and a standing portion that faces the curved portion. The standing portion is provided with a lateral displacement prevention mechanism that prevents sideward deformation of the movable portion when the movable portion is pressed.
Gravity fed dialysis systems and methods
A gravity fed peritoneal dialysis (“PD”) machine includes: a frame configured to be set on a supporting surface; at least one load cell; a scale platform supported by the frame via the at least one load cell positioned between the frame and the scale platform; a drain container support in mechanical communication with and extending downwardly from the scale platform, the machine configured such that when the frame is set on the supporting surface, at least one fresh PD fluid supply container is supportable by the scale platform above the at least one load cell and at least one used PD fluid drain container is supportable by the drain container support below the at least one load cell, so that a combined weight of fresh PD fluid and used PD fluid may be sensed by the at least one load cell.

Medical pump
A pump for treating a patient is disclosed that includes a spring-biased plunger biased toward actuation against a tube; a cam shaft configured to actuate the spring-based plunger; a lever actuatable between a closed position and an open position; a shaft coupled to the lever, the shaft having a central axis centrally along the length of the shaft, the shaft coupled to the lever to rotate around the central axis in accordance with actuation of the lever; and a lift cam pivotally coupled to the shaft, wherein the lift cam pivots around a lift cam axis, the lift cam axis of the lift cam is parallel to the central axis of the shaft, and the lift cam engages with the spring-based plunger to lift the spring-biased plunger off of the cam shaft as the shaft rotates in accordance with actuating the lever to the open position.
CONTROLLED ARTERIAL/VENOUS ACCESS
Apparatus and methods for controlled arterial/venous access are provided. The apparatus and methods may include a section of tubing anastomosed to a bodily lumen. A lumen clamping means may utilize a clamp manipulator to effectively seal the tubing, and the manipulator may be operated by two fingers. A needle receptor may be utilized, and the receptor may utilize a rotating member to guide a needle inserted from outside the body, in order ensure accurate placement into a channel. The channel may be in liquid communication with the tubing. The manipulator and the needle receptor may be palpable from outside the body.

CLAMP, ESPECIALLY FOR A CONNECTION BETWEEN A VENTILATOR AND A PATIENT
A clamp (1) releases or blocks a fluid connection as desired. A clamping tube (3, 4, 5.1, 5.2, 7.1) of the clamp (1) includes a blocking fluid guide element (7.1) and two connecting fluid guide elements (3, 4). The blocking fluid guide element (7.1) is connected in a fluid-tight manner to the two connecting fluid guide elements (3, 4). A clamping unit of the clamp (1) includes two clamping components (8.1, 10.1, 8.2, 10.2). The blocking fluid guide element (7.1) is located between the two clamping components (8.1, 10.1, 8.2, 10.2). In a releasing state of the clamping unit, the blocking fluid guide element (7.1) establishes a fluid connection between the two connecting fluid guide elements (3, 4). In a blocking state, the two clamping components (8.1, 10.1, 8.2, 10.2) prevent a flow of fluid through the blocking fluid guide element (7.1).
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING, REGULATING, OR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW
A flow meter, and related system and method are provided. The flow meter includes a coupler, a support member, an image sensor, a valve, and one or more processors. The coupler is adapted to couple to a drip chamber. The support member is operatively coupled to the coupler. The image sensor has a field of view and is operatively coupled to the support member. The image sensor is positioned to view the drip chamber within the field of view. The one or more processors are operatively coupled to the image sensor to receive image data therefrom and to the actuator to actuate the valve. The one or more processors are configured to estimate a flow of fluid through the drip chamber and to actuate the valve to control the flow of fluid through the drip chamber to achieve a target flow rate.
