Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device comprising a pumping system (4) and a liquid reservoir (7) fluidly connected to a delivery system outlet (12), the liquid reservoir comprising an elastic plunger (14) sealingly slidable within a container wall (13) of the liquid reservoir for expelling liquid out of the reservoir. The pumping system comprises a piston pump (5) comprising a plunger actuator arranged to displace the plunger (14), and a dosing unit (6) arranged downstream of the liquid reservoir (7) and fluidly connected to the liquid reservoir. The dosing unit (6) comprises a chamber portion (22) arranged between an inlet valve (24) and an outlet valve (26), the chamber portion (22) arranged to receive from the liquid reservoir a pump cycle volume of liquid under an operational pressure greater than ambient pressure generated by the piston pump, and to the deliver said pump cycle volume of liquid to the delivery system outlet, said pump cycle volume being dependent on the operational pressure.
ENTERAL FEEDING LIQUID DELIVER
An apparatus and method for delivering liquid to a subject using a pumping device of a flow control apparatus. The method includes recognizing a pump set including a liquid container with a volume of liquid mounted to the flow control apparatus whereby the pump set is positioned to be acted on by the pumping device to deliver aliquots of liquid through the pump set. Operation of the pumping device is initiated to draw a prescribed volume of the liquid from the liquid container for a duration of time. A single aliquot of the volume of liquid is delivered from the liquid container to the subject. Operation of the pumping device is paused for a predetermined period of time before delivering another single aliquot of the volume of liquid from the liquid container to the subject.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUID DELIVERY
A system for at least partial closed-loop control of a medical condition is disclosed. The system includes at least one medical fluid pump. The medical fluid pump including a sensor for determining the volume of fluid pumped by the pump. Also, at least one continuous analyte monitor, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the medical fluid pump and the at least one continuous analyte monitor. The controller includes a processor. The processor includes instructions for delivery of medical fluid based at least on data received from the at least one continuous analyte monitor.
Medical pump with flow control
Methods and devices for accurately pumping small quantities of liquid to a patient with a broad range of flow and low cost.
Ambulatory infusion device
An ambulatory infusion device including a pump drive unit, a valve drive unit and a control unit. The pump drive unit includes a pump actuator and a pump driver coupled to a piston of a metering pump unit. The valve drive unit includes a valve actuator and a valve driver coupled to a valve unit for transmitting a valve switching force or torque. The control unit controls a repeated execution of: (a) placing the valve unit in a filling state; (b) displacing the piston in a retraction direction; (c) displacing the piston in an advancing direction by a backlash compensation distance; (d) switching the valve unit from the filling state into a draining state; and (e) further displacing the piston in the advancing direction in a number of incremental steps over an extended time period.
Apparatus, system and method for fluid delivery
A filling aid. The filling aid includes a locking portion including a groove feature; and a locking feature having a locked and an unlocked position; and a filling syringe holder slidably attached to the locking portion, the filling syringe holder including a filling needle cradle portion having a tongue feature; and a needle housing portion comprising at least one tab having a starting position and a filling position, wherein the groove feature configured to accommodate the tongue feature, and wherein the locking feature interact with the filling syringe holder wherein when the locking feature moves from the locked position to the unlocked position the needle housing portion moves from the starting position to the filling position.
Patch-sized fluid delivery systems and methods
A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.
