Retaining device and method of using the same
A retaining device configured for retaining at least one medical device adjacent to a supporting surface. The retaining device includes a plate shaped holding portion defining a peripheral edge, a slot extending from the peripheral edge defining a loading channel, and communicating with an internal holding area. The internal holding area is dimensioned to accept the largest medical device the retaining device is configured to be used with. An attachment mechanism is connected to the holding portion to secure the retaining device to a supporting surface. A section of medical device may be inserted into and along the loading channel to enter the holding area and be retained within.
Flexible tubing management system for pharmaceutical, bioprocess applications, and food/dairy applications
A system for managing flexible conduit or tubing used in pharmaceutical, bioprocess, or food/dairy applications includes a segment of flexible conduit or tubing and a plurality of conduit tracks, each conduit track including a conduit channel disposed on a first side thereof and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and dimensioned to receive the segment of flexible conduit or tubing therein, each conduit track further including a connector channel disposed on a second, opposing side and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and containing the one or more connectors that connect adjacent conduit tracks. The conduit tracks can be connected to each other or other process components.
Ambulatory medical pump cartridge locking system
A low-cost medical pump for ambulatory use provides an improved IV line cartridge attachment allowing for single handed, low force release while preventing inadvertent IV line cartridge release. A rotatable side lever minimizes the force required to move the locking elements against a spring biased force urging the locking elements to a locking position.
DEVICE FOR CLAMPING AND HOLDING MEDICAL HOSE LINES
A device for clamping and holding medical hose lines includes a hose clamp with two clamping legs on opposite sides of a passage. The passage is configured to receive a first hose portion. The clamping legs are movable between a clamping position, in which the clamping legs constrict the passage and clamp the first hose portion, and a release position in which the constriction is eliminated. The device also includes a holding clip connected to the hose clamp. The holding clip has two arms arranged opposite one another bordering a recess. The recess is configured to receive at least one second hose portion to be held between the arms. The arms are movable relative to one another between an open position, in which the arms expose a slot opening radially into the recess, and a holding position in which the slot is closed or at least constricted.
INTRAVENOUS LINE HOLDER
Described is an intravenous line housing defining an intravenous line guide. The intravenous line guide is configured to hold the intravenous line and direct the intravenous line along a path. Also provided is an apparatus comprising the intravenous housing and a securing means to secure the intravenous line housing to the patient.
Urinary catheter bridging device, systems and methods thereof
Provided herein is a bridging device including, in some embodiments, a piece of tubing including a securement loop, a first connector at a first end of the piece of tubing, and a second connector at a second end of the piece of tubing. Also provided herein is a male external catheter (“MEC”) kit including, in some embodiments, an MEC; a drainage bag for the MEC; and the bridging device for fluidly connecting the MEC to the drainage bag. The securement loop of the piece of tubing is configured for securing the bridging device in a securement device optionally included in the MEC kit. The first connector is configured to connect to the MEC. The second connector is configured to connect to the drainage bag for the MEC. Methods for making and using the foregoing bridging device and MEC kit are also provided.
IV tubing carriage system
A device for supporting IV tubing along a distance and suspending the tubing above the floor includes a support arm and a cradle. The cradle is positioned along a shaft of the support and is configured to receive a length of IV tubing therein.
LOCKING SLIDE CLAMP
A clamp is provided. The clamp includes a flexible uniform body. The flexible uniform body includes an aperture configured to allow a tubing to pass through the flexible uniform body. The aperture is configured to allow unrestricted flow of a fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a first position of the aperture and restrict the flow of the fluid within the tubing when the tubing is at a second position of the aperture. The flexible uniform body includes an engageable coupling mechanism disposed at a first portion of the flexible uniform body. The coupling mechanism is configured to, when engaged, cover at least a portion of the release point of the aperture such that the tubing is locked in place within the pinch point of the aperture.
Compact Insertion Assemblies of Rapidly Insertable Central Catheters and Methods Thereof
Disclosed are compact rapidly insertable central catheter (“RICC”) insertion assemblies and methods. For example, a RICC insertion assembly can include a RICC, an introducer assembly, an access guidewire, and a coupler coupling together the RICC and the introducer assembly. The RICC can include a catheter tube, a catheter hub, and one or more extension legs connected in the foregoing order. The introducer assembly can include an introducer needle coupled to a syringe. The introducer needle can include a needle-hub through hole passing through a needle hub and connecting to a needle-shaft lumen of a needle shaft. The access guidewire can include a proximal portion disposed in the RICC and a distal portion disposed in the needle-shaft lumen through the needle-hub through hole. The coupler can enforce a loop in the access guidewire over which the catheter tube follows, thereby compacting the RICC insertion assembly and making it easier to handle.
Locking Slide Clamp
A clamp includes a plate comprising an opening and a slit in communication with the opening; and a cap flexibly attached to the plate and comprising an engaging surface corresponding to the opening. A method for clamping a tube includes passing the tube through an opening in a plate of a clamp; sliding the tube aside towards a slit in the clamp, wherein the slit is in communication with the opening; and securing a cap in the opening so as to lock the clamp, preventing the tubing from entering the opening, wherein the cap is attached to the plate. The cap can flexibly adjust between an open position with the engaging surface outside the opening and a locked position with the engaging surface disposed within the opening. The clamp is suitable for use with medical tubing, such as hemodialysis catheters, intravenous lines, and peripherally inserted central catheters.
