INFUSION PUMPS AND METHODS WITH SHAPE MEMORY WIRE DRIVEN SYRINGE MECHANISM
Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods for a user-wearable infusion pump actuated with a shape memory alloy (SMA) wire. Embodiments enable an SMA wire driven infusion pump using a single length of SMA wire to provide multiple pulse sizes and corresponding medicament dispensing sizes. The multiple pulse sizes can include a larger pulse size for larger volumes to limit battery drain but smaller pulse sizes for precision of delivery.

SYRINGE PUMP AND RELATED METHOD
A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a motor, and a sliding block assembly. The lead screw has threads and the motor is coupled to the lead screw to rotate it. The half-nut housing has a half nut and a barrel cam. The half nut is disposed within the half-nut housing. The half nut has half-nut threads at an end adjacent to the lead screw void. The half nut engages or disengages with the threads of the lead screw. The half nut includes a half-nut cam-follower surface and a half nut slot. The barrel cam is disposed within the half-nut housing and engages with the half-nut cam-follower surface. The barrel cam includes a pin to fit within the half nut slot such that the barrel cam rotates between a first position and a second position to actuate the half nut between the engagement position and the disengagement position, respectively.
Vascular ablation
The disclosure includes a vein ablation system, comprising a catheter having an elongated body. In some embodiments, the vein ablation system comprises an ablation device at a distal portion of the elongated body. According to some embodiments, the vein ablation system comprises a control device at a proximal portion of the elongated body. The control device may comprise an input mechanism configured to simultaneously control at least two of a longitudinal translation of the ablation device through a target vessel, a rotation of the ablation device about a central longitudinal axis, and an infusion of a chemical agent into the target vessel.
MULTI-RATE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE DEVICE
A drive system for a drug delivery device is described. The drive system comprises an axial drive component configured to drive advancement of a stopper sealing a container; a variable rate drive drives advancement of the axial drive component and a controller controls the variable rate drive to deliver a first volume of medicament at a first rate, and a second volume of medicament at a second rate. The controller is configured to: optionally, identify a start point for delivery of medicament from the container, the start point being identified as completion of a predefined preparatory event; drive the variable rate drive at a first speed during a first phase from the identified start point to deliver the first volume of medicament at the first rate; drive the variable rate drive at a second speed during a second phase to deliver the second volume of medicament at the second rate.
Fluid pump having at least one impeller blade and a support device
The invention relates to a fluid pump comprising at least one impeller blade (1, 1′, 1″) which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (3) and conveys a fluid in operation and comprising a support device (4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 12′, 13, 13′, 14, 14′, 15, 17) which supports the at least one impeller blade (1, 1′, 1″) in at least one support region, wherein the support device is change-able between a first state in which the rotor is radially compressed and a second state in which the rotor is radially expanded; and wherein at least one impeller blade extends at least partly radially inwardly with respect to the axis of rotation (3) from the support region/support regions in the radially expanded state of the rotor.
Deformable drug reservoir for wearable drug delivery device
A drug delivery device has a housing with an adhesive pad associated with the lower surface of the housing and configured to removably attach to a human body surface. A deformable drug reservoir is positioned within the housing and includes an outlet, with a needle fluidically connected to the drug reservoir and configured to define at least a portion of a fluid flow path between the drug reservoir and said human body surface. A delivery assembly is associated with the drug reservoir and includes a roller and a drive assembly, with the drive assembly being controlled by the controller during a drug delivery routine to move the roller from a first position to a second position so as to cause the roller to contact and deform the reservoir, thereby conveying a drug from the reservoir via the outlet.
INTEGRATED CLOSED-LOOP ARTIFICIAL PANCREAS AND DATA OBTAINING METHOD FOR PROGRAM MODULE THEREOF
An integrated closed-loop artificial pancreas includes: a detection module; a program module which is imported into the total daily dose algorithm and the current insulin infusion algorithm; and an infusion module which is connected to the program module. The infusion module includes an infusion tube which is used as the insulin infusion channel, the detecting electrodes are provided on/in the wall of the infusion tube, and the infusion module can infuse insulin required according to the data of the current insulin infusion dose.
